Sabino Hernandez-Cruz
HERNANDEZ-CRUZ, Sabino, 75, of Dade City, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A native of Vera Cruz, Mexico, he was a long time resident of this area. He was a retired laborer in the construction industry. Survivors include a brother, Daniel Hernandez-Cruz of Dade City; a nephew, Armando Hernandez of Dade City; a niece Mary Elizabeth Hernandez of Dade City; and three grandnieces and nephews, Esther Hernandez, Isaiah Hernandez and Angie Hernandez, all of Dade City. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dionesio Cezares officiating. Burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery.

Audrey Martin Hall
Hall, Audrey Martin, 79 of Ridge Manor, passed away the afternoon of March 20, 2006. She was born in Harrison County, KY on September 5, 1926 and lived most of her life in Kentucky, moving to Ridge Manor, Florida Sept. 5, 1991. After graduating from High School, she attended Cosmetology School in Cincinnati, OH and purchased her first beauty shop before 20 years of age. She owned several beauty shops through her career, and then managed other shops. She was of the Christian faith all her life and joined All Faiths United Church of Christ, Ridge Manor after moving to Florida. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Melvin Hall of Ridge Manor; son, Stephen Hall and daughter, Susan Robinson, both of Ridge Manor and daughter Sharon Welcher and granddaughter, Tracy Briggs of Louisville, KY; grandson Bobby Lee Toner granddaughter, Dawn Nichole Toner and great grandson, Greg Newman of St. Cloud, Florida; granddaughter, Ashley Martin Brown of Paris, KY; a sister Laura Jane Bush of Cynthiana, KY and a brother, Noel D. Martin of Lexington, KY. Services and entombment were held private at Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Dade City. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the All Faiths United Church of Christ, Ridge Manor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Hernando Pasco Hospice appreciated.

Jean H. Barnes
BARNES, Jean H., 74, of Dade City, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Gulfside Regional Hospice. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she was a long time resident of Dade City. She was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church and was a major contributor to St. Jude’s Children’s. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two daughters, Len Speer of Dade City and Susan Brown of Darby; a son, Rick Wilkerson of Dade City; three grandchildren, Alice Heath of Dade City, Sharon Johnson and John Kelly, Jr., both of Manistee, Michigan; and her great grandchildren, Levi Johnson and Jade Johnson, both of Manistee, Collin Reardon of Conners, Georgia, Madison Kelly and J.D. Kelly, both of Monticello, and Casey Heath and Destiny Heath, both of Wesley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice, 6117 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34653.

Betty Mae Morvatz
Morvatz, Betty Mae, 78, of Dade City, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Heritage Park Nursing Care Center in Dade City. A native of Columbus, Ohio, she moved to this area in 1993 for heath reasons. She was adopted at the age of 6 months and her Dad and Mother were the most wonderful parents a child could ever dream of having. She married her husband, Elmer, on October 18, 1958. She loved to crochet for Hernando-Pasco Hospice and volunteered for over 1000 hours since 1995. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Elmer; and a son, Vince Morvatz of Akron, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.

Rev. John F. Robinett
Robinett, Rev. John F., 98, of Dade City, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Royal Oak Nursing Center in Dade City. He was born January 7, 1908 in St. Clair, MO, to John Floyd Robinett and Matilda Hawkins. He moved to this area in 1950 from Big Stone Gap, VA, and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. He worked as a farmer in agriculture community and in the moving and relocating business. He worked for several years at Lykes Pasco Packing Company and also with the Pasco County Fair Association. He is survived by 4 children: Doris Nix, Coy Robinette, Troy Robinette, and Paul Robinette, all of Dade City, FL; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son: Doyle E. Robinette. Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel with Rev. Wade Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Karen Jackson
Jackson, Karen, 64, of Dade City, FL, passed away Friday evening, March 17, 2006, in Dade City under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She was born December 5, 1941 in Kingman, KS, to William Van Morris and Josephine McRae. She moved to this area 44 years ago and worked as a Deli Manager. She is survived by her husband: Buford Jackson, Dade City, FL; 4 children: Brian & Angie Jackson, Naples, FL, Torino & Jay Parson, Dade City, FL, Sherrie & Tom Large, Lancing, MI, Jeff & Heather Gilbert, Lancing, MI; 3 sisters: Ann Smith, Judy Flickner, Margaret Edwards, all of Kingman, KS; numerous nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11am, Monday, March 20, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel. Burial will follow at Withlacoochee Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7pm Sunday (today) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice 37445 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525.

