Jones, John Paul, 74, Zephyrhills, Florida, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born June 16, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan and He moved here from Taylor, MI. He was a Die Maker. He was retired from Ford Motors Tool and Die. He liked golfing, reading and cooking. He was a great cook. He loved his grandchildren. John was a Korean War veteran. He is survived by his loving family including his wife Pat Jones of Taylor, MI, son John (Mari) Jones, Lakeland, Florida, daughter, Marie Belanger, Wyandotte, MI, son, Steven (Jody) Jones, Westland, MI, six grandchildren, Kevin, Matthew, Rina, Allison, Stephanie and Megan, one great grandchild, Chase, sisters, Sybill Piet, Washington, MI, and Muriel McGregor, Riverview, MI, one brother, Jerry (Mary Ann) Jones, Tecumseh, MI
Pastor Jerry E. Redman, Sr.
Pastor Redman, Sr ,Jerry E., 73, Zephyrhills, Florida, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Sunbelt Healthcare Center of Zephyrhills after a prolonged illness. He was born October 29, 1932 in Owensville, Indiana and moved here from Hopkins, Michigan. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He worked for the Sheriff’s Dept in Warsaw, IN for 6 years. He was a retired Corrections Officer in Jackson, MI after 21 years. He ministered to churches during this time as well. He loved motorcycles, playing basketball, football, waterskiing. He was an excellent soft ball pitcher. He was the biggest kid in the family. Jerry also loved gospel music and sang in family trio for community churches. He was a great story teller. He is survived by his loving family including his wife Nina Irene Redman, six daughters, Terry Burnett, Adrian, MI, Vickie Parks, teacher in China, Susan Robbins, Grand Rapids, MI, Cindy Vass, Jackson, MI, Natalie Hood, Kalamazoo, MI, and Colleen Redman, Parma, MI, one son, Jerry Redman, Jr, Zephyrhills, five brothers, Robert Redman, Hanover, MI, William Redman, Spring Arbor, MI, James Redman, Jackson, MI, David Redman, Warsaw, IN., John Redman, Lee Summit, MO, one sister, Becky Humphrey, Warsaw, IN; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. He was preceded by one son, Kirklan Dean Redman, Drayton Plains, MI. He will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Victory Baptist Church in Zephyrhills.
Richard G. Dean
Dean, Richard G., 87, of Dade City, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2006 in Dade City. He was born November 3, 1918 in Sutton, WV, to Lee Dana Dean and Beulah Pearl Cutlip. He was an electrician for the State of Michigan, but retired to Florida 28 years ago. He owned and operated Cathy's Kitchen in Dade City for a number of years. He considered it an honor to serve his country in the US Army during WW II even though it cost him his sight in one eye. He was a member of the VFW in Ypsilanti, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife: Catherine Dobbins Dean; 1 daughter: Sabina Pearl Dean; and 1 granddaughter: Angela Bennett. He is survived by 3 children: Patricia & Gary Bennett, Kenneth Richard "Ricky" Dean, Pamelia Da Dean, all of Ypsilanti, MI; his siblings: Dana Dean Jr., Akron, OH, John B. & Eleanor Dean, South Point, OH, Shirley & Thurman Spaur, Clarksburg, WV, Homer & Carolyn Dean, Sierra Vista, AZ, Shelba & Randall Halstead, Summersville, WV; 1 grandson: Jason & Carmen Bennett, Milan, MI; 4 great grandsons, and his special friend: Sophie Karkut, Dade City, FL. Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Chapel Hill Gardens with Randall Belcher officiating.
Dale J. Johnson
Johnson, Dale J, 76, Zephyrhills, Florida, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Florida Hospital . He was born March 18, 1929 in Fostoria, Michigan and moved to Florida 12 years ago from Otter Lake, MI. He retired from Fisher Body in Flint Michigan. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a veteran and served in the Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Otisville Masonic Lodge #401. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Janet Johnson, two daughters, Kathy Wilson and Karan Johnson, two sons, Bryan (Andrea) Johnson and Mark (Rebecca) Johnson, 11 grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren, one sister Isabel Kinser and one sister-in-law, Beverly McKinstry. A Memorial Service will be held later in Millington, MI. He was loved and will be missed by all!
