KING, John H., 60, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Dade City, died Tuesday, March 18th, 2003 at home after a lengthy illness. He moved to this area in 1949 from his native Ohio. A decorated US Army Veteran of Vietnam, he served with the 2/35th Infantry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster for valor. He was a member of the Central Christian Church in St. Petersburg as well as the Red Cross. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by both family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Catherine; his children, Gloria Hoffman and her husband, Will of St. Petersburg, Johnny King of St. Petersburg, Alicia Nix and her husband, Bobby of Fort Rucker, Alabama, David King and his wife, Melissa of 68th Med., Hawaii, Carol Lynn King of St. Petersburg, and Kimberly King and her husband, Vince of Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; four brothers, David King and his wife, Janet of Dade City, Danny King of Tampa, Bill King of Dade City and Joe King of Zephyrhills; a sister, Margaret Flook and her husband, Herb of Land O' Lakes; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Monday, March 24th, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Bedi officiating. The family received friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, March 23rd, 2003 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name should be given to the Hospice chapter of your choice.
Marian Rodamsky
RODAMSKY, Marian, 70, of Dade City, died Monday, March 17th, 2003 at University Community Hospital in Tampa. A native of New Boston, Illinois, she moved to this area in August of 2002 from Tampa. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cypress Point Community Church in Tampa, as well as the Home Extensions Organization in Joy, Illinois.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeana Aaron of Dade City and Joanna Runge of Orion, Illinois; three sons, Tom Feik of New Windsor, Illinois, Mike Feik of Joy, Illinois and Jim Feik of Letts, Iowa; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Today) at the funeral home with Pastor Dean Reule officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Boston, Illinois.
Reverend Truman Wood
Woods, Truman, 84, of Dade City, FL, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 10, 2003 at his home in Dade City. He is survived by his wife: Hazel Woods, Dade City, FL; 2 daughters: Carol Curry, Columbus, GA, Gail Rackley, Knoxville, TN; 1 son: David Woods, Mesa, AZ; 2 step-daughters: Joyce Woody, Kingston, TN, Martha Harmon, Lebanon, TN; 2 step-sons: Roy Ellis, Gray, TN, David Ellis, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was born February 14, 1919 in Lake City, TN, and moved to this area 21 years ago from Knoxville, TN. He was a retired Minister and a member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as Associate Pastor.
Funeral services were held at 8pm Wednesday (today) at Northside Baptist Church. Friends called 2 hours prior to service time, from 6-8pm at Northside Baptist Church. Interment will take place in Tennessee.

CRAIN, Eugene T., "Gene", 46, of Webster, died Monday, March 10th, 2003 at home. A native of Dover Delaware, he moved to this area in 1993 from Arizona. He was self employed in the furniture repair industry.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; five daughters, Valerie Crain and Kathy Crain, both of Dover, Delaware, Nicole Crain of Rocklin, CA, Delaina Crain of Webster, and April Lynch of Webster; a son Robert Rigney of Lakeland; his mother, Phyllis Flores of Tucson, Arizona; a brother, Jeff King of Hartly, Delaware; a sister, Karen King of Felton, Delaware; his maternal grandparents, Doris Jones of Marydel, Delaware and Merrill Jones of Lake Wales, FL; and two granddaughters, Mikayla Allison and Heidi Lynch both of Webster. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Crain, Sr.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12th, 2003. Funeral services wiere held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13th, 2003 with Chaplain Larry Richards officiating.
Robert Glidden
GLIDDEN, Robert H. "Bob", 78, of Dade City, died Sunday, March 9th, 2003 at East Pasco Medical Center. He moved to Dade City in 1969 from his native Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was the owner of Zephyr Home Service and attended the First Baptist Church of Richland.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ruby; a son, Mark Glidden of St. Petersburg; a daughter, Holly Langston of Dade City; three grandchildren, Michael Glidden, and Mindy and Miranda Langston, all of Dade City; six brothers, Ronald of Brandon, Linn of Scotts, MI, Lee of Vicksburg, MI, Thomas of Climax, MI, Wendell of Kalamazoo, MI and Elwyn of Valrico, FL; a sister, Dawn Grosenbach of Clearlake, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Hannar.

