Woodrich, Elizabeth, Betty C., 88 of Zephyrhills, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. She was born Feb. 15, 1920 in Manteno, Illinois to Oliver and Clara Monnette. She moved to Florida in 1968. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Zephyrhills Moose Lodge. She was the first paid cook for Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Woodrich, son, Jim Woodrich and daughter, Monte Sherry. She is survived by her children: Kathryn Knapp, Zephyrhills and Robert (Pam) Woodrich, Houston, TX; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City.

Andrews, Anna Geraldine Morrison, Born in Clarksville TN on Nov 3, 1920 passed away on Feb. 23, 2008 at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City, Fl. She was a graduate of Clarksville High School and the University Of Tennessee School Of Nursing at Memphis. She was retired from East Pasco Medical Center. She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas V. Andrews. She is survived by her cherished husband of 63 years, Thomas L. Andrews; 3 daughters; Susan Jarman (Douglas), Terry Vela (Reynaldo) and Patti Avvenire. . 6 Grandchildren; Susanna and Caitlin Jarman, Lorraine, Andrew and Seth Vela and Joshua Andrews. 7 Great grandchildren; Adam Vela, Hannah Herz, Arielle Vela, Seth Vela II, Jacenia Vela, Alex Vela and Caelan Jarman.
Gerald L. Carter
Carter, Gerald L., 65, of Dade City, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa. He was a Dade City native and life long resident. He was a very talented mason and construction worker and an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Newsome of Dade City and Danny Newsome of Atlanta; one daughter, Crystal Freeman of Kathleen; a stepson, Chris Hodges of Cape Coral; a brother, Wayne Carter of Brooksville; two sisters, Judy Latunski of Dade City and Linda Beck of Dade City; and three grandchildren, Garrett Newsome, Sara Newsome and River Freeman. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the 5th Street Chapel Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Enterprise Cemetery.

Clemson-Peiffer, Diane A., 49, of Zephyrhills, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Philadelphia, she moved to this area in 2004. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Zephyrhills. Survivors include her mother, Matilda Clemson-Hinman of Zephyrhills; three brothers, Daniel Clemson of Stewart, Fla, David Clemson of Philadelphia and Douglas Clemson of Zephyrhills; her companion, Charles Keppel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose V. Rachel
Rachel, Rose V., 75, of San Antonio, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House in Dade City. She was born on October 1, 1932, the daughter of Anthony and Frances Gude Rachel. She was retired form St. Leo Abbey & College, working in the housekeeping and the laundry. She was a lifetime member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio. Rose’s passion in life was baking for family and friends with everyone asking for her famous pound cake. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Louis, Pat, Joe and Felecita. She is survived by her sister, Irma McLeod, and was a devoted second mother to many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City or St. Anthony’s Catholic School.

Mrs. Patricia Simmons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away at home February 23, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Simmons; 5 sons: Nathan Cummings & Patty, Carl Cummings, and wife Leasha, Adam Cummings, Richard Cummings and wife Diana and Brian Cummings & Gemma. 8 grandchildren: Samantha, Tony, Jordan, C.J., Isabelle, Trista, Brisa and Mia. Brother; Scott Rich Kendrick of Hawaii. Sister; Margaret Ford of California. Although she will be dearly missed, each family member and each friend whose life she touched was bettered by the genuine love she gave to us. Bernadette Seme
Seme, Bernadette, 98, Crystal Lake, Zephyrhills, formerly of LaFargeville, NY, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008. She was born June 13, 1909 in Jefferson, OH to George and Mary Gowday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Seme in 1991. She wrote her memoirs into two books in 2002 and 2005. She was active in St. John Catholic Church in New York and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Zephyrhills. She was taking organ lessons and played the organ, member of Writers Club, Dade City Garden Club and Singles Group. She had been active for 25 years in 4H in New York. She is survived by two daughters: Marlene Seme (Henry) Liede, Pennsylvania and Sheila Seme, Zephyrhills; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be 9 to 10 am Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at later date in LaFargeville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LaFargeville Fire Department, 20411 Sunrise Ave., LaFargeville, NY 13691.
William T. Beardsley
Beardsley, William T., 85, of Zephyrhills, died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at home. A native of Pontiac, MI, he moved to this area after his retirement from Ford Motor Company in 1980. He was a member of both the Elks and Moose Lodge. Survivors include a son, Rick of Spring Hill; four stepchildren; three grandchildren; and a special friend, June Frohlick. Funeral services are private.
Willard K. Fritz
Fritz, Willard K., 79, of Betmar, Zephyrhills, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008. He was born June 26, 1928 in Owendale, MI, the son of Charles and Louise Fritz. He worked in Detroit, formerly of Kinde, MI, before moving to Zephyrhills 14 years ago. He was lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce E. Fritz; his daughters, Carol (Richard) Rush, Shelby Township, MI; Diane Patterson, Lake Wales, FL and Kathleen (Tim) Fisher, Filion, MI; siblings, Vernita Schuster, Leonard Fritz, Aldine Ewald, Luella Ewald, Matt Fritz and Richard Fritz, all of Michigan; 6 grandchildren: David and Darran Patterson, Kristy Phillips and Lisa Fisher; Melissa and Richard Rush; 8 great grandchildren, many other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Norman, Otis, Wallace and Calvin Fritz. Services will be 11 am Wed., Feb. 27 at First United Methodist Church, Zephyrhills. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Inurnment will be at later date in Colfax, Bad Ax, MI.
