Hilda June Register
Register, Hilda June, 71, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2004, at her home, under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She was born June 5, 1933 in Wrightsville, GA, to Gene R. Hartley and Azalee Beckham Hartley. She worked for the Kash n Karry Grocery Store for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Sandra & Randy Long, Tallahassee, FL, Paula & Fred Lohden, St. Petersburg, FL, Susan & Jerry Arnold, Dade City, FL; 1 brother: J.R. & Anne Hartley, Bradenton, FL; 2 sisters: Melba Kreps, Port Saint Lucy, FL, Carolyn & Andy Jackson, Bradenton, FL; 5 grandchildren: Kourtney Long, Justin Lohden, Jared Lohden, Nicholas Arnold, Jason Arnold; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Kelli Long and Sam Lohden.
Funeral services were held 3pm Saturday at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City with Rev. Eldridge Parrish, Rev. Stephen Walding, and Rev. Ron McCaskill officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time, from 2-3pm, Saturday.

Constance Clanahan
CLANAHAN, Constance, 72, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 23, 1932 and worked as a surgical nurse at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother and will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her pets. She leaves behind a family that will always cherish her memories.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dennis; four children, Dennis of Washington, DC, Daniel of Dade City, Doane of Orlando and Roberta of Daytona Beach; a brother, Ed of Rochester, NY; and six grandchildren.
She will be interred in Detroit, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay,3607 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607.
William A. Fisher
FISHER, William, 75, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City. A native of Camden, NJ, he moved to this area in 1984. He was a Korean War Veteran of the US Army and was employed as a Pressman for a printing company.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, William A. Fisher of Ridge Manor, Robert E. Fisher of Dade City and Joseph C. Fisher of Ridge Manor; a stepson, Edward Eugene Miller of Ridge Manor; one sister, Gladys Klausner, Gloucester City, NJ; and two grandsons.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 7 till 9pm, September 25, 2004. Burial will be in Woodbury Memorial Park in West Depford, NJ.
Charlie Brooks
BROOKS, Charlie, 63, of Dade City, died Sunday, September 20, 2004 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Mississippi, he moved to this area in 1966. He was employed by the City of Dade City since 1974.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie McKinnie of St. Petersburg; three stepchildren, Bonita Southward of St. Petersburg, and Charles McKinnie and James Timothy McKinnie, both of Dade City; three brothers, Rev. Arthur Brooks and his wife, Annie of Conyers, GA, Edward Brooks and his wife, Mildred of Thornton, CO and Clarence "Bud" Brooks of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Thelma Brooks of Calumet City, IL Mildred Brooks of Chicago, IL and Dorothy Brooks of San Francisco, CA; one grandchild; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by three siblings, Lesteen Brooks Jennings, Murteen Brooks and Jimmy Brooks.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2004 with Rev. Arthur Brooks officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m., September 24, 2004. Burial will at Indian Pond Cemetery Cemetery.
Evelyn Gilford Rickett
RICKETT, Evelyn Gilford, 84, of Dade City, died Monday, September 20, 2004 under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Survivors include two brothers, Harold S. Gilford of Dade City and Harry Gilford of Trilby; a sister, Barbara Messer and her husband, Darrell of Dade City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. at Dade City Cemetery on Thursday, September 23, 2004 with Pastor Brad Stevens officiating. The family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2004.
Dr. Harry James Trowbridge
Trowbridge, Dr. Harry James, Doctor of Chiropractics, died Sunday, 19th, September 2004, at the age of 81, in Tampa, under the care of LifePath Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born May 4, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA, to Harry William Trowbridge and Alta Mercy Trowbridge. He spent his youth in Hollister, CA. During World War II, he served in the US Army in India (CBI). He practiced chiropractics in Washington and Florida, establishing a private practice in Dade City, Florida. He was known to his close friends as "Doc".
He is survived by his wife: Dianne Steele Trowbridge, Dade City, FL; 5 children: Richard Tobias Trowbridge, Orem, UT, Thomas Randall Trowbridge, Dade City, FL, Jack Kenneth Trowbridge, Fort Polk, LA, Nola Joyce Rutter, Los Angeles, CA, Julie Dee Grow, Salt Lake City, UT; their mother: Virginia Cox Liter, Salt Lake City, UT; 1 brother: John Paul "Jack" Trowbridge, Hollister, CA; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 10am Friday, September 24, 2004 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
Lorraine Elizabeth Salsbury
SALSBURY, Lorraine E., 74, of Dade City, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at home. She moved to this area in 2002 from her native Wisconsin. She retired from J.C. Penney's in 1992.
Survivors include her three children, Wayne Salsbury of Zephyrhills, Darlene Salsbury of Dunnellon and David Salsbury of Allentown, PA; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert and by a son, Dale.
Funeral services were held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a later date.
Cherie Anne Savoie
Savoie, Cheryl Ann, 54, of Dade City, died of long standing health difficulties Wednesday, September 15, 2004.
Ms. Savoie and her companion, Jonathan Gidden of Dade City, had recently relocated to Dade City from Tampa. Born in Wichita, Kansas, she graduated from Teacher's State College in Pittsburgh, Kansas and resided for the middle years of her life in the Denver, Colorado area, before moving to Florida to be closer to her daughters. Previously a flight attendant with United Airlines, "Cherie" was known for her ease with people, her artistic bent and her determined tenacity in surviving cancer and liver disease. "Even in her illness, her eyes beamed and she took care to select just the right hair piece to coordinate with her outfit," her brother Larry remarked.
Ms. Savoie is also survived by her daughters Cherilyn Michelle Rouzer of Melbourne Beach, Florida and Alexandra Ann Savoie of Cocoa Beach, Florida, and her brothers James King of Muskego, Wisconsin and Lawrence King of Golden, Colorado.
A memorial service was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2004 at the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hernando Pasco Hospice, 7066 Fort King Road, in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Cullie Rager Mobley
Mobley, Cullie Rager, 71, of Land O'Lakes, FL, passed away Monday, September 13, 2004 at his home. He was born April 22, 1933 in Tampa, FL, to William J. Mobley and Emma Culley Mobley. He was a retired Phone Repairman and a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by his daughter: Brenda Mobley, and her wife: Dana Foret, both of Plant City, FL; and their children: Ashley & Jered Foret.
A memorial service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 1304 Cason Road, in Plant City, with Rev. Barry Michael Foret officiating. Flowers will be gratefully accepted, or those that wish may make donations in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131 Fairfax, VA 22038.
