Troyano, Denise L..64, Zephyrhills, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008. She was born Sept 10, 1943 in Highland Park, Illinois. She was a resident of Florida for 35 years, and graduated from The University of South Florida with a degree in Sociology. She enjoyed quilting, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her husband and new granddaughter Sedona May. She is survived by her husband Ted Troyano of 12 years, Children Joseph Murphy, Anthony Pastella, Mary Sacramento Brother Pete Blockhan.
William Clinton Chandler
William Clinton Chandler, 81, of Zephyrhills, died on May 20, 2008. He was born to the late Clinton Chandler and Angie Fox Chandler on May 23, 1926, in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Chandler graduated from Anniston High School in 1944. That same year he was drafted into the United States Army as a Private and was wounded in the leg while serving in World War II. He received his commission as Second Lieutenant in 1948. His military career included service as an Artillery Officer, an engineer in the Army Corps of Engineers and as Deputy Commander of a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH). He retired from the US Army Reserves in 1977 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His service commendations included the Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart, Good Conduct, Occupation of Germany, World War II Victory, EAMET, Bronze Star, Rhineland Battle Star, and the Central Europe Battle Star. Dr. Chandler earned a BS in Agriculture, a BS in Agricultural Engineering, a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, a BS in Medicine and an MD from the University of Arkansas. The doctor’s recreational interests were varied and included General Aviation, Model Rail Roads, Power Boating, Sail Boating, Hiking and Camping, Spelunking, Rock Climbing, Scuba Diving, Photography, Computers, and tools of any description. Widely read, his literary interests ranged from Shakespeare, to the Founding Fathers, the Harvard Classics, and nonfiction. His knowledge of biblical facts was truly encyclopedic. He was a strict constitutionalist and a strong advocate of “a rule of Law rather than a rule of Men.” One of his favorite quotes is inscribed on the Jefferson Memorial and reads: “I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." He served as a deacon at First Community Church of Dade City. Dr. Chandler came to Pasco County in July of 1963 where he served the community as a family doctor. He practiced general family medicine as well as specializing in Geriatric care. He served at several local hospitals and nursing homes. He was medical director of Zephyr Haven Nursing Home from 1983 to 1993. For over thirty years he served as an Aviation Medical Examiner. His professional associations included membership in the Florida Medical Association, President of the Pasco County Medical Society in 1980, Honorary Staff Member of Pasco Regional Medical Center (Department of Medicine), and Consulting Staff of the East Pasco Medical Center. He married his wife and soul mate Susan Jane Ketcham Chandler on December 17, 1969. They were married for 38 years. He is survived by his five sons and one daughter: Clinton William Chandler and his wife Jolene Chandler of Jacksonville, FL; Joel Edward Chandler and his wife Debbie Chandler of Lakeland, FL; David Paul Chandler and his wife Heather Chandler of Zephyrhills, FL; William Andrew Chandler and his wife Tricia Chandler of Palm Bay, FL; Amy Leigh Chandler-Gonzalez and her husband Arley Gonzalez of Kissimmee, FL; and Robert Scott Chandler of Zephyrhills, FL. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Wesley Clinton Chandler, Joel Edward Chandler, Jr. , Ian Stirling Chandler, Grace Suzanne Chandler, Samuel Timothy Chandler, Andrew Blake Chandler, Alyssa Breanne Chandler, Alexa Brooke Chandler, and Alivia Brie Chandler. His extended family includes his mother-in-law Wealthy Jane Ketcham, his brother-in-law Michael Parker Ketcham and his wife Julie Ketcham and their children Angela, Laura and Jake Ketcham. A viewing will be held at the First Baptist Church in Zephyrhills on 5th Avenue beginning at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2008 followed by a celebration of his life at 1:00 PM. Alessandro Guglielmi
GUGLIELMI, Alessandro, of Ripi, Italy, passed away May 18, 2008. He was born December 16, 1920. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Santina Diana Guglielmi and son-in-law, Francesco D' Eramo. He is survived by his daughters, owners of Piccola Italia Restaurant, Antonietta D' Erama and Maria Pullo (Sergio); grandchildren Pia Pullo Sierra (Tim) and Robert Pullo (Jana); great-grandchildren, Alexander and Victoria Sierra and Dominic Pullo; sister in Ripi, Italy, Francesa Guglielmi Salpepi; brother in New York, Renato Guglielmi (Iolanda); and many loving nephews and nieces. Visitation will be on 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Hodges Funeral Home on State Road 54 W. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills, Fla., with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Dade City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice. Pallbearers are Giorgio Salpepi, John Guglielmi, Robert Pullo, Tim Sierra, Alex Sierra and Dan Gawel. Honorary pallbearers are Renato Guglielmi, Sergio Pullo, Michael Sierra and Paul J. Sierra.
