LAKE HAMILTON -- Mr. Richard "Tiplight" Smith of Lake Hamilton died of multiple organ failure Aug. 18, 2005, at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 69.
Born in Limestone on Feb. 5, 1936, Mr. Smith came to Lake Hamilton from there 62 years ago. He was an agricultural worker. He was a member of the Pallbearers Association. He was a member of New Sanhill M.B. Holiness Church.
Mr. Smith is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Crews, Lake Alfred, Sharon Smith, Haines City; stepdaughter, Beverly Hill, Dundee; brother, M.C. Smith, Orlando; sisters, Naomi LeFlore, Alton, N.Y., Lucille Jemieson, Lake Hamilton; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Holmes Funeral Home, 601 Claude Holmes Sr. Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Sanhill M.B. Church, 1101 Church St., Lake Hamilton. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
WILLIE GLANTON, 84

DUNDEE -- Mrs. Willie Mae Glanton of Dundee died of heart disease Aug. 17, 2005, at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 84.
Born in Cambellton on Feb. 23, 1921, Mrs. Glanton came to Dundee from Waverly 45 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir.
Mrs. Glanton was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Joseph, Robbie Valentine, Barbara Smith, all of Waverly, Stella G. Panton, Dundee; sons, Orlester Glanton, Tampa, David Glanton, Dundee, John Henry Glanton, Orlando, Roy Glanton, Winter Haven; 81 grandchildren; 130 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 503 Myrtle St., Dundee. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Dundee Community Cemetery.

MARCELINO ROLDAN, 88
City of Plant City
PLANT CITY -- Mr. Marcelino Roldan of Plant City died Sunday (Aug. 21, 2005) of cancer at his home. He was 88.
Born on April 26, 1917, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, he came here from New York in 1971. He was a retired maintenance worker for the city of Plant City. He was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church.
Mr. Roldan was preceded in death by a son, Frankisco Roldan. He is survived by his wife, Felicia Roldan, Plant City; son, Armando Roldan, Plant City; daughters, Graciela Silva and Aurelia Trejo, both of Plant City, and Feinez Roldan, Puerto Rico; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Haught Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clement Catholic Church.

HAINES CITY -- Mr. Howard Towles Smith of Haines City died of cardiac arrest Friday (Aug. 19, 2005). He was 84.
Born Aug. 13, 1921, in Baltimore, Md., Mr. Smith moved to Haines City 39 years ago. He served in the Army in World War II. He worked for Neisner's Brothers as a manager.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Gloria S. Smith; sons, David Smith, Dundee, Stuart Smith, Brooksville; daughter, Sloan Bartlett, Orlando; six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Winter Haven.

PLANT CITY -- Mr. Silvestre Rodriguez of Plant City died of liver failure Friday (Aug. 12, 2005) in Plant City. He was 41.
Born Dec. 31, 1963 in Matamoros, Mexico, he came here from Mexico 28 years ago. He attended St. Clement Catholic Church. He was an agricultural laborer.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Clementina Rodriguez, Plant City; son, Silvestre Rodriguez Jr., Plant City; daughters, Suleyma Sanchez, Rosario Rodriguez and Angela Rodriguez, all of Plant City; parents, Antero and Rosa Rodriguez, Plant City; brothers, Reyes, Nicholas, Alexander, Doinicio, Jose Luis and Alfredo, all of Plant City; sisters, Guadalupe Gamino, Lakeland, Carman Anquiano of Ohio, Rosalinda Estrada, Erma Rodriguez, Plant City, nad Loudes Rodriguez, Mulberry.

LAKE HAMILTON -- Ms. Eva Marie Taylor Amerson of Lake Hamilton died of heart failure Saturday (July 23, 2005) at home. She was 44.
She was a lifelong resident of Polk County. She was a homemaker. She attended Without Walls Central Church in Auburndale.
Ms. Amerson is survived by her sons, Jamie Mark Amerson, Frostproof, Jerry Randall Wilson, Lake Hamilton; daughter, Stephanie Irene Swartz, Polk City; brothers, Junior Taylor, Louis Taylor, Perry Taylor, all of Haines City; sisters, Betty Fuller, Ocala, Rosie Pemberton, Haines City, Dinah Prestwood, Winter Haven; four grandchildren.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Lillie Mae Williams of Lakeland died of heart disease Friday (Aug. 12, 2005) at Palm Terrace-Lakeland. She was 80.
She was born in Madison and lived in Lakeland for more than 50 years. She was a nurse's aide. She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and served on Usher Board No. 2.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Quenton Williams, Tampa, and Issac Williams, Oklahoma City, Okla.; daughter Airy Williams, Chiefland; stepson, Cleveland Williams, Coleman; sister, Genetha McGee, Madison; brother, John Henry Williams, Madison; cargiver and niece, Gloria Williams, Lakeland; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Coney Funeral Parlor Chapel. Services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

DAVENPORT -- Mr. Dwight Gary of Davenport died of heart failure Thursday (Aug. 25, 2005) in Davenport. He was 60.
Born in Mattawamkeag, Maine, on May 2, 1945, Mr. Gary came to Davenport from Maine 15 years ago. He was a field mechanic for Rinker Materials in Haines City. He attended the Rock of Cleveland Church.
Mr. Gary is survived by his wife, Carol Gary; sons, Dwight Edward Gary II, Davenport, Mark Wade Gary, Cleveland, Ga.; stepsons, Barry Thompson and Kurth Allen Thompson, both of Maine; sisters, Edith Deerborn, Frances Andrews, Arline Fogg and Carline McLaine, all of Maine; brothers, Frank Ray Gary and Carl Gary, both of Maine; nine grandchildren.
