Williams, Michael J., 62, of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Community Hospital in New Port Richey. A native of New Hampshire, he moved to this area in 1979. He was retired from Mike Williams Construction and was Catholic by faith. Survivors include his wife, Inez; his children, Karen Reilly of Tampa, Teena Avadakian and Michael Williams both of Zephyrhills; a stepdaughter, Jill Costello of Virginia; four brothers, Russell and Stephen Williams, both of New Hampshire, Christopher Williams of California and Kerry Williams of Nevada; a sister, Peggy Sullivan of Dade City; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.

Landreth, Dorothy H., 80, Zephyrhills, passed away, Wednesday, April 2, 2008. She was born March 19, 1928 in Scottsville, NY to Leon and Julia Elliott. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William Landreth in 2005.. She is survived by her three children: Daniel Elliott (Dayna) Christopher, Idaho Falls, ID Bruce (Julia) Christopher, Zephyrhills and Patricia Landreth, Zephyrhills; her siblings, Marge Spezzano, Cocoa Beach, FL, Arthur Elliott, Victor, NY and Billy Elliott, Titusville, FL; two grandchildren: Jason (Melissa) Quattlebaum and Mandy Quattlebaum and two great grandchildren: Kiersten and Landen.
Bert F. Hartford
Hartford, Bert F., 88 of Zephyrhills, Fl, passed away April 1, 2008 under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City, Fl. He was born December 18, 1919 in Rochester, NH to Llyle and Josie (Glidden) Hartford. He lived in So. Lebanon, ME, until moving to Zephyrhills in 2003. He worked as a machinist in Sanford, ME and Gonic, NH. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 yeas, Isabelle (Russell) Hartford; two step-children, daughter, Sandi Drew Roberge (Don), of Crystal River, FL; son Larry Drew (Denise) of Zephyrhills, Fl; two sisters, Lois Bourgoine of Rochester, NH and Esther Fortin of East Rochester, NH; one brother, Llyle Hartford of Morrill, ME. Memorial services will be held May 2, 2008 at the First Congregational Church, Fort King Rd. Zephyrhills, FL. William Donald Murphy
William Donald Murphy passed away on March 31, 2008 at his home in Wesley Chapel. He was born the son of Peter and Frances Murphy, on August 7, 1935 in Port Ewen, New York He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, including the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Fidelina Menendez, on December 26, 1954. “Bill” worked in the metal business as warehouse laborer, salesman, and retired as vice president of his own company. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Pete and Jack, his sister and brother-in- law, Betty and Clarence Gardner, and brother-in-law Joseph Carrubba.. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Fidelina: his son, William D. Murphy and wife Crystal of Wesley Chapel; his daughter Deborah Jenney and husband Stephen of Jackman, Maine; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; sisters June Carrubba, Rosemary Allen and husband Frank, all of Kingston, New York; brother-in-laws, Wllliam Kracht and wife Barbara of Tampa,, Jose Menendez of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, April 5 at the Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills, Florida. David A. Solan
David A. Solan, 59, of Wesley Chapel, FL died unexpectedly March 25, 2008. He was born in Hammond, IN and had recently moved with his family to Wesley Chapel in July 2007. He was a 12 year veteran of the US Air Force and had served in the Vietnam War. He retired in 2003 with 24 years as a pilot with American Airlines. His greatest gift of life was spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife, Kimberly; son, Matthew; daughter, Jamie Caroline; mother, Irene Solan; siblings, Joseph Solan (Maureen) and Sara Powell (Steve); and many other close family members and friends. A Graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Military Honors.
Anabel “Ann” Burghardt McKenzie Friedman
Friedman, Anabel “Ann” Burghardt McKenzie, 87, of Wesley Chapel, FL, died Monday, March 31, 2008. She was born in Baker, Montana, she and her husband, Max relocated to Florida about 1952. Anabel is preceded by her husband, Max in 1995. She leaves behind six children: Georgeann, George, Jr., Gordon, Kerry, Kim and Kevin; six grandchildren: Ron Wilhite, Julie Ann McKenzie, Kristin McKenzie, Kerry McKenzie, Jr., Lawson McKenzie and Teri Jo McKenzie; six great grandchildren: Brittney Watson, Joshua McKenzie, Megan McKenzie, Devan McKenzie, Mikayla McKenzie and Kiera Ann McKenzie. Mrs. Friedman retired as a nursing assistant from Tampa General Hospital. She accomplished many things during her lifetime, however, she would tell you her greatest accomplishment and legacy were her children. Her greatest love and joy in life was her personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Truly Anabel was the example of the virtuous woman found in Proverbs 31 in God’s Word, The Bible. “She stretched out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. Strength and Honor are her clothing; She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up and call her blessed;” Proverbs 31:20, 25, 27, 28 KJV). She was a member of Victorious Life Church in Wesley Chapel. Thank you Mom! Truly you will be missed by all who’s lives you touched.

Ponticell, Walter J., Jr. “Wally”, 59, Wesley Chapel, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at East Hernando Pasco Hospice, Dade City. He was born July 3, 1948 in Chicago, IL the son of Walter, Sr. and Barbara Ponticell. He was an Air Force Viet Nam Veteran. He retired from Motorola as a computer network security specialist. He has lived in the area the last 5 years. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dr. Judith A. Ponticell; his brother, Paul Glenn (Leslie) Ponticell, his nephew, Brian Ponticell, both of Chicago; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Ackerman Chicago; a sister-in-law, Joan Ackerman, Carol Stream, IL. Memorial Services will be 3 pm Sunday, April 6 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills.
Charles "Charlie Brown" Crisp
Crisp, Charles, “Charlie Brown”, 89, of Dade City, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Royal Oak Nursing Center. A native of Kentucky, he spent most of his life in Virginia working in a Coal Mine. He was a decorated WWII Veteran serving in Europe from D-Day thru the Battle of the Buldge. He retired and moved to this area in 1979. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, and the UMWA. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Blanche; two sons, Gerald Crisp and his wife, Mary of Webster and Phillip R. Crisp and his wife, Dianne of Dade City; a brother, Leon Crisp of Tracy City, TN; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.

Hans, Joseph Edwards, Sr., 79, Zephyrhills, FL. passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008. He was born April 6, 1928 in Camden, NJ to Harry and Lucy Hans. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and member of Teamsters Local #676 (Bryan Meats Co). He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna May Catling Hans, 3 sisters and a brother. He is survived by his children: Bertha (John) Panzarella, Zephyrhills, Joseph E. (Becky) Hans, Jr., TN, Norma Jean (Sonny) Clark, NJ, William L (Debbie) Hans, Sr., NH, and Joann E. (James) Anderson, Florida; two brothers, Charles Hans, Sr., NJ and Edward Hans, Sr., FL, Sister, Ruth Coffer, OK; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
