ST. PETERSBURG -- Mr. Madison M. Mosley Jr. of St. Petersburg, who has family in Polk County, died of kidney failure Tuesday (March 29, 2005) in St. Petersburg. He was 55.
Born in Leesburg on Jan. 17, 1950, Mr. Mosley moved to St. Petersburg fron Avon Park in 1985. He was a reference librarian for Stetson College of Law and was appointed library director in 2001.
Mr. Mosley belonged to the American Library Association, the American Association of Law Libraries, the Florida Library Association, the Association of College and Research Libraries, the Florida Bar and the National Bar Association.
He was a former Avon Park city councilman. He co-chaired St. Petersburg's Citizens Review Committee for the police department and served on the city's African-American Voter Education Committee. He was a Christian.
Mr. Mosley is survived by his brothers, Willie Mosley, Lakeland, Lionel Walker, Crystal River, Alphonso Reese, Leesburg, David Crummer, Winter Garden, Arthur Crummer, Crystal River; sisters, Jennette Hurst, Fruitland, Clyde Guy, West Palm Beach, Sandra Mattison, Mount Dora, Charlene Wiggins, Leesburg, Sharon Sawyer, Crystal River, Janice Bryant, Tallahassee; stepmother, Bennie Mae Mosley, Tallahassee.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Steele's Family Funeral Services, 207 Burns Lane S.E., Winter Haven. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Leesburg.

HAINES CITY -- Mr. Bill "Pops" Mills of Haines City died of heart failure Tuesday (March 29, 2005) in Haines City. He was 71.
Born in Warren, Ohio, on Jan. 13, 1934, Mr. Mills came to Polk County from Ohio 10 years ago. He was a foreman at Alcan Aluminum in Warren, where he was a past union president.
Mr. Mills is survived by his wife, June Mills; son, William D. Mills, Cortland, Ohio; daughter, Debra Hall, Streetsboro; sister, Nancy Martin, Winter Haven; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Cortland, Ohio.

BARTOW -- Mr. Calvin Ray Dunkle of Bartow died of heart failure Sunday (March 27, 2005) at Highlands Lake Center. He was 90.
Born in Sandy Lake, Pa., on May 5, 1914, Mr. Dunkle came to Bartow from Laurel, Md., two years ago. He was a horse trainer and a member of the Horseman's Benevolence Association.
Mr. Dunkle was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Dunkle and son, Calvin Ray Dunkle III. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Walker, Bartow, Carolyn Mitzel, Fishers, Ind., Nancy Chaney, Chesapeake, Va.; sister, Ruth Krowell, Sandy Lake, Pa.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

LAKELAND -- Mr. Gerald "Ricky" Franklin Jr. of Lakeland died Friday (March 25, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 44.
Born in Lakeland, Mr. Franklin was an entrepreneur, working in interior decorating and wedding consulting. He was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his mother, Johnnie Mae Franklin, Lakeland; sister, Mary Linda Franklin Kirkland, Lakeland; brothers, Tyrone Franklin, Lakeland, Edward Franklin, Washington, Ga.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Coney Funeral Parlor Inc. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery.

HAINES CITY -- Miss Dayana Magana Garcia, the daughter of Ebelia Magana Garcia and Miguel Magana Gamez of Haines City, died of lung failure Sunday (March 27, 2005) in Haines City. She was 2.
She was born in Eustis on Jan. 23, 2003.
In addition to her parents, Miss Garcia is survived by her maternal grandfather, Garcia; maternal grandmother, Martinez; paternal grandfather, Magana; paternal grandmother, Edelmira Gamez.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hills Cemetery, Haines City.

LAKE WALES -- Mr. Mark William Hicks of Lake Wales died of a heart attack Wednesday (March 30, 2005) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 38.
Born in Mayfield, Ky., on Jan. 31, 1967, Mr. Hicks came to Lake Wales from Kentucky. He worked as a truck driver for Eagle Transportation Company. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Hicks is survived by his sister, Cindy Peeler, Paducah, Ky.
Services will be held in Paducah, Ky.

JOSEPH MASOTTI, 71

INDIAN LAKE ESTATES -- Mr. Joseph Vito Masotti of Indian Lake Estates died of lung cancer Tuesday (March 29, 2005) at home. He was 71.
Born in Flushing, N.Y., on Feb. 19, 1934, he came to Indian Lake Estates from Trucksville, Pa., seven years ago. He was a master chef and owned Muncy Valley Inne in Muncy Valley, Pa. He was the executive chef manager of Fox Hill Country Club in Pittston, Pa., for 10 years, and executive chef at Lekerica Restaurant in Lake Wales.
He designed the opening menus for Lake Ashton Golf Club and KC's Grille in Lake Wales.
Mr. Masotti was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post No. 400. He was a former member of the Eagles Mere Country Club in Eagles Mere, Pa., and the Indian Lake Estates Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Masotti; brother, Domonic Masotti, Bay Shore, N.Y.; sister, Rosan Mazzilli, East Northport, N.Y.; stepdaughter, Lauren Hrynyshyn Shafer, Montoursville, Pa.; stepson, Walter Hrynyshyn, York, Pa.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Wales. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
