LAKE WALES -- Mr. B. Wilson Furr of Lake Wales died of complications of pneumonia Thursday (April 21, 2005) at home. He was 88.
Born in Crenshaw County, Ala., on Oct. 21, 1916, he came to Lake Wales from Beaumont, Pa., in 1952. He was a self-employed painting contractor for residential and commercial painting. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served as a tank commander. He received two Bronze Stars, an Oak Leaf Cluster and a Purple Heart. He was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church.
Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, Jeanne Furr; daughters, Mary Jeanne West, Astor, Sally Windmon, Winter Haven; brothers, Owen Furr, Luverne, Ala., Athens Furr, Keystone Heights; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church in Lake Wales. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

ZEPHYRHILLS -- Mrs. Gladys L. Browning of Zephyrhills, who has family in Polk County and Plant City, died of heart failure Friday (April 22, 2005) at Heartland of Zephyrhills. She was 90.
Born in Laurens, Ga., on May 28, 1914, Mrs. Browning moved to Zephyrhills from Tampa one month ago. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Browning is survived by her sons, Robert Browning, Mulberry, Buddy Browning, Plant City; brother, Ander Evans, Plant City; sister, Minnie Brooks, Plant City; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Seigler Funeral Home, Highway 60 E., Mulberry. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel.

HAINES CITY -- Ms. Roberta M. Norris of Haines City died of heart failure March 25, 2005. She was 67.
Born in Leominster, Mass., on Dec. 17, 1937. She worked for Foster Grant before coming to Florida. She was a certified nursing assistant for Crossroads Nursing Home in Davenport for 16 years and retired as a CNA supervisor.
Ms. Norris is survived by her son, Stephen Towle, Greenville, Texas; sisters, Patricia Mobley, Orlando, Constance C. Johnson, Worcester, Mass., Beverly A. Mattos, Jacksonville; brother, Raymond D. Brassard, Shrewsburg, Mass.

LAKE PLACID -- Mrs. Jeraldine Crenshaw of Lake Placid died of liver failure March 29, 2005, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was 65.
Born in Tallahassee on April 26, 1939, she came to Lake Placid from Tampa 63 years ago. She was a fruit picker. She was a member of Faith Temple Holiness Church.
Mrs. Crenshaw is survived by her husband, James Crenshaw; daughters, Barbara Hill, Eluria, Ohio, Cherrie Caston, Judy Crenshaw, Emma Jean Lockett, all of Lake Placid; sons, Milton Crenshaw, Dennis Crenshaw, both of Lake Placid, Michael Crenshaw, Sebring, Lamar Crenshaw, Port Charlotte, Ulysses Crenshaw, Orlando, Reginald Deveaux, Chicago; sisters, Mae Ollie Rose, Lake Placid, Lettie Stewart, Dade City, Roberta Williams, Tampa, Barbara Williams, Polk City; brothers, Robert McFadden, Dade City, Bobby Lee Green, Lake Placid; 34 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