James Ronnie Walker
Walker, James Ronnie, 59, of Dade City, FL, passed away Friday evening, March 17, 2006 in Dade City under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. He was born May 31, 1946 in Groveland, FL, to Jesse James Walker and Opal Cauley, and lived most of his life in the Dade City area. He was a Master Electrician and a member of the IBEW local #606 in Orlando. He is survived by his wife: Gwen Walker, Dade City, FL; his children: Steven & Cecilia Walker, Trilby, FL, Denise & Matt Green, Trilby, FL, Jennifer Roberts & Scott Davis, Ocala, FL, Scotty Walker & Jessica Reinsmith, Trilby, FL; their mother: Cleo Walker, Dade City, FL; daughters: Sonja McElreath and Deborah Scarborough, both of Zephyrhills, FL; brother: Mike & Roz Carr, Dade City, FL; sisters: Joyce & Wilbur Morgan, Seminole, FL, June & Junior Cunningham, Dade City, FL, Shirley & Bruce Hattaway, Dade City, FL; mother & father-in-law: Ruth & Henry Ervin, Zephyrhills, FL; 10 grandchildren: Justin Green, Joshua Green, Jessica Green, Timothy Rogers, Brandon Roberts, Kevin Roberts, Sean Walker, Ciara Walker, Gauge Walker AKA Little Bit, Quyntin Walker; and 2 great grandchildren: Dominic Rogers and Josh Herztic. Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel with Rev. Dewey D. Huffstutler officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Geraldine Ann Moreau
Moreau, Geraldine Ann, 66, of Dade City, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 8, 1939 in Biddeford, ME, to Maynard Welch and Annie Shuffleburg. She worked for several years at General Electric in Somersworth, NH, assembling meters. Since moving to this area in 1989 she enjoyed creating her many craft projects. She is survived by 3 children: Andrea Beausoleil, Dade City, FL, Richard Moreau, Dover, NH, Michael Henderson, Lewiston, ME; 6 siblings: Eleanor Gagne, Biddeford, ME, Sherman Thompson, Inverness, FL, Richard Thompson, Ridge Manor, FL, Herbert Welch, Dade City, FL, Christine Camire, Dade City, FL, Wally Thompson, Portland, ME; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert C. Moreau; 1 son: David Moreau; 3 brothers: Maynard Welch Jr., Harold Welch, and Henry “Butch” Welch. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37445 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525.

Roger G. Burt
Burt, Roger G., 83, Grand Horizons in Zephyrhills, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006. He was born October 14, 1922 in Springfield, Massachusetts son of Gordon Burt and Marion Naylor Burt. He was formerly of Bernardston, MA and moved to Florida in 1991. He was a retired School Administrator. Roger served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 59 years, Sylvia, a daughter, Ana McClellan, Halley, MA, a granddaughter, Kaia Sage McClellan, a brother, Edmond (Nancy) Burt, Montague, MA and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by a son, Rodney Owen Burt. A private service will be held at a later date.

Viola Marie Morris
Viola Marie Morris was born on July 9, 1916 to Sherman and Mable Streeter in Ogemaw County, Michigan. She married Nicholas Morris on August 11 1941 in Flint, Mi. Her children are Charlotte Morris, of East Lansing MI, Viola (George) Holsworth, of Waterford MI, Elizabeth (Duane) Benson of Niles MI, Albert (Kathy) Morris of Zephyrhills FL, Charles (Carla) Morris of Woodstock IL, Christopher (Karen) Morris of Duluth GA. Her grandchildren are George Holsworth III, Gail Holsworth Cook, Joyce Holsworth Grimes, Curtis Kenney-Benson, Michael Benson, Jean Benson Ziesmer, Kimberly Morris Kennedy, Kristine Morris Gavin, Katherine Morris, Kevin Morris, MaryAlice Morris Harris, James Morris, Vaun Morris, Nicholas Morris, Erin Morris. Great Grandchildren are Ashley Grimes, Kyle Grimes, Olivia Cook, Matthew Cook, Delbert Holsworth, Morgan Holsworth, Nathan Morris, McKenzie Morris, Ryan Kennedy, Spencer Kenney-Benson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harold Streeter, and her husband. She was a faithful member of the Pontiac First Free Methodist Church, in Pontiac MI and attended church regularly since her retirement at the Niles Free Methodist Church in Niles MI or at the Light and Life Free Methodist Church in Lakeland FL. She passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus from Lakeland FL on March 14, 2006 surrounded by her children. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Light & Life Free Methodist Church In Lakeland. A service will follow at 2:00 PM.

Elsie Marie Folk
Folk, Elsie Marie, 74, San Antonio, Florida, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at her residence. She was born October 1, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA. She moved here five years ago from Huntingdon Valley, Pa. She worked at GMP, Trevose, Pa. Elsie was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in PA. She was a loving wife, mother, nana and dear friend. Elsie is survived by her loving family including three daughters; Dale Moelter, Huntingdon Valley PA, Karen (Richard) Brown, Skaneateles, NY and Robin (Ted) Boyd, Wesley Chapel, FL. and seven grandchildren, Jason and Kevin Boyd, Donna, Krista, and Danielle Moelter, and Richard and Katherine Brown. She is preceded by her husband of 46 years, Daniel H. Folk, Jr. She will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37441 Clinton Ave., Dade City, Florida 33525. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 6:30 PM at Harvester Methodist Church in Land O Lakes. A Memorial Service will also be held in Pennsylvania at 10:00 AM at the Gloria Dei Church on March 24, 2006.
