Mrs. Marguerite Lotz, 92 of Ridge Manor left this life on June 1, 2006. Mrs. Lotz was born in Ambridge, Pennsylvania on October 9, 1913 to parents Charles and Elizabeth Yoos. Mrs. Lotz and her dear husband of 66 years, Arthur, moved to Ridge Manor in 1970 after living in Africa for thirty years. Since 1970, Mrs. Lotz has been very active in the Ridge Manor Community Methodist Church and served as their organist and choir director for many years. Mrs. Lotz is survived by her loving husband, Arthur and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2006, 1:00pm, at the Ridge Manor Community Methodist Church. The family of Mrs. Lotz asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Ruth Marie Splan
Splan, Ruth Marie (Corliss), 84, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at her home in Oaks Royal, un-expectantly. She was born February 20, 1922, in Waterville, Maine. She moved here in 1981 from Sherman Mills, Maine with her husband, Tom. She was a homemaker, dairy farmer, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Dade City and Eastern Star Of Sherman, Maine. In Oaks Royal I and II, she was heavily involved in leadership as well as the workings of the park for many years. She was the cheerful greeter at the Dade City Walmart store. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Thomas E. Splan. Her survivors include son, James Splan and Wife Carolyn of Benedicta, Maine; son, Arnold E. Splan Sr. and Wife Patricia of Penobscot, Maine; daughter, Carol Munson and Husband Richard of Sherman, Maine; brother, Ray Corliss and Wife Betty of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at First Congregational Church. The Rev. James Owens will preside from First Congregational Church of Dade City, committal service to be announced at a later date. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Buddy Storch
Storch, Ernest J., “Buddy”, 76, of San Antonio, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. A life long resident of San Antonio, he was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and returned to San Antonio in 1953. He was a carpenter by trade and attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. An avid fisherman and hunter he was also a member of the Dade City VFW. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Storch of San Antonio; two sons, Ernest J. Storch, Jr. “EJ” (Stephanie) of San Diego, CA and Michael Storch (Jannece) of Moon Lake; a step-son, David Adams (Faye) of Palm Bay, FL; two brothers, Edward Storch (Sophie) and Eugene “Sonny” Storch, both of San Antonio; a sister, Stella Barthle of St. Joe; twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Morgan and by a step-son, Richard Adams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5th Street Chapel, from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Monday, June 5, 2006 with Father Henry Riffle as celebrant. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in San Antonio.
Naoma "Brownie" King
King, Naoma "Brownie", 93 of Dade City, passed away, Wednesday, May 31, 2006. She was born December 2, 1912 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by both husbands, Sheldon Olson and H. H. King. Brownie retired from American Can Company as an industrial nurse. Brownie was a long standing member of the Hibiscus Circle, Dade City Garden Club and won many ribbons for her prize violets. She loved life, traveling, dancing, gardening and her precious cocker spaniels. Most of all, Brownie loved living on Lake Iola. The stories she could tell and the memories she had from spending more than 50 years on the lake. She has left a truly loving family: her son Jack (Janet) Olson; wonderful grandchildren: Kippy, Karen and Scott; great grandchildren Jena, Monica, Megan, Katie, Danielle, Alexandra and Ian; and two beautiful great great granddaughters Kirsten and Kayleigh.There is no service per Brownie's wishes, just good memories. We want to thank East Pasco Care Center (Hernando Pasco Hospice) for their loving care.We love you and will all miss you so much, Brownie.
Marilyn B. Greenwald
Greenwald, Marilyn B., 71 years, of Trilby, Florida, passed away Monday, May 29, 2006 at Bayonet Point Hospital, Hudson, Florida. She was born May 3, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Hempstead High School, Hempstead, NY. She moved to Trilby from Clearwater. She loved, breed and raised horses. She and her ex husband, Joseph Greenwald developed Trilby Trails subdivision. She is survived by her two stepsons: William and Robert Greenwald both of Clearwater. Visitation will be 1 to 2 pm, Monday, at Chapel Hill Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with service at 2 pm with inurnment following.
Patrick F. Cooper
Cooper, Patrick F., 40, of Dade City, FL, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006, in Dade City as a result of an automobile accident. He was born November 17, 1965 in Dade City to Charles E. Cooper and Iris Marion Hemingway, and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a 1983 graduate of Pasco Comprehensive High School in Dade City. He was a Customer Service Representative at CitiGroup, and previously worked at the San Antonio Boys Village for 13 years. He is survived by his wife: Connie Jean Cooper, Dade City, FL; his daughter: Christina Jean Cooper, Dade City, FL; his son: Brandon Page, Dade City, FL; 1 sister: Kathy Payne, Dade City, FL; 1 brother: Michael Cooper, Texarkana, TX; and his grandmother: Jenny Lou Hemingway, Dade City, FL. Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, June 5, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel with Rev. Randall Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery. Parker, Gracie M., 82, of Brooksville, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City. She was born September 15, 1924 in Citrus County, FL. She has lived in Florida all her life and lived in Brooksville for the last 20 years. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Brooksville. She was married to Willard A. Parker on September 17, 1938 in Dade City, FL. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1975. She is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Tony) Rhoden, Dade City, FL; 2 sons: William D. Parker, Keaton Beach, FL; Jerry W. (Gloria) Parker, Sr., Sumter County, FL; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel in Dade City with visitation one hour prior to service time. Rose, Jalna M., 66, of Dade City, Florida, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 30, 2006, at her home in Dade City. She was born January 30, 1940 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, to Walter Dussault and Phyllis Cora Player, and moved to Dade City 5 years ago from Vermont. She was an active member of the business community, owning and operating several different businesses, including the Gabbis Hardware in Essex Junction, Vermont, for 13 years. She is survived by her husband of 42 years: Lewellyn P. Rose, Dade City, FL; 2 daughters: Kelly Deforge, Essex Junction, VT, Maybelle Young, Riverview, FL; 1 brother: Gary Blanchard, West Hampton, NJ; 3 sisters: Pamela Isrow, Delray Beach, FL, Mary Roussel, Auburn, ME, Maybelle Crasnick, Portland, ME; and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Vermont.

Sanders, Nancy L. 58, of Dade City, Fl, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Gulfside Regional Hospice in Dade City. Born January 27, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Max and Ida Mae Szymczyk. “It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Nancy Lee Sanders as we grieve the loss of our loving “Mimi”. We are grateful that by the Grace of God her pain was short lived and her passing swift. She will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.” Nancy was employed by Edwinola Assisted Living Facility as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She is survived by her husband Raymond Seweryn Sanders Sr.; 2 sons: Raymond Seweryn Sanders, Jason Allan Sanders; 2 daughters: Samantha Lynn Hoolihan, and Angelann Marie Allan.
