PLANT CITY -- Mrs. Betty L. Haegele of Lakeland died of cancer Saturday (Aug. 20, 2005) in Plant City. He was 76.
Born Sept. 23, 1928, in Fairfield, Ill., she was a longtime former resident. She was a bank teller. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Haegele is survived by her daughter, Judith H. Pulliman, Plant City; sister, Doris Barth, Evensville, Ind.; and one grandchild.

ROBERT GILLMAN, 70

LAKELAND -- Mr. Robert J. Gillman of Lakeland died of heart failure Sunday (Aug. 21, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 70.
Born Dec. 3, 1934, in Auburn, Mich., he came here from Ypsilanti, Mich., three years ago. He was a builder. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Gillman is survived by his wife, Joan Byrne Gillman, Lakeland; daughters, Deborah Mato, Livonia, Mich., Denise Gillman, Louisville, Ky., and Michelle Cox, Glendora, Calif.; sons, Gregory Gillman, Belleville, Mich., and Anthony Gillman, Shephardsville, Ky.; sisters, Judine Phillipotts, Saginaw, Mich., and Sally Caldwell, Bossier City, La.; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 820 Marcum Rd., Lakeland, FL 33804.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Ruth Lolley Carmichael of Winter Haven died of heart failure Friday (Aug. 19, 2005) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 92.
Born April 13, 1913, in Geneva, Ala., Mrs. Carmichael moved to Winter Haven from Alturas one year ago. She was a homemaker. She attended Alturas Assembly of God.
Mrs. Carmichael was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Carmichael. She is survived by her son, Robert Lolley, Winter Haven; stepson, Ricky Arter, Lake Wales; sisters, Claudie Smith, Bowling Green, Mac Bell Tucker, Alabama; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Mr. John David Yates of Lakeland, died of liver failure Thursday (Aug. 18, 2005) at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was 51.
He was born Sept. 9, 1953, in Pawtucket, R.I., and was a lifelong resident of Lynchburg. He was a disabled veteran.
Mr. Yates is survived by his daughter, Kelli Johns, Lynchburg; sisters, Beverly Laxdal, Lakeland, Lorna Yates-Traugott, Roswell, Ga.; and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be arranged in Virginia.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Barbara Borsch of Lakeland died of cancer Thursday (Aug. 18, 2005) at home. She was 69.
She was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Elkhart, Ind., and moved to Lakeland from South Bend, Ind., in 1986. She worked for Sam Rogers Mgt. Co.
Mrs. Borsch is survived by her husband, Emil Borsch; sons, Kevin Borsch, South Bend, Ind., and Calvin Borsch, Lakeland, and three grandchildren.
A reception will be held Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the family home, 1400 Banana Road, Lakeland.

LAKELAND -- Mr. James D. Booth of Polk City died of lung cancer (Aug. 18, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 76.
He was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill., and came here from Shreveport, La. In 1996. He was a member of Southeast Motorcoach Assoc., Southeast American Coach Association, FMCA, and VFW. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a nuclear weapons technician. He attended Crestview Baptist Church.
Mr. Booth is survived by his wife, Jean Booth, Polk City; sons, David L. Booth, Tyler, Texas, and Ray E. Booth, Stonewall, La.; daughter, Cheri B. Richardson, Shreveport, La.; brothers, Richard Ohlson, Makanda, Ill., and Earnest Booth, Nettleton, Miss.; sister, Grace Herman, Makanda, Ill.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Crestview Baptist Church.

LAKELAND -- Mr. Robert Wayne Bailey of Auburndale died of heart failure Friday (Aug. 19, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 93.
He was born May 22, 1912, in Winter Haven. He was a production manager at Winter Haven Citrus Growers. Mr. Bailey is survived by his sons, Robert F. Bailey, Auburndale, and Clem Bailey, Bartow; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Sunday at Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven.

LAKELAND -- Mr. Myron A. Kipp of Lakeland died of heart failure Tuesday (Aug. 16, 2005). He was 76.
He was born in Kewaunee, Wis., and moved to Central Florida from Wisconsin in 1963. He was a retired cable splicer for GTE Communications. He was a veteran of the Army and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Plant City.
He is survived by his wife, Jean L. Kipp, Lakeland; daughters, Dawn A. Bodinet, Livermore, and Renee E. Kipp, Lutz; sister, Annabel Retzlaff, Land O' Lakes; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church.
