Donald L. McBath, D.O., 65, beloved Physician and Friend, of Dade City, died January 2nd, 2001 at home. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ruth Southerland McBath; two sons, Donald L. McBath, J.D. of Tampa and Daniel P. McBath, D.O. of Dade City; a daughter, Donna Ruth Bassett of Zephyrhills; nine grandchildren, Donald L. McBath III, Stephanie R. McBath, Dominique R. McBath and Hutch McBath, all of Tampa, Jeremy Bassett and Jonathan Bassett, both of Zephyrhills, Brandon McBath, Brooke McBath and Brittney McBath, all of Dade City; and his mother, Phyllis McBath, who has been in the service of the Lord for the last 38 years at Christ the King Monastery in Delray Beach, Florida and has been known as Sister Mary Joseph; three aunts, Estelle Nied of Chicago, Jayne Zappen of California and Eugenia Dembinski of Wisconsin; and two brother-in-laws, Billy Southerland of Gainesville and Richard Southerland of Freeport, Florida.
Dr. McBath is a native of Chicago, IL and moved to Dade City in 1970 from Kansas City where he completed his training in Osteopathic Medicine. He was a member and past President of the Dade City Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member and Past President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and was also a member of the American Osteopathic Association and was a National Convention Program Chairman and a member of the House of Delegates of this organization. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and was President of this organization in 1991-92. He was also a member and National Convention Committee Member and House of Delegates Member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is listed in Who’s Who in The World, In America, In Medicine & Healthcare, In Science and Engineering and In The South and Southwest. He was on the Board of Trustees at St. Leo University, a Member of the East Pasco Medical Center Foundation and was on the Board of Directors in 1998 and Chairman in 1993-84. He was the Pasco High School Team Physician for 25 years and served as Grand Marshall in 1987 and was on the Advisory Council from 1977-1981. He was also a member of the First Union National Bank of Florida Advisory Board as well as the East Pasco Medical Center Hospital and was a Pasco County Fair Judge from 1985-1994. His Honors include the Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Florida in 1957, Diplomat of the National Board of Examiners For Osteopathic Physicians in 1970, Outstanding Contribution Award, H.R.S in 1970, General Practitioner of the Year for the American College of Osteopathic Physicians 1990-91, Certified Correctional Heath Professional 1991, Special Services award for the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administration and a Life Time Achievement Award from the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 5th, 2001. The family received friends from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday, January 4th, 2000 at the Church with a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM. Pallbearers will include Wayne Cobb, Tom Hines, Hjalma Johnson, George Carver, Sam Bala, Marcelino Oliva, Lowell Harris, and John McTaggart. Honorary pallbearers include Tom Clark, Glen Greenfelder, K.T. Johns, Joe DeLaTorre, Bill Tingley and Al Kiefer. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, for those who chose, to make contributions to the Rotary Foundation.

Bernice Smith, 69, of Dade City, died Thursday, April 5th, 2001 at Pasco Regional Hospital. Arrangements are pending.
Clara "Bobbi" Kelly
Kelly, Clara "Bobbi", 83, of Dade City, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco in Dade City. A native of Jeffersonville, Indiana, she moved to Dade City in 1997 from Sacramento, CA and was a protestant.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Morris of Dade City; an uncle, Ralph B. Sage of Richmond, Virginia; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 9th, 2001 at Williams Cemetery with Father Lewis Tanno officiating.
Robert E. Fennell
Fennell, Robert E., 69, of Elberta, AL, formerly of Dade City, died
April 2, 2001 in New Orleans. A native of San Antonio, he was a retired salesman in the construction industry.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Robin Fennell of Elberta and Bonita Brisco of Dade City; a brother, Guss Fennell of Dade City; two sisters, Beverly Lambert of Spring Hill and Marie Galluccio of Palm Coast, FL; and four grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 10th, 2001 with Chaplain John Heufel, Jr. officiating.
Kenneth J. Renfro
Renfro, Kenneth J., 82, of Dade City, died Sunday, April 1, 2001 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. He was a winter visitor from Michigan and was a retired welder.
Survivors include his wife, Arlonne; a son, Charles of Parma, MI; a daughter, Margaret Renfro of Quincy, MI; a daughter-in-law, Dorene Renfro of Tekonsak, MI; a brother, Dale Rentfrow and a sister, Virginia Rentfrow, both of Leslie, MI; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in Michigan on Thursday, April 5th, 2001 at Tidd-Williams Funeral Home in Homer.
Luis Antonio Rosales
Rosales, Luis Antonio, 27, of Dade City, died Friday, March 30, 2001 in Dade City. Survivors include his companion, Juanita Alvarez of Dade City; a son, Luis Jr. of Dade City; his father, Marcial Rosales of Jalisco, Mexico; a brother, Gerardo Rosales of California; and a sister, Patricia Rosales of Jalisco. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
Theresa Mary Bednar
Bednar, Theresa, 59, of Wesley Chapel, died Saturday, March 24, 2001 at Pasco Reginal Medical Center. She was a native of Worcester, Mass. and moved here in 1972 from Buffalo, New York. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio. She was co-owner of Bednar Relocation and A- Pasco Moving and Storage.
Survivors include, Husband, Joseph Bednar Jr., two sons, Keith Bednar of Lutz, Eric Bednar of Wesley Chapel, three daughters, Marcy Bednar of E. Greenwich, Rhode Island, Sheila Lowe of Wesley Chapel, Charlotte Bednar Schwartz, of Land O Lakes, a sister, Dorothy DeLisle of Charlton, Mass. Three brothers, Leo Beaudreau of Southbridge, Mass. Albert Cadrette, of Southbridge, Mass. and Edward Cadarette of Hollywood, FL, and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 28th, 2001 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio. The family received friends at the church on Tuesday night from 5-9:00 PM Burial was at Oakside Cemetery in Zephyrhills.
Don T. LaQuire
Don LaQuire, 56, of Dade City, died Friday, March 16th, 2001 at James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital. Born in Panama Canal Zone, he moved to Dade City in 1965 from Pinellas Park. He was a self employed home builder and was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. A US Navy Veteran of Vietnam, he was a member and Past Worshipful Master of Trilby Masonic Lodge # 141, as well as the Shriner's Egypt Temple and was a Past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star Trilby Post #89.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Denise LaQuire of Dade City; a son, David LaQuire of Dade City; three brothers, Timm of Dade City, Wade of San Diego, CA and Kris of Tampa; two sisters Lori LaQuire of Houston, TX and Doris LaQuire of Melbourne, FL; and a grandson, Sean LaQuire of Dade City.
Funeral Services were held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 10:30 AM with Father Louis Tanno officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Fund.

Franklin McCarty, 67, of Zephyrhills, died Friday, March 16th, 2001 at East Pasco Medical Center. The family has elected to have no local services.
