Ezzo, Frances, 82, Zephyrhills, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at East Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City. She was born in Hickman County, Kentucky January 9, 1924 and lived in Clinton Township, MI until she and her husband retired and moved to Betmar Acres in 1986. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Earl, in 2004. She is survived by four children, Earl John (Judith) Ezzo, Jr, Robert (Janet) Ezzo, Mary Kay Fournier and David George Ezzo; grandchildren, John Ezzo, Lisa (Ken) Dubay, William (Roxanne) Ezzo, Robert (Denise) Ezzo, Daniel (Carla) Ezzo, Janet (Dave) Kamsickas, Linda (Tom) Osmialowski, Rollande (Darryl) DeBelle, Samantha (Matt) Wengler, and George Earl Ezzo; great-grandchildren, John Paul Dubreuil, Leanne Osmialowski, Thomas Osmialowki, Michael Hartman, Jackie Hartman, Shelby Ezzo, Jacob Greenleaf, Hannah Greenleaf, Sawyer Dubay, Skylar Dubay, Owen Ezzo, Isaac Ezzo, Brooke Ezzo, Sage Ezzo, Aaron Ezzo, Andrew Ezzo, Sarah Kamsickas, Grace Kamsickas; great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine Vicencio and Hannah Moody. Frances was involved in various Betmar activities including Hobby Club, Hospitality, Shuffle Club Lunches, Swimming Club, Organ and Music Club and Vespers. The family will receive friends at Hodges Family Funeral Home on SR54 in Zephyrhills, Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 4:00 –8:00 and from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Betty Peckham
Mrs. Betty Peckham of Dade City, left this life on June 15, 2006 at the age of 68. Mrs. Peckham was born on April 24, 1938 to parents Delbert and Germain Lyon in Lansing Michigan. She moved to Zephyrhills from Michigan in 1990 and worked as a donut finisher at Maris Donut Shop. Mrs. Peckham is survived by her loving husband Wesley, two sons and a daughter. She is also survived by her two brothers Bob and Albert Lyon, and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Pasco County Animal Shelter.
Stuart Edward Fuess
Fuess, Stuart Edward, 90, born August 29, 1915 in Waterville, NY, beloved husband and father, and a member of the greatest generation, died June 11, 2006 in the care of Gulfside Regional Hospice in Dade City. In a business career of more than forty years with Grange League Federation (GLF) later Agway, Stuart progressed, with a break for WW II Navy service, from laborer on his family’s farm and employee in the Waterville Feed Store, to high executive positions. He retired to Zephyrhills, in 1977 and subsequently to The Edwinola in 2004 where Evelyn still resides. He leaves as survivors his wife of nearly 65 years: Evelyn Stout Fuess; 4 children: William Craig & Marie Fuess, Kevin Stout & Joni Fuess, Barbara & Thomas Ilecki, Stuart Charles & Carlene Fuess; 2 brothers: Roderick and Frederick, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service is planned for 10am Friday, June 16, 2006 at The Edwinola with Rev. R. Craig Ford officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his name to Gulfside Regional Hospice, 6117 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, FL 34653. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the wonderful nurses, relatives, and friends who helped Stuart in his final days.
Ted Amato, Sr.
