CAPPARELLI, Orlando, "Cappy", 86, of Dade City, died Thursday, April 29th, 2004 at home. He moved to Dade City in 1943 from his native Chicago. He was a member of the Army Air Corps during WWII and served with the 10th Fighter Squadron in the European Theater. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 33 years and retired in 1979. He was the first city carrier in Dade City and later moved to a rural route. He was the co-owner of Hilltop Service Station and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Joe.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Frances; two sons, Joe Capparelli and his wife Mary Lee of Dade City and Mike Capparelli and his wife, Mary of Tampa; a daughter, Kay Sandy and her husband, Bill of Dade City; twelve grandchildren, Erin Capparelli, Parker Capparelli, Kaylee Capparelli, Brian Capparelli, Adam Capparelli, Melissa Holtzhower, Barbie Moore, Cristina Ordaz, Luis Ordaz, Mary Ann Sandy, Amy Jo Sandy, and Noah Sandy; a great grandchild, Blake Holtzhower; and a niece, Michele Lally.
The family received friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday (Today) April 30, 2004. There will be a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Patrick Rebel as celebrant. Burial followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in St. Joe.

Christine Durant
DURANT, Christine, 83, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Monday, August 2, 2004 under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City. She was born June 16, 1921 in Great Galls, MT, to William Zemaitis and Alice Martinatis Zemaitis. She moved to Florida in 1987 from Buffalo, NY. She was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband William Durant. Interment will take place at the Elmlawn Cemetery in Kenmore, NY.
Mary Hobbs
HOBBS, Mary, 65, of Shelbyville, TN, died Monday, August 2, 2004 at her daughter's home in Dade City. A retired Nurse's Aide, she was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Survivors include three daughters, Tanya Mann of Zirconia, NC, Rhonda Curabba of Dade City and Terrie Hobbs of Oldsmar; two sons, Thomas Hobbs of Houston, TX and Bryan "Toby" Hobbs of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
James Henry Sullivan Jr.
SULLIVAN, James Henry Jr., 69, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004 at his home in Zephyrhills. He was born December 4, 1934 in Milford, NH, to James Henry Sullivan Sr. & Ethel Wright Sullivan. He was a career Navy Veteran, retiring in 1970. He moved to Zephyrhills where he owned and operated Sullivan Auto Sales for many years.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Karen Sak, Pinole, CA, Kathleen Alley, Bradenton, FL; 2 sisters: Mary Sullivan, Wells, ME, Barbara Brookings, Leominster, MA; his niece: Tracy Brookings, Townsend, MA; his nephew: Rick Brookings, Townsend, MA; and 4 grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Johns Catholic Church in Townsend, MA, at a later date.
Donna Dahlberg
DAHLBERG, Donna M., 75, of Zephyrhills, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa. A native of Flint, Michigan, she moved to this area in 1980. She was previously employed as an LPN in both Flint and Fort Lauderdale, lovingly caring for elderly patients. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She taught everyone about God and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include four sons, David Dahlberg, Daniel Dahlberg (Lorraine), Donald Dahlberg (Cheryl), and Steven Dahlberg (Wendy); her mother, Olive Keyes; eight grandchildren, Eric (Lisa), Jason, Chris, Tim, Sarah, Craig, Katie and Lindsey; and three great grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla and Ryan.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakside Cemetery with Pastor Scott Naill officiating.
Kathleen Marie Little
LITTLE, Kathleen Marie, 60, of San Antonio, FL, passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City. She was born June 15, 1944 in Butler, PA, and moved to this area 19 years ago from Southern New Jersey. She had worked for the Crest Restaurant in Dade City and then for the San Antonio Restaurant.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Little, San Antonio, FL; 4 step-sons: Bob Little III, Thomas Little, John Little, and Dan Little, all of Southern New Jersey; 5 grandaughters and 1 grandson.
Funeral services were held 10am Monday, August 2, 2004 at the Chapel Hill Gardens Mausoleum in Dade City with Father Art Funk as celebrant. Burial followed at Floral Memory Gardens. Flowers will be gratefully accepted, but those that wish may make donations in her memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 7066 Ft. King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
Aiden Wallace Heaney
HEANEY, Aiden Wallace, infant son of Michael and Staci Heaney of Montverde, died Monday, July 26, 2004 at Florida Hospital in Orlando.
Survivors also include five siblings, Tiffany, Dylan, Garrett, Madison & Ella, all of Montverde; paternal grandmother, Joy Vandermine of Dade City; paternal grandfather, Thomas Heaney of Jacksonville; maternal grandparents, Wallace and Barbara Reeves of Zephyrhills.
Graveside funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2004 at St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery in San Antonio.
Velma Herring
HERRING, Velma, 80, of Wesley Chapel, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. She was a retired bus driver and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Tallahassee.
Survivors include a son, Alan Herring and his wife, Cheryl of Wesley Chapel; two grandsons, Jack and Jeffrey; two sisters, Ira Bell Scott and Bobbi Gillis of De Funiak Springs; a brother, Kendall Murphy of Port St. Joe; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church on July 31, 2004.
Johnie Ray Davis
Johnie R. Davis, 70, of Zephyrhills, FL, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was the son of the late James Obie Davis and Linnie Bee Davis. Born in Rogersville, Alabama, he moved to Florida in 1984 from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include two brothers, Morris Davis of Rome City, Indiana and Jerry Davis of Tampa, FL; one sister, Louise Evans of Oneonta, Alabama.
Burial, with full military honors, was held at Florida National Cemetery 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2004. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
Maurice W. Beall, Sr.
BEALL, Maurice W., 84, of Dade City, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at home. A native of Texas, in his early childhood he moved to Lakeland and to Dade City in the early 1950's. He was a combat medic in the US Army during WWII serving in the European Theatre. He retired after 38 years of employment as a shift supervisor for Lykes-Pasco and attended Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Syble; a daughter, Catherine Southern of Dade City; a son, Maurice Beall, Jr. of San Antonio; four brothers, Tom Beall of Tallahassee, Johnnie Beall of Kentucky, and Junior Beall and Milton Beall, both of Lakeland; three sisters, Dolly McMullen, Pansy Raulerson and Janette Gilbert, all of Lakeland; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Grady Beall and by a sister, Vera Thompson.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Steve Andrews officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial followed at Floral Memory Gardens.
