Ada Virginia Mabus, 77, Warner Robins, Ga., died Oct. 25, 1998, at her home. She was born in Sunbury, Pa., and she was a former St. Augustine resident. While in St. Augustine she was active with Girl Scouts. All together, she worked with Girl Scouts for over 62 years, and she was cookie chairman for 27 years. She was church secretary at Faith Lutheran Church for many years, and she wrote a column for the Warner Robins Daily Sun for many years. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Macon. Friends may call at McCullough Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, and a prayer service will be said during the Tuesday visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pleasant Hill Road, Warner Robins, Ga. 31093.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Green and Bonnie Mabus, both of Warner Robins; and a son, Robert I. Mabus Jr., Elizabeth City, N.C. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Thelma Taylor, 89, 75 Lovett St., died Oct. 23, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Helen Williams, 62, 300 E. Oak St., Palatka, died Oct. 20, 1998, at Columbia Putnam Medical Center, Palatka. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.
Samuel Andrews
Elder Samuel J. Andrews, 74, Palatka, died Oct. 22, 1998, at Putnam Community Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born in Oakfield, Ga., and he was a lifelong resident of Palatka. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, and he received the APTO medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, and in 1963, under the pastorate of the late Elder D.R. Berry, he was licensed as a minister. Upon Elder Berry's death in 1975, Elder Andrews became pastor of the church, serving for 21 years. He also served as chairman and was later appointed as superintendent of the Palatka District, COGIC, in 1990. In addition he traveled as an evangelist, conducting services throughout the First Coast, including St. Augustine. He was also a retired civil service employee who worked for 20 years at the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, with Superintendent Johnny Shaw, pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, presiding. Burial will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, 624 N. 9th St., from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Tabor church until the hour of services.
The cortege will assemble at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at 804 N. 20th St.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lee Andrews, Palatka; two daughters, Sharon Andrews, Brenda Radazzo; two sons, Harold and Bernard Andrews, Medford, N.J.; a sister, Julia M. Andrews-Parker, St. Petersburg; one brother, Willie Lee Andrews, Palatka; a stepson, Elder David E. Richardson, Gainesville; 25 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Memorial services for Elizabeth Calhoun will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Calhoun, who was involved in many church and community organizations, was also known for her care and support of youth in the community.

Casimer Kucharczyk
Casimer C. Kucharczyk, 85, St. Augustine, died Oct. 29, 1998, at Flagler Pines Nursing Home, Bunnell. He was born in New Britain, Conn., and he was a member of the Cathedral Parish.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Mr. Kucharczyk was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Kucharczyk.
Survivors include one daughter, Joanne Michaud, Bakerbrook, New Brunswick, Canada; two sons, Casimer Kucharczyk, Kensington, Conn., Thomas Kucharczyk, St. Augustine; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Edward Langham
Edward Carilie Langham Sr., 73, died Oct. 28, 1998. He was a distinguished Navy veteran, having served in World War II, Korean and Vietnam, and he and his late wife, Bertha, were former St. Augustine residents.
Funeral services were to be held at noon today at West Harpeth Funeral Home, Nashville, Tenn., with the Rev. Denny Shepard officiating. Burial was in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, with full military honors.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Langham was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Dawn Langham.
Survivors include sons, Edward Carilie Langham Jr., Mark C. Langham, Kingston Springs, Tenn.; sisters, Sylvia McCullar, Estelle Few, both of Water Valley, Miss.; Jean Melton, Grenada, Miss.; and one granddaughter.

Dean Moorhouse
Dean O. Moorhouse, 81, Ocala, died Oct. 29, 1998, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Ill. He had resided in Ocala for the past eight years, and he was a former St. Augustine resident. He was born in Lewiston, Ill. A former principal of R.B. Hunt Elementary School and a former science teacher at St. Augustine High School, he received his bachelor's degree in education from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Ill., and his master's in education administration at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, obtaining the rank of commander, and he was serving on the USS Maryland during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He also served in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ocala, and he also held membership in the Elks Lodge No. 829 and the Lions Club of St. Augustine.
Graveside rites will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with military honors at graveside.

Dorothy Pollock
Dorothy Miller Pollock, 57, Riviera Beach, died Oct. 27, 1998. She was born in St. Augustine, and she had resided in Riviera Beach since 1963. She was the daughter of the late Freddie and Hazel Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Masters officiating.

Rhett David Sapp, infant son of Terry and Dawn Sapp, died Oct. 28, 1998, in Flagler Hospital.

Danal Williams
Danal Rayvon Williams, 20, Hastings, died Oct. 23, 1998. He attended Hastings Elementary, Sebastian Middle and St. Augustine High schools, and he was baptized at Pompey's Temple Church of God in Christ at an early age. Later, he worshiped at the Refuge Church of Our Lord, Palatka.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lord's Temple Church, with Bishop John McNair, pastor of Refuge Church of Our Lord, Palatka, officiating. Schubert Luke
Schubert I. Luke, 86, St. Augustine Beach, died Oct. 29, 1998, at his home. He was born in Panama City, and he had resided here since 1994. He was retired from the city of Los Angeles, Calif., where he had worked for as a fireman for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.

Harley Dilworth Head Jr.
Harley Dilworth Head Jr., 57, of St. Marys, Ga. and St. Augustine, died Oct. 30, 1998, at his residence in St. Marys of an extended illness.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1941, in Waverly, Ga. In 1970, he started his own business with small stores selling pecans and fruit along Highway 17 in Camden and Glynn counties, and grew the business to include retail stores, wholesale operations and an outdoor sign company. At the time of his death, he maintained a home in St. Augustine where he was a member of Shores United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Waverly United Methodist Church in Waverly, Ga. Friends may call Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m., the Edo Miller-Dekle-Wainwright Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lee; two children, Harley D. Head III and Teresa Griffin, St. Augustine; his mother, Madalyn Head, Waverly, Ga.,; two sisters, Barbara Faison and Bonnie Stouffer, both of Waverly; and four grandchildren.

Dora W. Stabel
Dora W. Stabel, 83, of St. Augustine, died Oct. 30, 1998, at Mariner Health Care Center. A native of McDowell County, N.C., she came to St. Augustine in 1937. She was a homemaker and a house parent at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Hope Emery and Betty Reyes, both of St. Augustine; two sons, Lewis Stabel, Charlotte, N.C., and Lowell Stabel, Dalton, Ga.; two sisters, Alma Dale, Marion, N.C., and Stella McLean, Stanley, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ralph B. Kimbrough Sr.
Ralph B. Kimbrough Sr., professor emeritus of educational leadership at the University of Florida, died on Oct. 30, 1998. He was 76.
After receiving his doctorate from the University of Tennessee in 1953, Dr. Kimbrough had a distinguished academic career that spanned more than 40 years. He was the author of several professional books and articles, and provided leadership in the area of politics of education.
After his retirement from the University of Florida, he taught at East Tennessee State University and Georgia Southern University.
Professor Kimbrough is survived by his wife, Gladys; son, Ralph Jr.; and two grandchildren, Rachel and Andrew.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date in Spring City, Tenn. with the Vaughn Funeral Home in charge. Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.

Funeral services for Joseph Thomas Brown, 37, Hastings, who died Oct. 19, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center, Jacksonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Outley, pastor of Church on the Rock Ministries, officiating.

Margaret Triay
Margaret B. Triay, 79, Elkton, died Oct. 20, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East, following a brief illness. She was born in Espanola, and she was a lifelong resident of St. Johns County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hastings.
Funeral services were held today at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hastings, with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial was in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
