Joseph F. Ventrillo
Ventrillo, Joseph F., 87, of Dade City, died January 25, 2001 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Rochester, NY, he moved to this area in 2000 from Jacksonville. He was a retired baker and was Catholic.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Livingston of Dade City; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Virginia Lee Jeffries
Jeffries, Virginia, 80, of Pittsburgh, died Tuesday, January 23rd,2001 at St. Josephs Hospital. A Pittsburgh native, she was a recent visitor to Temple Terrace.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Winton of Temple Terrace; three sons, Andrew, Robert and David, all of Pittsburgh; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Services wiere held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 7:00PM on Friday, January 26th, 2001. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Joe A. Nichols
Nichols, Joe A., 78, of Trilacoochee, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at home. A native of Georgia, he had been a resident of this area for 70 years. He was a retired truck driver and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Clara; two sons, James of Burlington, IL and Gerald of Trilacoochee; a daughter, LaDonnia Nichols of Trilacoochee; tow sisters, Viola Cunningham of Lakeland and Irene Bush of Auburndale; two brothers, Edward of Richland and Samuel of Jonesboro, AR; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2001 at 1PM. The family received friends from 6- 8PM on Thursday, Jan 25, 2001 at the funeral home.
Donald Baker
Donald Baker, of Dade City, died Sunday, January 21st, 2001 at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Thursday, January 25th, 2001 at 1:00 PM.
Betty Humphreys
Betty Humphreys. 71, of Zephyrhills, died Friday, January 19th, 2001 at home. The family has elected to have no local services.
Linda J. Lewellen
Linda J. Lewellen, 61, of Dade City, died Friday, January 19th, 2001 at Tampa General Hospital. She was a case machine operator for Lykes-Pasco and was Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Day and Karen Roach, both of Dade City; two sons, John of Zephyrhills and Kent of Dade City; a brother, Reidus Johnson of Crookston, MN; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, Jan. 22, 2001 at the funeral home.
William Roscoe
William Roscoe, 79, of Traveler's Rest, died Friday, January 19th, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco in Dade City. He was a native of Detroit and was a winter resident of Traveler's Rest since 1981 coming from Southfield, MI. He was a retired Tool and Die Designer for Ford Motor Company and was President of the Zephyrhills Deaf Club.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Annie; a son, Ralph Roscoe of Rochester Hills, MI; a daughter, Rita Frew of Tampa; three grandchildren, Joe Roscoe of Royal Oak, MI, Billy Frew of Ferndale, MI and Rachel Westbrook of Redford, MI; and three great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 21st, 2001 at Traveler's Rest Citrus Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of Pasco, 13933 17th Street Dade City, FL 33525.
Marvin Albert Emerson
Emerson, Marvin E., 80, of Wesley Chapel, died Sunday, January 14, 2001 at home. A native of Poplar Bluff, MO he moved to this area in 1986 from Westland, MI. He was a retired machinist for Ford Motor Company and was a member of Victorious Life Church in Wesley Chapel.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen; two daughters, Rosa Shmidt of Clearwater and Judith Bozeman of Wesley Chapel; two sons, Marvin Emerson, Jr. of Stockbridge, MI and Larry Emerson of Pickney, MI; two sisters, Emogene Beckham of Kissimmee and Virginia Brown of Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 18th, 2001 at Victorious Life Church with Pastors Ed Russo and Larry Bozeman officiating. Burial followed at Florida National Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Charles C. Miller, Sr.
Charles C. Miller, Sr., 93, of Port Richey, died Wednesday, January 10th, 2001 at North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey. A native of Chicago, IL, he was a retired superintendent of the Hawthorne Racetrack in Illinois and moved to this area in 1993. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was Methodist.
Survivors include two sons, Charles C. Miller, Jr., of Dade City and Richard A. Miller of Riverside, CA; and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Chicago, IL on Monday, January 15th, 2001.
