Gaedt, Verna L., 97, Zephyrhills, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008. She was born Nov. 22, 1910 in Wixom, MI to LaRue and Floy Bogart. She had wintered in Florida for over 30 years and permanently the last 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Gaedt. She is survived by two daughters, Lillian (Jack) Fremlin, Dade City and Betty Brown, Zephyrhills; brother, Louis Bogart, Mount Pleasant, MI; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Inurnment will be at a later date in Wixom, MI.

Arlyn M. Davis
Davis, Arlyn M., Zephyrhills, Fl, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008. She has lived in Florida since 1973. She was preceded by her husband, William Davis, Sr. and son, David L. Davis. Survived by her son, William (Susan) Davis, of West Salem, Ohio; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be inurned next to her husband at Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City

Irene Imbler Stambaugh
Stambaugh, Irene Imbler, 88, Zephyrhills, passed away Friday, May 09, 2008 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. She was born November 17, 1019 near Lowell, Oregon where she resided until moving to California in 1939. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Pasadena College, a Bachelor of Divinity degree from Nazarene Seminary in Kansas City, a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a PHD degree from Indiana University. Later she was a member of the faculty of the College of Human Ecology of Cornell University. They retired to Florida 15 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Stambaugh, Jr. She is survived by a brother, Roger Imbler, Reedsport, OR and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery.

John Richard Dufraine
Dufraine, John Richard, St. Petersburg, FL, passed away, April 26, 2008. He is survived by his 3 children: Richard W. and Douglas A. Dufraine and Cynthia L. Leblanc; his grandchildren: James and Amanda Dufraine, Spencer and Tyler Beaugard, and Lila Doherty; and the mother of his children, Frances Dufraine. Graveside services will be 2:30 Monday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

Mamie Frances Black Burnett
Burnett, Mamie Frances Black, 53, of Zephyrhills, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. She had been a life long resident of this area and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee. Survivors include a son, Benjamin; two daughters, Heather Molden of Zephyrhills and Eva Blevens of Marion, Ohio; her father, Walter Black of Lacoochee; two sisters, Ann Musgrove and Elaine Wilson, both of Trilby; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services are private.

Merietta DeRycke
De Rycke, Marietta, 91, Zephyrhills, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at her home. She was born Feb. 15, 1917 at Mishawaka, IN. They have lived in Florida since 1962. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Oscar De Rycke; two sisters, Camilla Saros, and Evelyn De Vos, both of Mishawaka, IN, many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 10-11, Monday, May 12 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 54 Chapel, Zephyrhills. Funeral Mass will be 11:30 Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.

Nancy James
James, Nancy, 74, of Zephyrhills, passed away on May 6, 2008. Survived by Daughter, Lori Dorsey; sisters, Linda Ball and Barbara Lewis; brother, Jim Bliss; four grandchildren: Robert Clemons, Ryan, Ricky and Randy Dorsey. She was a member of Zephyrhills Jehovah Witness Congregation.

Arthur David Lankford
Arthur David Lankford, 63, of Dade City passed away May 5th, 2008 at his home. He was born October 21, 1944 in Dade City to Perry and Mary Lankford. David was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. Some of his enjoyments included fishing, watching football, Nascar and playing the Lotto. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Roy and Billie Lankford. Survivors include 1 son, Albert (Kara) Lankford; 2 daughters, Rebecca (Robert Jr.) Thompson and Audrey (Jeremiah) Estepp; 1 grandchild, Rachel Thompson; 1 brother, Donnie (Margaret) Lankford; 1 sister, Frances (Jim) Smith; mother of his children, Carolyn Lankford and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 11:00 – 11:30 Friday May 9, 2008 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US Highway 301 Dade City. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.

Pauline S. “Hey Mah” (Polly) Cane
Cane, Pauline S. “Hey Mah” (Polly), 88, Wesley Chapel, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 due to respiratory failure. She was born Oct. 17, 1919 in New Bedford, Mass. She is survived by her five children: Jeff, Steve, Candace, Lindsey and Christie; six grandchildren. Polly retired from James A. Haley Veterans Hospital after 22 years. She was an avid traveler, gardener and reader. There will be no memorial services. The family will have private services at a later date in Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Clinton Ave., Dade City.
