LAKELAND -- Mrs. Margaret B. Stewart of Lakeland died of kidney failure Thursdsy (Dec. 16, 2004) in Lakeland. She was 87.
Born in Pittsburg on Sept. 16, 1917, she came to Lakeland from there in 1976. She was a retired clerk for Bell Telephone. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Stewart. She is survived by her sons, Walter R. Stewart Jr., Lakeland, Robert L. Stewart, Highland City.
Memorial services will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Grace Lutheran Church, 745 Ingraham St., Lakeland.

HAINES CITY -- Ms. Sylina Angela Rivers of Haines City died of heart and lung disease Wednesday (Dec. 15, 2004) at Heart of Florida Medical Center. She was 32.
Born in Sodus, N.Y., on Sept. 27, 1972, she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Mark AME Church.
Ms. Rivers is survived by her son, Domonic Rivers, Haines City; daughter, Felicia Rivers, Haines City; father, Robert Davis, Lake Alfred; mother, Viola Mitchell, Haines City; brothers, Robert, Robert III, and Roger Davis, all of Lake Alfred; sisters, Shanta Rivers, Winter Haven, Montisha Desir, Haines City, Toni, Kantrice, Raquel, and Jennifer Davis, all of Lake Alfred; grandparents, Minniel Davis, Lake Alfred, Robert Davis Sr., Lake Hamilton.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Holmes Funeral Home, 601 Claude Holmes Sr. Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark AME Church, 826 N. Eighth St., Haines City. Burial will be in New Oakland Cemetery.

LAKE WALES -- Mr. Sammy Ray of Lake Wales died of lung failure Friday (Dec. 17, 2004) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 76.
Born in Adel, Ga., on March 19, 1928, he came to Lake Wales from Sparks, Ga., in 1949. He was a caretaker for Highland Park Service Co. He was a member of Allen Temple AME Church in Lake Wales.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Earnestine Ray; sons, Michael Ray, Williamson, N.Y., Jerry Ray, Grove Hill, Ala.; daughters, Patricia Kirkland, Faye Ferrell, both of Lake Wales; sisters, Johnnie Jenkins, Hattie Smith, Lovette Sims, Sparks, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Allen Temple AME Church in Lake Wales. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Lake Wales Cemetery.

MELROSE -- Mr. William N. Myers of Melrose, a native of Fort Meade, died of heart failure Sunday (Dec. 19, 2004) at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He was 79.
Born in Fort Meade on Aug. 6, 1925, he moved to Melrose from Astor six years ago. He was a citrus grower and nurseryman, having owned Bill Myers Citrus Nursery in Fort Meade and Indiantown. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Myers is survived by his daughter, Gayle Welnkauf, Fort Meade; son, William N. Myers Jr., Gray, Ga.; sisters, Annebelle Studer, Ocala, Dorothy Sloan, Astor, Diane Dixon, Marshall, N.C.; brother, Leon Myers, Okeechobee; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
DAVID McKINIZE, 81

FORT MEADE -- Mr. David McKinize of Fort Meade died of cancer Friday (Dec. 17, 2004) at Bartow Memorial Hospital. He was 81.
He was born in Fort Meade on April 15, 1923. He was a pulp wood laborer. He was a member of Deliverance Holiness Church of Winter Haven.
Mr. McKinize is survived by his sons, David McKinize Jr., Leroy McKinize, both of Fort Meade, the Rev. Ervin McKinize, Darrell McKinize, both of Winter Haven; daughters, Jeanette Williamson, Bartow, Alberta Miller, Fort Meade, Lolita Simmons, Patricia Ann McKinize, Mary Ann Harrison, all of Tampa; brother, Theodore McKinize, Tampa; a host of grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 this evening at Williams Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
JOSEPH LUCIUS, 81

LAKELAND -- Mr. Joseph V. Lucius of Lakeland died of cancer Saturday (Dec. 18, 2004) at his home. He was 81.
Born Dec. 28, 1922, Mr. Lucius came here from Gainesville in 1994. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a service manager for Heavy Duty Trucks. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Ormar Shrine Temple in Charleston, S.C. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Mr. Lucius is survived by his wife, Connie Lucius; son, Joseph V. Lucius Jr., Huntsville, Ala.; daughter, Blanche L. Kellet, Simpsonville, S.C.; stepsons, Wayne Holton, Lakeland, Michael S. Holton, Cross City; sister, Faye Kelly, Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 this morning at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.

HAINES CITY -- Mr. Charles M. Ingle of Haines City died of heart failure Sunday (Dec. 19, 2004) in Winter Haven. He was 82.
Born in Mattoon, Ill., on Dec. 31, 1921, he was a winter resident before moving here more than five years ago. He worked in sales at Wal-Mart. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Ingle is survived by his wife, Betty A. Ingle; sons, R. Randy Ingle, Fayetteville, Ark., C. Bruce Ingle, Michael "Roger" Ingle, both of Rogers, Ark.; brother, Gene Ingle, Trinidad, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held later in Arkansas.

FORT MEADE -- Mr. Charlie Huddlen of Fort Meade died of heart failure Friday (Dec. 17, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical center. He was 76.
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Miss., on Sept. 28, 1918, he came to Fort Meade from St. Louis 20 years ago. He was a retired laborer. He was of the Holiness faith.
Mr. Huddlen is survived by his daughters, Leonora Anderson, St. Louis, Ethel Gartman, Fort Meade, Sylvia Crowthur, Meridian, Miss.; sisters, Mary Louise Clark, Alonie Small, Betty Lewis, all of Fort Meade.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Meade.