Rastus Kimbrell
Kimbrell, Rastus, 68, of Dade City, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 19, 2008. He was born December 29, 1939 in Brilliant, AL to John Thomas Kimbrell and Snoe Banks Lawrence Kimbrell and moved to this area 2 years ago from Brandon, FL where he had been active at the First Baptist Church of Brandon. He was retired from the trucking industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City. He was a faithful volunteer with the PrimeTimers Group at First Baptist Church, a former business agent with the local union # 79, an avid antique car enthusiast, a volunteer coach for Fishawk Wolfpack and previous coach for the Tampa PeeWee Football League. He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Joyce Kimbrell, Dade City; 2 children: W.T. Kimbrell, Seffner, Annette Kimbrell Ali, Riverview; sister: Sonja Diaz, Tampa; brother: Ray Kimbrell, Branford; grandchildren: LeAnn Carey, Lakeland, Wylie Gunnar McLendon, Riverview; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Dade City. Elizabeth (Batista) Biechler
Biechler, Elizabeth (Batista), 63, of Dade City, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Pasco Regional Medial Center. A native of Puerto Rico she moved to this area in 2006 from Southern California. She was Catholic by faith. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; six children; 18 Grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one sister; four brothers; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11:00 am at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.

O’Brath, Juanita, 76, passed away on May 20, 2008 at her home in Lakeland, Florida. Juanita was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 5, 1931 in Covington County, AL to Johnny Lee McAdams and Ethel Melini Bodiford. Juanita enjoyed crocheting, reading, and fishing. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Harrelson, and her late husband William A. O’Brath Sr. Survivors include her 3 sons, Tommy (Nancy) Harrelson of Zephyrhills, FL., Johnny (Aletha) Harrelson of Zephyrhills, FL., and David Harrelson of OK; 6 daughters, Edith (Russell) Cloud, Brenda Barley, Bunny (Raymond) Eady, Polly Harrelson-Boykin, Vicky (Thom) Morris, Cynthia Harrelson all of Lakeland, FL., 1 step-son, William A (Kathy) O’Brath Jr. of Bedford, KY, 2 step-daughters, Shirley (Ronnie) Rodgers of KY and Barbara (Willis) Bussey of GA. Juanita is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held by Hodges Family Funeral Home at 36327 SR 54, Zephyrhills, FL 33542 on Friday, May 23, 2008 from 5-7PM. Services will be on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 11AM, burial to follow at Oakside Cemetery in Zephyrhills.
Diana J. Nelson
Nelson, Diana J., 59, of Dade City, Fla., passed away May17, 2008 in her house surrounded by her loving family. Her death came after a 4 year very courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 2, 1949 in Chicopee, MA to George and Evelyn Martel. She attended Chicopee schools and married Howard M. Nelson, Jr. on Sept. 24, 1965. She was an amazing woman who loved life and lived every day to the fullest. She was loved by every person who had the privilege of meeting her. Besides he husband, she is survived by her daughter, Natalie and Thomas Barton of Dade City; her son, Thomas and Beth Nelson of Chicopee, MA; daughter, Nicole and Shaun Carlson of Westfield, MA; a sister, Carol Provost of South Hadley, MA; two brothers, Edward Martel of Cranston, RI and Allen Martel of Ridge Manor; and four wonderful grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Martel. She will be cremated privately. The family will be having an Open House Celebration of her life on Sat., May 24, 2008 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at her home at 37050 Highlands Ct. in Dade City. Braxton, Dawn Miller, 57, of Dade City, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at home. A loving wife and mother, she moved to this area in 1987 from Philadelphia. Survivors include her husband, Roy; two sons, Ronnie and Ricky Thompson; two daughters, Virginia Fadling and Kimberly Thompson; and two step daughters, Rachel Braxton and Devon Amaro. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the funeral home.
Carlos Isabell
Isabell, Carlos, 63, of Ridge Manor, died Sunday, May 18, 2008. A native of Leeds, Alabama, he moved to this area in 2003. He was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Peggy; two daughters, Jessie Heldrick of St. Louis and Judy Studdard of Amory, MS; a son, Carlos Isabell, Jr. of Vernon, AL; six grandchildren; an aunt Sara Oldenettel of Ridge Manor; and two nieces, Donna and Cathy. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, May 22, 2008. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 223, 2008 with Rev. Randall Belcher officiating.
