LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Dorothy Jean Suggs of Lake Wales died of cancer Thursday (Dec. 2, 2004) at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 54.
Born in Sledge, Miss., on May 25, 1950, she came to Lake Wales from Detroit in 1988. She worked in environmental services for Lake Wales Medical Center. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of God by Faith in Waverly, where she was a member of the Usher Board.
Mrs. Suggs is survived by her husband, Rushell Suggs Sr., Detroit; son, Rushell Suggs Jr., Hinesville, Ga.; daughters, Michele Suggs, Lake Wales, Monika Suggs, Tamarac, Laquill Mason, Lake Wales; brothers, Eugene Pride, and Early Pride, both of Lake Wales, Lester Pride, Como, Miss., Kevin Windfield, Cold Water, Miss.; sisters, Ida Davis, St. Louis, Doris Getter, Teresa Pride, Como, Gloria Herring, Barbara Pride, Caroline Pride, all of Lake Wales; four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Church of God by Faith, Waverly. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bible Church of God, 49 Seaboard, Lake Wales.

AUBURNDALE -- Mrs. Connie Eudine Stansell of Auburndale died of heart failure Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 77.
Born in Ocoee on Nov. 15, 1927, she came to Auburndale from Avon Park 57 years ago. She was a retired bookkeeper in the gasoline and petroleum industry. She was a volunteer for Good Shepherd Hospice.
Mrs. Stansell is survived by her son, Terry Stansell, Auburndale; daughter, Delora Herndon, Auburndale; brothers, Aaron Howze, Fort Myers, Charles Howze, Avon Park, Junior Howze, Winter Haven; sister, Esther Hendrick, Smyrna, GA.; two grandsons; one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 W. Derby Ave., Auburndale.

WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Fred Routzong of Winter Haven died of heart failure Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 86.
Born in Inverness on April 10, 1918, he came to Winter Haven from Lakeland in 1962. He was a retired electrical contractor for Haines City Electric and a member of the IBEW Electrical Union. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Edgewood and Inman Park Churches of Christ.
Mr. Routzong is survived by his wife, Grace Routzong; daughters, Becky Clark, Linda Kaley, both of Lakeland; brother, Harold Routzong, Fort Myers; sisters, Martha Ann Mills, Rock Hill, S.C., Dot Sanders, Fernandina Beach, Judi Quinn, St. Petersburg; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
LYDIA RIVERA-SANTANA, 84

PLANT CITY -- Ms. Lydia Rivera-Santana of Plant City died of heart failure Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004) in Brandon. She was 84.
Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, on Nov. 20, 1920, she came to Plant City from Puerto Rico two years ago. She was a hotel maid.
Ms. Rivera-Santana is survived by her son, Braulio Pacheco, New York; daughters, Basilia Santana, Josephine Pena, both of Plant City, Judy Pacheco, New York; brothers, Saul Rivera, Antonio Rivera, both of Puerto Rico; sisters, Carman Simmons, Puerto Rico, Maria Rivera, Connecticut; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Born in Plainsville, Ohio, on March 22, 1929, he came to Lakeland from St. Petersburg three years ago. He was a civil engineer. He was a Lutheran.
Mr. Punkar is survived by his wife, Antoinette Punkar; sons, Bruce Punkar, Venice, Barry Punkar, Riverview; daughter, Beth Daschner, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

ROCKWALL, Texas -- Ms. Mary K. Pierce of Rockwall, Texas, a winter resident of Dundee, died of heart failure Dec. 1, 2004, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 83.
Born in Obion County, Tenn., on Nov. 29, 1921, she became a winter resident of Dundee two years ago, coming from Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwall.
Ms. Pierce is survived by her son, Donald Pierce, Santa Barbara, Calif.; brother, Lynn McMullin, Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; sisters, Hilda Allmon, Horseshoe Bend, Sue Waln, Rockwall; companion, Leonard Cerino; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

FORT PIERCE -- Mr. Daniel Neasom of Fort Pierce died after being struck by a train Nov. 21, 2004, in Lakeland. He was 64.
Born in Leesburg, Ga., on Aug. 29, 1940, he came to Florida as a child. He was a citrus worker.
Mr. Neasom is survived by his daughter, Alberta Spears, Fort Pierce; two granddaughters; four great-granddaughters.

LAKE HAMILTON -- Mr. Joseph Russell Mort of Lake Hamilton died of heart disease Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Haines City Health Care. He was 88.
Born in Pullman, Mich., on Oct. 29, 1916, he came to Lake Hamilton from Allegan, Mich., 28 years ago. He was a retired driver for Bender and Loudon Motor Freight in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Mort is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn May Mort; sons, Robert Mort, Lake Hamilton, James Mort, Bloomingdale, Mich.; sister, Florabelle Adams, St. Joseph, Mich.; brother, Roy Mort, Watervliet, Mich.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