Ferna Bulkeley
Bulkeley, Ferna E., 66, Zephyrhills, Florida, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at 37533 Poco Ave. after a prolonged illness. She was born October 21, 1939 in Waukegan, Illinois. She was a Laboratory Technician. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, singing, playing music and “one – stroke” artistry painting. She was a happy gal! She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Larry Bulkeley, son, Jeff (Julie) Bulkeley, Spring Hill, Fl., daughter, Lori Perry, Cronulla, Australia, son, James Bulkeley, Weeki Wachee, FL, mother, Ethel M. Rider, Zephyrhills, 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded by her father Glenn Rider and brother Larry Rider. A Memorial Service will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home on 54 Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice.
Alexander Grudzinski
Grudzinski, Alexander A., 88, of Dade City, FL, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2006 in Zephyrhills. He was born August 23, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY, to Alexander Grudzinski and Adela Homicz. He was a Rail Road Conductor and worked for the Long Island Rail Road for 31 years. He was a WW II Army Veteran where he served in the Philipine Islands and West Point, NY. He moved to Zephyrhills from Englewood, FL, and was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus # 10671. He is survived by his son: Al & Sandy Grudzinski, Fairview Heights, IL; his daughter: Ellie Grudzinski, Dade City, FL; his grandchildren: Chris & Robin Grudzinski, Barbara A. Grudzinski; 2 great granddaughters: Sabrina Grudzinski, Olivia Grudzinski; and 2 four-legged companions: Gus & Lucky. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years: Dorothy A. Grudzinski; and 1 daughter: Dorothy Grace Grudzinski. A funeral mass will be held 3pm Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills. Interment will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to the Knights of Columbus Vocational Fund.
Nell Mohler
Mohler, Nell, 82, Zephyrhills, Florida, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Gulfside Regional Hospice after an extended illness. She was born December 5, 1923 in Select, Kentucky. She moved here from Schererville, IN. in 1978. Nell was an Office Manager. She was a member of Zephyr Christian Church and loved singing. She was a past choir member. She loved and took care of her family. She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Cecil Mohler, son Michael Mohler and daughter Christa Switzer all of Zephyrhills; one sister, Marge Skinner of Okeechobee, FL and five grandchildren, Shannon Mills, Keith Switzer, Megan Mohler, Jonathan Mohler and Kathleen Switzer. The Family will receive friends at Hodges Family Funeral Home on 54, Monday, February 13, 2006 from ll:00 – 1:00. A Service will follow at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Doug Campbell from Zephyr Christian will officiate.
Jerome "Jerry" Schrader
SCHRADER, Jerome Gregory "Jerry", 48, died suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 7th at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa. He was born May 7, 1957, the fourth son of Arthur H. Schrader, Jr. and Mary Beaumont Schrader and was a fifth generation resident of San Antonio. Jerry attended St. Anthony's School in San Antonio and graduated from Pasco High School, Dade City, class of 1975. He was a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and was co-founder of Schrader, Johnson, and Auvil law firm. Following his practice of law, he was the co-owner of A & K Lighting Co. and was also enjoying his new enterprise of farming. He, along with his family, was instrumental in forming the building fund for the St. Anthony's Church Parish Center. His greatest pleasure was being with his daughters, attending their sports events, school activities and scuba diving with them. Jerry was widely know for his keen sense of humor and his willingness to aid friends in need. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur H. Schrader and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Schrader, his two daughters; Victoria "Tori"; Rebecca "Bess", of San Antonio; a step-daughter Jessica Maly and husband Jay who reside in the Bahamas and a step son Brett Boyette of Dade City. He is also survived by three brothers, Tom and wife Patty; Ted and wife Julia; Terry and wife Laura, all of San Antonio and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" Barons and husband Mark of Lexington, Mass. and Mary Kay Caroe and husband Tim of Woodbury, Conn. Jerry's broad smile and sense of humor will also be missed by his large and loving family of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Viewing will be on Thurs., Feb. 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a wake and rosary service at St. Anthony of Padua Church, San Antonio. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Feb. 10th at 10:00 a.m., also at the church. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in San Antonio.
