WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Gerald Allen Holler of Winter Haven died of leukemia Tuesday (April 19, 2005) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 68.
Born in Distant, Pa., on Dec. 23, 1936, he came to Winter Haven from East Liverpool, Ohio, 19 years ago. He was a boilermaker and welder in steel construction. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Apostle and Prophet Ministry in Auburndale.
Mr. Holler is survived by his wife, Margaret H. Holler; sons, Allen Holler, Lakeland, Darin Holler, East Liverpool, Ohio, David Holler, Denver, Pa., Paul Holler, Procterville, Ohio; daughters, Kerri Holler Holland, Winter Haven, Laurie Holler Kelly, Lisbon, Ohio; sisters, Louella Wright, Rhoda Miles, both of Ellwood City, Pa., Carol Shultz, New Castle, Pa.; brother, Tom Holler, Ellwood, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
PHILLIP GOUGH, 49

LAKELAND -- Mr. Phillip A. Gough of Lakeland died of cancer Tuesday (April 19, 2005) at home. He was 49.
Born in Toccoa, Ga., on Dec. 9, 1955, he came to Lakeland from Indianapolis in 1996. He was an accountant for Max Pak. He graduated from Indiana University. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was a Methodist.
Mr. Gough is survived by his son, Glenn Gough, Tampa; daughter, Molly Gough, Gainesville; parents, Madonna and Joseph Gough, Peoria, Ill.; sisters, Lynda Coffey, Frankton, Ind., Patty Peterman, Acklawaha, Melaine Waldschmidt, Metamora, Ill.
Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church.

HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Earlene "Lynn" Gilbert of Haines City died of multiple organ failure Monday (April 18, 2005) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 75.
Born in Colquitt, Ga., on Oct. 8, 1929, she came to Haines City from there 48 years ago. She was a citrus worker. She was formerly a cook for the Polk County School Board. She was a member of Full Gospel Church of Jesus.
Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Gilbert Sr. She is survived by her sons, Jessie McIntyre, Lakeland, Johnny Gilbert Jr., Auburndale; daughters, Geanie Moore, Lakeland, Debra Phillips, Sandra Mills, both of Haines City; brother, Andrew Benton, Haines City; sisters, Vinelly Miller, Colquitt, Juanita Reeves, Seaville; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Claude Holmes Sr. Memorial Chapel, 601 Claude Holmes Sr. Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Mark AME Church, 826 N. Eighth St., Haines City.

LAKELAND -- Mr. Richard Paul Hiatt of Lakeland died from complications of cancer Monday (April 18, 2005) at the Highlands Lake Center. He was 83.
Born Dec. 26, 1921, in Swayzee, Ind., he came here from Bloomington, Ind., more than 50 years ago. He was a certified public accountant. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. He graduated from the University of Indiana. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland.
Mr. Hiatt is survived by his wife, Merle M. Hiatt; son, David Hiatt of Lakeland; daughter, Jan Hancock, Lilburn, Ga.; stepdaughter, Cheryl Hill of Winter Haven; stepson, Richard Carter of Lakeland; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this afternoon from 4 to 6 at Heath Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday.

DAVENPORT -- Mr. Henry Joseph Helbling of Davenport died of COPD Wednesday (April 20, 2005). He was 76.
Born Oct. 6, 1928, in Philadelphia, he came here from Pennsylvania in 1974. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Auxiliary during World War II. He worked in hotel maintenance for Howard Johnson. He was a Catholic.
Mr. Helbling is survived by his son, Larry Helbling, New Castle, Del.; daughters, Diane Helbling, Lansdale, Pa., Judy Truesdale, Lester, Pa., Margarete Fraser, West Grove, Pa., Barbara DiPilla, Kirkwood, Pa., Denise Denning, Exton, Pa.; sister, Alberta Hoffman, Hot Springs, S.D.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

PLANT CITY -- Mr. William "Ed" Carter of Plant City died of heart failure Saturday (April 23, 2005) in Plant City. He was 67.
Born May 7, 1937, in Tallahassee, he came here from there 12 years ago. He was a deputy sheriff in Hillsborough County. He was a member of Community Masonic Lodge 292, Egypt Temple Shrine and York Rite.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Pat Carter; son, Eddie Carter, Florida; daughters, Stacy Muralt, Plant City, Debra Carter, York, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Haught Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

ST. PETE BEACH -- Mrs. Jean I. Fraser of St. Pete Beach died of complications from Alzheimer's disease Friday (April 22, 2005). She was 80.
Born Oct. 17, 1924, in Nashville, Tenn., she was a former resident of Lakeland before moving to St. Pete Beach in 1961. She was a nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg for 17 years. She was a Christian.
Mrs. Fraser is survived by her husband, Lewis L. Fraser; son, Gary Fraser, St. Pete Beach; daughters, Dena Widdel, Vista, Calif., Sue Fraser, Havana, Calif.; sister, Dorothy Jacoby, Lakeland; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.

WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. James H. Lowery of Winter Haven died of cancer Saturday (April 23, 2005) at Good Shepherd Hospice Residential Center, Auburndale. He was 81.
Born July 27, 1923, in Burnt Swamp, N.C., he came to Winter Haven from Bartow five years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a vault installer for Chuck's Burial Vaults for six years and Woodard Vault Service of Tampa for more than 18 years. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife, Martha Lowery; sons, Gaston Lowery, Bartow, Al Lowery, Winter Haven; daughters, Vicki Carter, Jane White and Brenda Franson, all of Bartow, Mary Sue Kemp, Winter Haven; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