Hazel B. Owens
OWENS, Hazel B., 92, of Dade City, died Friday, March 7th, 2003 in Zephyrhills. A native of New Castle, Pennsylvania, she moved to this area in 1999 and was a resident of the Edwinola. She graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA in 1931 and was a math teacher at Ben Franklin High School in New Castle until the early 1940's. She was a homemaker, an avid bridge player and enjoyed both golf and bowling.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. Owens and his wife, Joyce of Dade City; a granddaughter, Lorie O. Larkin and her husband, Jon Sidney, III of Dade City; a great grandson, Jon Sidney Larkin, IV of Dade City; and a sister, Marion Wilson of New Wilmington, PA. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred H. Owens and siblings Ruth Shotts, Arthur Bergland and Barbara Baniel.
Funeral services will be held in New Castle, PA.

Kenneth F. West, Sr., 92, of Dade City, died Tuesday, March 4th, 2003 at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Dade City. The family has elected to have no local services.
Gustave William Mann
Mann, Gustave W., 65, of Dade City, died Tuesday, March 4th, 2003 at home. A native of Hamtramack, Michigan, he moved to this area in 1979 from Algonac, Michigan. A Master Plumber, he was the owner of Algonac Plumbing and Heating and was the owner/operator of Florida Campland from 1979 until his retirement in1983.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Eileen; three daughters, Nancy Dowling of Denison, Texas, Sherry Mann of Dade City and Tammy Mann of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters, Delores Mills and Marie King, both of Ridge Manor; and three grandchildren, Andrea and Marianne Dowling of Denison, and Garrett Watson of Columbia.

Madelyn Lynn Register
Register, Madelyn Lynn, 80, of Lacoochee, FL, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2003 at her home in Lacoochee. She was born April 1, 1922 in Brooker, FL, but lived most of her life in the Lacoochee area. She was a retired Telephone Operator and a Homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: Grady Register, Lacoochee, FL; 1 daughter: Marilyn "Sue" Register, Lacoochee, FL; 1 son: Duane Register, Lacoochee, FL; 1 stepson: Grady Herring, Lacoochee, FL; 1 brother: Roger Lynn, Spring Hill, FL; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 2pm Tuesday at Floral Memory Gardens with Rev. Dwight Tadlock officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice Inc. or the American Cancer Society.
James Edward Worthy
Worthy, James Edward, 72, of Dade City passed away Monday, Oct. 6th, at his home. He was born in Campbellton, FL on December 9, 1930 to George Brenton and Bernice Christie Worthy.
He was predeceased by his parents and his favorite brother-in-law: Chick Harrelson. Jim is survived by 2 sons and their families: Stephan E. Worthy, his wife Jacqueline, and their children: Lindsey, Vanessa, Allyson and Benjamin; and son James B. Worthy of Alta Loma, CA, and his daughter Natalee. Other survivors include his beloved companion and care giver: Grace Burrows of Zephyrhills; his sister Margaret Harrelson of Graceville, FL; 1 nephew, Alfred Smith Solomon, Sneads, FL; and 2 nieces: Judith Solomon Schiros of Chipley, FL, and Christine Harrelson Macmillan of Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
Jim was very active in Dade City sports programs. He coached "peewee" basketball for the city program in the late 1960's and was President of the Little League for several years in the 1970's. He was an avid Pasco Pirate fan and was a past President of their Booster club. He loved all sports, but football was his favorite, and he was a staunch "Gator" fan. Membership in civic organizations include being a charter member of the Dade City Sertoma Club and past President of the Moose Lodge.
After spending 4 years in the Air Force and obtaining the rank of Sargent, he was honorably discharged in 1954 and moved to Dade City where he was employed by Standard Auto Parts as an outside salesman until his retirement. Jim will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10am, Friday, Oct. 10th at Hodges Family Funeral Home with Rev. Eldridge Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Friends may call from 6-8pm Thursday (tomorrow) at Hodges Family Funeral Home.
