Carl Ray House
HOUSE, Carl Ray, 68, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Kindred Central Hospital in Tampa. He was born January 3, 1937 in Searles, AL, to Baringman House and Annie Ruth Sharp House. He moved to the Zephyrhills area 16 years ago from Tuscaloosa, AL.
He is survived by his wife: Jeana D. house, Zephyrhills, FL; 4 daughters: Glena Sue Porter, Zephyrhills, FL, Janice Ann Williams, Tuscaloosa, AL, Reba Kay Williams, Tuscaloosa, AL, Elaine House, North Port, AL; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Interment services were held 2pm Monday, April 18, 2005 at Oakside Cemetery in Zephyrhills, FL.
Margaret Green
GREEN, Margaret of Lakeland Florida, died Saturday April 16th, 2005 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. she moved to Lakeland 55 years ago, coming from Blakeley Georgia and was a homemaker. A loving mother, and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Latonya Ann Lagana, and Sabrina Nichole Berry both of Lakeland, Florida; 2 Grandchildren, Dillon Austin, and Dakota Lee Lagana of Lakeland; 3 sisters; Cybil Meyers, Betty Jean Widner, and Lil Ruth Berry of Blakely Georgia; she is also survived by a companion Dennis Wayne Green of Lakeland, Florida. she will be missed by long time friend; Dwight Olson, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held at the Chapel Hill Gardens on Friday, April 22nd at 10am with Reverend Jeff Pennyson officiating..
Joyce Ann Reilly
REILLY, Joyce, 44, of Dade City, died Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2005 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She moved to this area in 1978 from her native Ohio, and was a waitress at ABC Pizza in Dade City. A loving wife, mother, and friend, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband Tom; a son, Jacob Peacock of Webster; two brothers, Mark Padgett of Zephyrhills and Todd Padgett of Brooksville; two sisters, Edna Bolenger of Grand Rapids, MI and Sandra Brooks of Zephyrhills; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to your favorite charity. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care provided by Dr. Hubaykah and the staff of Gulfside Regional Hospice.
Mary Waller
WALLER, Mary, 98, died Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Heritage Park Nursing Care Center in Dade City. She is survived by a cousin, Mary Gillespie of Winter Haven. Funeral services are private.
Jonathan "Rook" Oliver
OLIVER, Jonathan "Rook", 40, of Lacoochee, died Friday, April 15, 2005 at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Tampa and raised in Lacoochee, he was a 1982 graduate of Pasco High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lacoochee. He was an avid hunter\fisherman and loved baseball, coaching teams for the Dade City Little League for several years. He was a long time employee for Winn Dixie as was an assistant manager for a local store. He was currently employed by Rinker Materials.
Survivors include two children, Joshua Oliver and Tabitha Oliver, both of Lacoochee; his mother, Clara Oliver of Lacoochee; three brothers, Chip Oliver of Lacoochee, Berryan Oliver, Jr., of Orlando and Troy Oliver of Spring Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2005 at the funeral home. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee with Pastors Eldridge Parrish and Marvin Strickland officiating. Burial follow at Richland Cemetery.
Jordan C. Holt
HOLT, Jordan C., infant son of Nicholas Holt and Danielle Shaw, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at East Pasco Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents, both of Zephyrhills; a sister, Kira Holt of Zephyrhills; his maternal grandparents, Leta Lurkins of Sebring, FL and Jim Lurkins of Hollywood, FL; his paternal grandparents, Kevin Holt of Indiana and Gale Osterman and her husband, Paul of Zephyrhills and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Zephyr Park Pavilion. The family requests casual wear for all attending guests.
Douglas M. Drennan
Drennan, Douglas M., a retired jockey, mutual clerk and a corporal in the U.S. Army during WW II, died Friday, April 8, 2005 in Zephyrhills. He was 79 years old. He was born March 14, 1926 in Royal Oak, MI, and later resided in Lutz, FL. An avid horseman at a young age, he enjoyed every aspect of thoroughbred racing, from ownership and training to terminal operating and mutual clerk. He was the son of the late James Drennan and Sarah Sloan Drennan, and brother of the late Jim, Larry, and Allan Drennan.
He is survived by his niece: Terri Drennan Price ; his nephew: Michael L. Drennan; and his sister-in-law: Virginia Parsons Drennan.
A memorial service was held 11am, Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Hodges Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Zephyrhills.
Robert L. Miller
MILLER, Robert L., 84, of Dade City, a winter visitor from Indiana, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Pasco Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include a son, Scott Miller of Concord, California; a daughter, Roberta Turnage and her husband, Robert, of South Bend, Indiana; and two grandsons, Justin and Jason Turnage.
A Memorial Mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawawa, IN at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2005.
Justin Michael Garland "Lerch"
GARLAND, Justin Michael “Lerch”, 25, of Plant City, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005 in Gainesville. He was born July 15, 1979 in Milwaukee, WI, to Glen Eugene Garland and Lori Marie Heine and moved to Plant City 25 years ago from Wisconsin.
He is survived by his mother: Lori Heine & Scott, Plant City, FL; 2 sisters: Kymberly Simms & Timmy, Zephyrhills, FL, Megan Garland & Troy, Plant City, FL; 2 brothers: Gregory Richardson, Dade City, FL, Jarrett Kinsey, Plant City, FL; his father: Glen Garland, Massachusetts; his grandmother Maggie; his grandparents: Maynard & Phyllis Garland; 8 uncles, 4 aunts, and many nieces, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Heine; 1 aunt; and 1 uncle.
Funeral services were held 2pm Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Friends called one hour prior to service time, from 1-2pm on Sunday. Burial followed at Floral Memory Gardens.
Georgia Isabelle Handy Fantone
FANTONE, Georgia Isabelle Handy, 86, of Dade City, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Royal Oak Nursing Care Center in Dade City.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: John & Linda Fantone; 3 grandsons: Marc Fantone and his wife Jennifer, Jeffrey Fantone, and Mathew Skalski; great granddaughter: Lauren Isabelle Fantone; great grandson: Ryan Patrick Fantone; 2 sisters: Mary Christensen and Ann Byrd; brother: Robert Handy; and devoted friends: Gene Rorabaugh, Carole Cope, and Peggy Semans. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her as “Aunt Izzy”.
She was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1975 when she retired from Civil Service employment. A funeral mass and burial service will be held in the Washington, D.C. area on Friday, April 15, 2005.
