Born in Lexington, Ky., on Nov. 30, 1946, he came to Auburndale from Georgia eight years ago. He was a manager in the printing manufacturing industry. He was president of the Foster Parent Association District No. 14. He attended First United Methodist Church of Auburndale.
Mr. Dodson is survived by his wife, Pat Dodson; sons, David Dodson, Fort Lauderdale, Brian Dodson, Ohio, David Jacob, Auburndale; brothers, David Lee Dodson, Columbia, Tenn., Bobby Dodson, San Diego; mother, Mary L. Dodson, Lexington, Ky.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

LAKE WALES -- Mr. Clayton Dill of Lake Wales died of cancer Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at home. He was 58.
He was born in Madison County, N.C., on Dec. 17, 1945. He retired from Polk County in mosquito control. He later owned and operated Clayton Dill Vending. He attended First Assembly of God Church in Lake Wales.
Mr. Dill is survived by his wife, Dale Dill; son, Mark Dill, Haines City; brothers, Vernon Dill, Oakwood, Ga., Charlie Dill, Luverne, Ala.; mother, Mary Shelton, Kingsport, Tenn.; sisters, Vergie Walker, High Point, N.C., Marzella Bowman, Kingsport, Brenda Luker, Cummings, Ga.; three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Lake Wales Cemetery.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Rita Ann Coppola of Lakeland died of complications from surgery Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 78.
Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., on Aug. 8, 1926, she came to Lakeland from Middlesex, N.J., 14 years ago. She was a homemaker and a 25year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Middlesex, N.J., Fire Department. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland.
Mrs. Coppola is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Coppola Sr.; son, Daniel J. Coppola Jr., Somerset, N.J.; daughters, Margaret Coppola, Carol Skinner, both of Lakeland, Susan Murphy, Churchville, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

LAKELAND -- Mr. Allen Wayne Copeland of Lakeland died of cancer Sunday (Dec. 5, 2004) at Tampa General Hospital. He was 46.
Born in Sullivan, Ind., on Dec. 12, 1957, he came to Lakeland from Troy, Ohio, in 1996. He was a computer programmer for John Hancock Insurance Co. in Tampa. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Grace Worship Center in Lakeland.
Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife, Nancy Copeland; sons, Michael Copeland, Brian Lague, both of Lakeland, Tye Copeland, Plant City; daughters, Stacy Lague, Emily Copeland, both of Lakeland; father, Virgil Copeland Jr., Vevay, Ind.; stepmother, Sandra Copeland, Vevay; sister, Elizabeth Martin, Whittier, Calif.; two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Grace Worship Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Norma Aileen Burns of Lakeland died of cancer Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at home. She was 83.
Born in Bailyton, Tenn., on May 16, 1921, she came to Lakeland from Akron, Ohio, in 1974. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her son, James E. Burns, Fort George, Ga.; daughter, Paula Spruill, Watkinsville, Ga.; four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Helen H. Berry of Lakeland died of a heart attack Nov. 18, 2004, in Lakeland. She was 96.
Born in Chicago on Jan. 12, 1908, she came to Lakeland in 1981. She was a corporate secretary for the former First Federal Savings and Loan. She was a corporate executive secretary for Florida Presbyterian Homes Inc. She was a volunteer at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was secretary for the church women united.
Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Berry.

DUNDEE -- Mr. William G. "Gus" Belcher of Dundee died of heart failure Saturday (Dec. 4, 2004) at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 68.
Born in Tremont, Ky., on April 6, 1936, he came to Dundee from Lake Wales in 1966. He was a funeral director and partner of Haines City Funeral Home. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale with a bachelor of science in criminal justice and received his DMS diploma from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science at the University of Louisville. He also attended the University of Florida Medical School in Gainesville. He was past president of the Fort Myers Kiwanis Club, where he was a 30-year member. He was past president of the Babe Ruth League of Fort Myers and past manager and coach of the Babe Ruth Baseball. He was past manager of the American Legion Baseball in Lake Placid and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2420 in Lake Wales. He was a former member of the 149th Infantry in the Harlan National Guard. He was a 40-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a 38-year member of the Shrine Temple of Florida. He attended Dundee Baptist Temple.
Mr. Belcher is survived by his wife, Jan R. Belcher; son, William Gus Belcher II, Fort Myers; daughter, Lisa R. Klemm, Dundee; brothers, John L. Belcher, Dayhoit, Ky., Willie Williams, Tremont, Ky.; three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Baptist Temple of Dundee.

WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. James "Andy" Anderson of Winter Haven died of heart failure Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was 82.
Born in Cordele, Ga., on March 20, 1922, he came to Winter Haven from Quitman, Ga., in 1953. He was an aircraft mechanic for McDonell Douglas. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1023 in Winter Haven.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janell Anderson; sons, James L. Anderson, Lakeland, John R. Anderson, Winter Haven; daughter, Janice Fay Blount, Vidalia, Ga.; brother, Frank Anderson Jr., Winter Haven; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.
