LAKE WALES -- Mr. Lawrence Daniel Collier of Lake Wales died of heart failure Tuesday (Dec. 21, 2004) at home. He was 75.
Born in Lake Wales on Oct. 22, 1929, Mr. Collier came to Lake Wales from Hialeah in 1970. He was a self-employed property owner and manager. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War in which he served as an aircraft mechanic. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Eastern Airlines. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Collier is survived by his wife, Betty R. Collier; daughter, Kimberly Ann Beahan, Sharpsburg, Ga.; son, Lawrence Daniel Collier Jr., Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Nita Shaw, Plant City, Priscilla Taylor, Clearwater, Mike Chisolm, Woodstock, Ga.; one grandson.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 this afternoon at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

BENJAMIN OTRUBA, 85

AUBURNDALE -- Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Peter Otruba of Auburndale died of heart failure Tuesday (Dec. 21, 2004) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 85.
Born in Detroit on Oct. 8, 1919, Mr. Otruba came to Auburndale from Mahasset, N.Y., in 1972. He owned and operated Otruba Construction in Manhasset for 30 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven.
Mr. Otruba is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Victoria Otruba; sons, Benjamin Otruba Jr., Huntington, N.Y., Robert Otruba, Port Washington, N.Y., Peter Otruba, Centerport, N.Y., Jeffrey Otruba, Lindenhurst, N.Y., Richard Otruba, Miami; daughters, Barbara Bass, Rosemary Otruba, both of Auburndale; nine grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Winter Haven.

DAVENPORT -- Mr. Elmer H. Ledford of Davenport died Monday (Dec. 20, 2004) in Davenport. He was 81.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
Memorials may be made to Shamrock Baptist Church.
RHEA WOLFE, 87

WINTER HAVEN -- Ms. Rhea Welshans Wolfe of Winter Haven died of heart failure Tuesday (Dec. 21, 2004) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 87.
Born in Wheeling, W.Va., on March 25, 1917, Ms. Wolfe came to Winter Haven from Miami in 1970. She worked in law enforcement for 28 years -- including the Polk County Sheriff's Office and as a probation and parole officer. She was one of the founders of the pre-trial intervention program in Bartow.
Ms. Wolfe was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wolfe. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Pavlik, Shadyside, Ohio.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

OLLIE HUDSON, 91

HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Ollie B. Hudson of Haines City died of cancer Friday (Dec. 17, 2004) in San Marcos, Texas. She was 91.
Born in Opp, Ala., on Nov. 14, 1913, Mrs. Hudson came to Haines City from there in 1939. She was a sectionizer for Snively Citrus.
Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Hudson. She is survived by her daughter, Clara Belle Sandager, Texas; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
FELIX OCASIO-MARRERO, 59

LAKELAND -- Mr. Felix Antonia Ocasio-Marrero of Lakeland died of injuries sustained in an auto wreck Monday (Dec. 20, 2004) in Lakeland. He was 59.
Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, on Jan. 17, 1945, he came to Lakeland from Puerto Rico four years ago. He was an Army veteran. He was a minister at Iglesia Evangelica Congregational Church.
Mr. Ocasio-Marrero is survived by his wife, Julia Diaz-Ocasio; daughters, Julia I. Ocasio, Yamilitza Ocasio, both of Puerto Rico, Miriam Ocasio, Brenda L. Ocasio, Damaris Ocasio, Dilmaris Ocasio, all of Lakeland; mother, Ramona Marrero, Puerto Rico; sister, Maria E. Ocasio, Puerto Rico; brother, Julio R. Ocasio, Puerto Rico; 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will be held in Puerto Rico.
KATHRYN SWEAZY, 83

WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Kathryn E. Sweazy of Winter Haven died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Friday (Dec. 17, 2004) in Winter Haven. She was 83.
Born in Fort Recovery, Ohio, Mrs. Sweazy came to Winter Haven from Rochester, N.Y., in 1980. She was a homemaker. She was a Protestant.
Mrs. Sweazy is survived by her daughter, Shirley Gillies, Winter Haven; sons, George Sweazy, Thomas Sweazy, both of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Lakeview Church of God in Decatur, Ill., and Westside Assembly of God Church in Auburndale.
Mrs. Brozio is survived by her husband, Herman Brozio; children, Joanne Severe, Rose Bud, Ark., Roy Brozio, Polk City, Linda Nichols, Auburndale, Fred Brozio, Decatur, Betty Ennis, Kathleen; half-brothers, Dearl Justice, Elzy Justice, both of Decatur, Ill.; half-sister, Lillie Finn, Riverside, Wash.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
