Verle Lloyd Johnson
Verle Johnson, 22, of Dade City, died Tuesday, May 29th, 2001. He was a Pasco County Sheriff's Deputy and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the National Falconers Association and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his parents, Verle and Judy Johnson of Dade City and a daughter, Kayla and her mother Brandy Carlyle, both of Dade City.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 3rd, 2001 at the Donald McBath Activity Center at Pasco High School (Gymnasium). Burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. both days. There will be a reception held at the Knights of Columbus in San Antonio, FL immediately following interment.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Kayla Johnson Scholarship Fund, administered by the Bank of America in Dade City.
Franklin Woolsey
Franklin Woolsey, 80, of Zephyrhills, died Sunday, May 27th, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House in Dade City. A native of Swink, he moved to this area in in 1966 from Virginia. He was a retired sheet metal welder, a US Army Veteran of WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Jackson of Dade City; two brothers, Jerry Woolsey of Valiant, OK and Jeff Woolsey of Oklahoma City; and five sisters, Viola Davis of Swink, OK, Maxine Herring and Earlene Woolsey, both of Valiant, Louise Rawls of Austin, TX and Ellen Ayers of Ardmore, OK.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Marie Malis
Marie Malis, 86, of Zephyrhills, died Sunday, May 27th, 2001 at Heritage Park Specialty Care Center in Dade City. A native of Austria- Hungary, she moved to the United States in 1952 and to Florida in 1976 from Cleveland. A retired nurse, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills.
Survivors include a nephew, Peter Farkas, of Alpharetta, GA.
The family will receive friends TODAY, May 30, 2001 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary Kemmerling
Mary Kemmerling, 73, of Lake Panasoffkee, died Sunday, May 20th, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City. A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, she moved to this area recently. Survivors include a son, William Applegate. Funeral Services were held in Plymouth, Michigan.
Robert F. Monroe
Robert F. Monroe, 69, of San Antonio, died Saturday, May 19th, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco in Dade City. A native of Dayton, Ohio, he moved to Florida in 1995 from Lima, Ohio. He was a US Air Force Veteran, serving from 1953-58 as a flight engineer on B-36 aircraft and was a retired Plant Engineer for General Dynamics.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Darlene; a son, Franklin Kelly Monroe of Cincinnati; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Conrad of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Friday, may 25th, 2001 at Faith Baptist Church of Wesley Chapel with Reverend Scott Naill officiating. Burial followed at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family received friends from 6:30 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 24th, 2001 at the funeral home.

Gerald Smith
Smith, Gerald, 77, of Dade City, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco in Dade City. A salesman in the trucking industry, he was a Florida resident since 1979, coming from Indiana.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Vicky; a daughter, Susan; a son, David; two brothers, Dr. Don Roberts of Indiana and Danny Smith of Arizona; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Terence.
In lieu of lowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Pasco, 13933 17th Street, Dade City, FL 33525. Hodges Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Edmund Tatro
Edmund Tatro, 68, of Zephyrhills, died Friday evening, May 11th, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco in Dade City. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; and a daughter, Barbara Todaro of Wesley Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 17th, 2001 at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home in Alpena, MI.
Trudy Ann Truesdale
Trudy Ann Truesdale, 39, of Dade City, died Sunday, May 6th, 2001 at home. A native of Tampa, she moved to this area nine months ago from Cape Coral. She worked as a supervisor in the food service industry and was Catholic.
Survivors include her father, Roger Denis and her step-mother, Catherine Denis, both of Dade City; two sisters, Bonnie Harrison and Denise Lincoln, both of Buford, SC; a brother, Kevin Denis of Tampa; and a special friend, Sara Eames, of Cape Coral.
Funeral Services were held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2001. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265 or to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
Louie E. Hess
Hess, Louie E., 82, of Wesley Chapel, died Saturday, May 5, 2001 at Hospice of Pasco in Dade City. A native of Ramsey, WV, he moved to this area in 1963. He was a Warehouse Supervisor for Winn-Dixie and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Leona; two sons, David Hess of Lutz and Jimmy Hess of California; and two daughters, Kathleen Hess of Dover and Pamela Hess of South Tampa.
The family received friends at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2001.
