LAKE WALES -- Mr. Edgar Gerardo Revelo of Lake Wales died of heart failure Monday (April 18, 2005) at his home. He was 18.
Born April 29, 1986, l in Guanajuato, Mexico, he moved to Lake Wales from Mexico eight years ago. He was a student at Lake Wales Senior High School. He was active in the Circle of Friends Ministry in Lake Wales. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Wales.
Mr. Revelo is survived by his parents, Gerardo and Maria Revelo, and brothers, Jose J. Revelo and David A. Revelo, all of Lake Wales.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home from noon to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Jamie Grace Rogers of Lakeland died of heart failure Saturday (April 16, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 86.
Born Sept. 30, 1918, in Kentucky, she came here from Omega, Ga., in 1959. She worked in food preparation. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness West Congregation.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland Rogers. She is survived by her sons, Robert A. Rogers of Lakeland and Jimmy A. Rogers of Lakeland; daughters, Molene Carr of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. and Pat Huddleston of Lakeland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Kingdom Hall, 2100 Providence Road, Lakeland.

LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Zayna Marguerite Rudy of Lake Wales died of heart failure Saturday (April 16, 2005) at her home. She was 83.
Born Dec. 13, 1921, in Jesup, Ark., and moved to Lake Wales seventeen years ago from Peoria Heights, Ill. She was a retired secretary. She was a Protestant.
Mrs. Rudy is preceded in death by her husband, Garth D. Rudy. She is survived by her daughters, Malinda Ann Richards of Downers Grove, Ill., and Patricia Clare Collins of Kenai, Alaska; brother, James L. Smith of Smithville, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lake Hamilton Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

LAKELAND -- Mrs. Martha Wert Barber of Lakeland died Friday (April 15, 2005) at home. The cause of death is pending autopsy results. She was 75.
Born in Covington, Ky., on May 16, 1929, she came to Lakeland in 1986. She was an office worker for Pease Woodworking Co. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lakeland and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Barber. She is survived by her brothers, William Wert, Terre Haute, Ind., James Wert, Banning, Calif., Robert Wert, Fernandina Beach, Thomas Wert, Kati-Kati, New Zealand; sisters, Amanda Bratton, Banning, Georgia Brevard, Port Davis, Texas.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 730 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland.

LAKELAND -- Mr. Thomas "Joshua" Blasingame of Lakeland died Tuesday (April 19, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was 21.
He was born in Lakeland on Dec. 3, 1983. He worked in food service.

FORT MEADE -- Mr. Thomas Lee Johnson of Fort Meade died of cancer April 13, 2005. He was 72.
Born in Fort Meade on March 23, 1933, he was a lifelong resident. He was a citrus foreman. He was an Army veteran.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Deborah W. Bogan Johnson; daughter, Angela Alexander, Lakeland; sisters, Rosa Lee Robinson, Richmond, Va., Arthur Ree Murry, Willie Mae Lewis, Wilma Jean Williams, Katy M. James, Blondia Johnson, all of Fort Meade; brothers, Edward Johnson, Timothy Johnson, both of Fort Meade; five grandchildren.

LAKE WALES -- Mr. Richard Johnson Sr. of Lake Wales died of lung failure Tuesday (April 19, 2005) at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home in Zephyrhills. He was 89.
Born in Madison on July 29, 1915, he came to Lake Wales from there 63 years ago. He was a gardner for Waverly Growers. He was a member of Mount Calvary CME Church in Lake Wales where he was a trustee, steward and choir member.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Murdis Johnson. He is survived by his daughters, Gloria J. Johnson, Lake Wales, Faye Hairston, Winter Haven; sons, Richard Johnson Jr., Michael A. Johnson, both of Lake Wales; sisters, Loratta Franklin, Madison, Ida Jones, Tampa, Mary Plamer, Wesley Chapel; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Allen Temple AME Church in Lake Wales. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the church.
