He later left his practice in Manhattan for Winter Haven.
"Instead of a two-hour commute, it took him five minutes to get to his office in Winter Haven, and to the golf course in less than that, " his daughter said.
The skill needed to fashion false teeth and crowns from wax in the older days of dentistry was something Dr. Marschall enjoyed, and they were the same kinds of skills that drew him to model boat building.
"If he didn't have a piece he would make it, " his daughter said.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, serving in World War II. He was a member of the American Dental Society, West Coast Dental Society, Polk County Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentures, Elks Club, Optimist Club and Lake Region Yacht and Country Club.
