Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Sept. 19, 1934, she came to Lake Wales from Kent, Wash., 43 years ago. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband, James R. Alexander; daughter, Mary Ann Johnson, Lake Wales; sisters, Mary R. Pearson, Lake Wales, Margaret C. Reed, Bothell, Wash.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Marilyn P. Avery of Haines City died of heart disease Saturday (Aug. 21, 2004) in Winter Haven. She was 68.
Born on Oct. 29, 1935, she came to Haines City from Lapeer, Mich., in 1993. She was a homemaker. She was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Haines City Church of Christ.
Mrs. Avery was preceded in death by her husband, Victor William Avery Jr. She is survived by her sons, William "Bill" Avery, Canton, Mich., Gerald "Gary" Avery, Saline, Mich., David Avery, Alameda, Calif.; brother, George "Dan" Avery, Lans'e, Mich.; six grandchildren.

AUBURNDALE -- Mr. Roy Cecil Sanders Sr. of Auburndale died of heart failure Sunday (Aug. 22, 2004) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 86.
Born in Boissevain, Va., on Feb. 26, 1918, he came to Polk County from Miami in 1968. He was a retired coal miner. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Sanders is survived by his sons, Eddy D. Sanders, Jerry L. Sanders, both of Auburndale, Bobby D. Sanders, Lake Wales; sisters, Sally Sublett, Irene Graham, Dorothy Mahaffey, all of Abbes Valley, Va.; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.

WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Sally Ruth Johnson of Winter Haven died of cancer Sunday (Aug. 22, 2004) at home. She was 40.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Wendy Deese, Winter Haven; son, Andrew Deese, Bartow; sister, Brenda Orona, Winter Haven; one granddaughter; former husband, Ricky Deese, Winter Haven.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fort Meade.

LAKE ALFRED -- Mrs. Margaret Felton McGary of Lake Alfred died of complications of diabetes Sunday (Aug. 22, 2004) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 78.
Born in Arcola, Miss., she came to Lake Alfred from Haines City in 1965. She retired in domestic work at the Radisson Hotel in Kissimmee. She was a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir No. 1 and the mission department.
Mrs. McGary is survived by her husband, Joe Lee McGary; sons, Willie Felton, Joseph McGary Jr., both of Polk City, Richard Felton, Boston; daughters, Dorothy Bailey, Clara Felton, Lucille Harrington, Sylvia Reed, all of Lakeland, Virgie Dawkins, Polk City, Rosia Baker, Lake Alfred; sister, Georgia Myers, Lakeland; brother, Robert Lee Felton, Polk City; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, 1240 N. Ohio Ave., Lakeland. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in New Platt Cemetery, Polk City.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Jean DeAngelis of Lakeland died of heart and lung failure Monday (Aug. 23, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 84.
Born in New York City on Jan. 19, 1920, she came to Lakeland from Coral Springs six months ago. She was a homemaker. She was a Catholic.
Mrs. DeAngelis was preceded in death by her husband, Archie DeAngelis. She is survived by her daughter, Carole Hissom, Lakeland; son, Paul DeAngelis, Homestead; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 4, at Kraeer Funeral Home, Coral Springs.

Born in Plant City on Oct. 21, 1938, he was a lifelong resident. He was the owner and operator of Concrete Products of Lakeland. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Eagles Club of Lakeland.
Mr. Youngblood is survived by his sons, David Youngblood, Sam Youngblood, Lani Youngblood, all of Lakeland; daughters, Shelda Deeson, Virginia, Jeri McKinney, Golita Thelen, both of Lakeland, Sheryl Davison, LaCrosse, Wis.; sisters, Louise Daignault, Tampa, Florence Defee, Lakeland; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