Amato, Ted, Sr., 76, of Zephyrhills, FL, our loving father and grandfather, went to the loving arms of Jesus, Monday, June 12, 2006, in Zephyrhills. He was born July 18, 1929 in Blue Island, IL, to James Amato and Anna Rivello Amato and was a winter resident of this area since the mid 1940’s. He became a permanent resident 41 years ago from Blue Island, IL, and was an active member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was the co-founder and operator of the East Pasco Garbage Disposal, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Kiwanis Club, and the Moose Lodge. He is survived by 1 daughter: Sam & Rick Scott, Zephyrhills, FL; 2 sons: Ted & Barbara Amato Jr., Zephyrhills, FL, Mike & Kim Amato, Chicago, IL; 1 brother: Leonard & Laverne Amato, Denver, CO; 9 grandchildren: Angela & David Kapteina, Denise Scott, Michael Scott, Tommy & Christina Amato, Jennifer & Jason Wilson, Annie Amato, Sara Amato, Chelsea Amato, Micki Amato; 5 great grandchildren: Kyle Marshall, Ryan Lagassee, Adam Amato, Amanda Amato, Ashlynn Amato; several loving nieces and nephews, and his extensive church family. Funeral services will be held 10am, Friday, June 16, 2006 at St. Rita Catholic Church with Father Edwin Palka as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens. William Dennis
Dennis, William, 76, of Brooksville, died Monday, June 12, 2006 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. Born in Bronson, Fla, he moved to this area in 1936 and graduated from Pasco High School in 1949. A Veteran of the US Army, he served his tour of duty in Alaska. A long time Barber, he opened “Jack’s Barber Shop” in Brooksville in 1970. Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Lon) Kinney of Noblesville, Indiana; three granddaughters, Cara Kinney of Noblesville, Jessica Osterhout of Dothan, AL and Alisa Taylor of Montgomery, Alabama; two great granddaughters; and two great grandsons. He was predeceased by a son, Chris Dennis. Funeral services are private.
John C. Stolte
Stolte, John C., 77, of San Antonio, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Gulfside Regional Hospice at Edwinola, Dade City. He was born May 23, 1929 in Jersey City, New Jersey the son of He was a retired engineer for heating and air-conditioning. He has lived in Florida for 11 years, moving Ridgewood, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 26 yrs, Louise Stolte; his sister, Mary Hamberlin of Memphis Tenn.; his stepsons, Robert Longson of Vermont and Kenneth Longson of Vermont; his grandchildren Eric Longson, Amanda Longson and Christopher Longson, all from Texas and a great granddaughter, Josi Longson. Graveside service will be 11 am Tuesday, June 13 at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, Dade City. A Memorial Mass will be follow at 12 Noon Tuesday at St Anthony of Papua, San Antonio with Father Henry Riffle officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Building Fund.

Giles, Anecia Jiama, infant daughter of Daryl Giles and Tommeca Floyd. She was stillborn June 4, 2006 at Pasco Regional Hospital, Dade City. She is survived by her parents; a sister, Natalia Giles; her grandparents Dolly Wilson, Gary Wilson, Marain Hall and David Giles. Graveside services were held on Friday, June 09, 2006 at Chapel Hill Gardens Baby Land. Hodges Family Funeral Home, 5th St. Chapel, Dade City in charge of arrangements.
Ruby Mae Rapp
Rapp, Ruby Mae, 87 of Zephyrhills, passed away on June 4, 2006. Mrs. Rapp was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on July 24, 1919 to the late Okey and Lillie Starkey, she was a long time resident of Oswego, NY before moving to Tampa in 1986. Mrs. Rapp is survived and will be missed by her husband Don to whom she was married on August 19, 1997, her son Andrew West and his wife Debbie of Oswego, NY; two sisters Jean Klosicki and Violet Tracey of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday June 13, at Hodges Family Funeral Home (5221 8th Street, Zephyrhills) from the hours of 5 till 8 pm. Gerald LaViolette
LaViolette, Gerald, 79, of San Antonio, Fla. passed away Friday, June 9, 2006. He was born August 23, 1926 in Ottawa, Canada the son of Ollie and Mary LaViolette. He was a retired tour bus driver. He had lived in Florida for the last 20 years moving from Michigan. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy Jean LaViolette; his daughter, Sharon and husband, Gary Krause of Brownstown, Mich.; a brother, Kenneth Robert LaViolette of San Antonio; granddaughters, Melanie and Michelle. Graveside services will take place 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. with military honors. He was a very special father and wonderful husband, who will be greatly missed.
Mark A. Florez
Florez, Mark A., 18, of Dade City, died Friday, June 9, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. A native and life-long resident of Dade City, he was a house painter and attended the Dade City Pentecostal Church of God. Survivors include his mother, Janie Florez of Dade City; a brother, Cruz Florez, Jr. of Dade City; a sister, April Florez of Dade City; a half brother, Landro Florez of Houston, Texas; two half sisters, Jackie and Eva Florez, both of Houston; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, (Today), June 13, 2006. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14th at 10 a.m. in the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home with Reverend D. N. Casarez officiating. Burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
