AUBURNDALE -- Mr. Marley Halvorsen of Auburndale died of congestive heart failure Saturday (April 2, 2005) at home. He was 72.
Born in Wilmette, Ill., on May 7, 1932, he came to Auburndale from Orlando eight years ago. He worked in hotel administration. He was an Army veteran.
Mr. Halvorsen is survived his wife, Barbara W. Halvorsen; daughters, Marla E. St. Louis, Maria L. Solis, both of Orlando; son, Mark W. Halvorsen, Los Angeles; sister, Dodie Valentine, Ponte Vedra; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.

LLOYD ROGGE, 85

TALLAHASSEE -- Mr. Lloyd Charles Rogge of Tallahassee died of Parkinson's disease Friday (April 1, 2005). He was 85.
Born Nov. 25, 1919, in Palmer, Kansas, he was a former resident of Lakeland before moving to Tallahassee in 2003. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a conductor for Seaboard Railroad. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a lobbyist for the Railroad Union.
Mr. Rogge is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Laverne Rogge; son, Roger Rogge, Naylor, Ga.; daughter, Jeanny Dees-Wengert, Tallahassee; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Lakeland.
NANCY BLACKENTER, 63

LAKE WALES -- Ms. Nancy Ruth Blackenter of Lake Wales died of cancer Friday (April 1, 2005). She was 63.
Born Sept. 8, 1941, in Stoddard, Mo., Ms. Blackenter came here from Kentucky 26 years ago. She was a kitchen aide for Lake Region Yacht and Country Club. She was a Baptist.
Ms. Blackenter is survived by her daughters, Jenny Cap, Daytona Beach, Anna Grimes, St. Mary's, Ga., Tina Blackenter, Fort Stewart, Ga.; sons, Dink Hensley and Edward Hensley, both of Frostproof, Everett Blackenter, Lake Wales; brother, David Sisk, Arkansas, Leonard Sisk, Kentucky; sisters, Delorse Clouse, Haines City, Patsy Cooper, Tennessee, Brenda Linville, Arkansas, Phillis Moss, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Frostproof. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

AUBURNDALE -- Mrs. Gertrude Patience Bricker of Auburndale died of cancer Sunday (April 3, 2005) at New Horizons Share Home in Winter Haven. She was 88.
Born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, on March 15, 1917, she came to Auburndale from Melbourne in 1972. She was an executive secretary for Director of Space Technology Laboratories. She was a member of the Auburndale Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale.
Mrs. Bricker was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Bricker, and her son, Jackie Bricker. She is survived by her daughter, Bess Lott, Auburndale; son, Donald Bricker, Melbourne Beach; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Thelma Morris of Lakeland died of cardio-respiratory failure Saturday (April 2, 2005) at Tandem Healthcare of Lakeland. She was 86.
Born Dec. 22, 1918, in Moultrie, Ga., she came here from there 70 years ago. She was a sectionizer. She was a member of Ardella Baptist Church.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Morris. She is survived by her sons, Winston Morris, Celebration, Wayne Morris, Grand Bay; daughter, Jeanie Coleman, Lakeland; sister, Betty Grace Carr, Sarasota; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Elinor M. Dailey Wagner of Lakeland died of cancer March 20, 2005. She was 84.
She was born in Erie, Pa., on July 5, 1920. She was a registered nurse at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie. She graduated from Saint Vincent School of Nursing in Erie.
Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Wagner. She is survived by her children, Karen Cuzzola, Kathryn Wagner, and Jane Wieser, all of Erie, Mary Ann Coleman, Binghamton, N.Y., Margaret Lattanzio, Allison Park, Pa., John F. Wagner, Solon, Ohio, James Wagner, , Titusville, Pa., Jeffrey Wagner, Gibsonia, Pa.; brothers, John J. and James R. Dailey, both of Erie; 17 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church in Lakeland.

PLANT CITY -- Mr. Alvin "Gene" Harrell of Plant City died Monday (April 18, 2005) at home of complications from a stroke. He was 51.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1953, in Atlanta, Ga., and moved to Plant City from Georgia 43 years ago. He was an electrician. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Karla Harrell, Plant City, sons, Jeremy Harrell and Jordan Harrell, both of Plant City; daughters, Jacinda Balliett, Tampa, and Alicia Harrell and Melissa Tollar, both of Plant City; mother, Goldie Cannon, Tampa; and brothers, Joe Harrell, Georgia, Clark Harrell Jr., Plant City, and Keith Harrell, Tallahassee.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at East Thonotosassa Baptist Church.
