Francis Brown
Francis Lorenzo Brown, 94, St. Augustine, died Nov. 9, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. He was born in Trenary, Mich., and he had resided here for the last four years. He retired after 36 years as a research engineer for the Cadillac Division of General Motors. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Engineering, and he was a member of Good Shephard Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orange Park.
Survivors include two sons, Donald F., Flagler Beach, Stanley T., St. Augustine; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, is in charge.

Marion D'Andrea
Marion Elizabeth D'Andrea, 73, St. Augustine, died Nov. 9, 1998, at the Earl B. Hadlow Center, Jacksonville. She was born in Ozone Park, N.Y., and she had resided here since 1963. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Mooney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 5 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Barbara) Mathison, West Palm Beach, Mrs. Daniel (Judy) Barnes, St. Augustine.

Mildred Donofrio
Memorial services for Mildred A. Donofrio, St. Augustine, who died Nov. 5, 1998, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, San Marco Avenue, with the Rev. Robert Baker officiating.

Betty Frankel
Betty Arlene Frankel, 73, St. Augustine, died Nov. 6, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. She was born in Providence, R.I., and she had resided here for the past 18 years. She was a retired insurance underwriter, and she was a member of the Riverview Club, the Republican Women's Club and a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Providence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Providence.
Survivors include two sons, George Lonquist, Waldwick, N.J., Richard Lonquist, Coventry, R.I.; and four grandchildren.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Joachim Hubert Sr.
Joachim Louis Hubert Sr., 91, St. Augustine, died Nov. 9, 1998, at Mariner Health Care Center. He was born in Nantes, France, and he owned several hotels and restaurants and had lived in St. Augustine for 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Louise Hubert, a son, Joachim L.R. Hubert Jr., both of St. Augustine; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Private services are planned. Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Donald Wilson
Funeral services for Donald W. Wilson, 62, Houston, Texas, who died Nov. 6, 1998, in Houston, will be held at a later date in Elk Neck, Md., the home of his grandparents and a place he often visited.
Mr. Wilson was a former resident here, having operated a construction business in St. Johns County before moving to Houston several years ago.
He was the father of the late Donnie Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, one daughter, Jeanne Rabena, both of Houston; his mother, Alice B. Wilson, St. Augustine; a sister, Gail Burr, St. Augustine; one brother, Douglas Wilson, Tuckerton, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

Guy Cooper Jr.
Guy L. Cooper Jr., 91 years and nine months, died Nov. 10, 1998, at BayView. He was the son of the late Guy L. Cooper Sr. and Josephine Lovina (Bruun) Cooper. He was born Feb. 9, 1907, at the family home in Humboldt, Neb., where he lived the first 73 years of his life.
Mr. Cooper attended public schools in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School with the Class of 1923. He was the class president and first elected cheerleader at graduation. He then attended the University of Nebraska, earning his B.A. degree in 1927. He was a member of the Alpha Theta Chi Fraternity, which later joined the national Chi Phi Fraternity. He was alumni chairman for the fraternity from 1974-82.
Mr. Cooper returned to Humboldt and joined the family business, the O.A. Cooper Company, eventually becoming president, chief executive officer and board chairman. He was involved in many trade organizations, serving as president of the Midwest Feed Manufacturers Association and the Nebraska Association of Locker Plants and Feed Processors, as well as serving for six years on the board of the American Feed Millers Association.
Mr. Cooper was united in marriage to Evelyn Mae Kerr on Nov. 22, 1928, at the Presbyterian Manse in Humboldt, by Willard Randolph. To this union was born two children, Guy L. Cooper III and Prudence Ann.
Mr. Cooper had involvements in politics, having served as president of the Consumers Public Power District and Nebraska Public Power District. He served as chairman of the Richardson County Republican Central Committee and was an alternate delegate to the 1944 Republican National Convention in Chicago and a full delegate to the 1972 Democratic National Convention in Miami.
His civic involvements in the Humboldt area included serving as president of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce and the Bruun Memorial Library. He was king of the Richardson County Free Fair in 1967-68 and received the key to the city from Mayor Wilbur Boss. In 1977, the Nebraska Public Power District decided to honor Mr. Cooper and his father by naming their new nuclear plant in Brownville the Cooper Nuclear Station in recognition of the distinguished leadership both provided to public power in Nebraska. He was six years on the president's advisory council of Peru State College and the chancellor's advisory committee of Kansas State University for the School of Feed Milling Technology.
Mr. Cooper owned and operated several farms in the Bird City, Kansas, area, where his family has owned farmland since 1890.
Mr. Cooper sold the O.A. Cooper Company to Central Soya on Aug. 1, 1980. He and his wife retired to St. Augustine in 1982. He decided to continue his education and enrolled in Flagler College, where he earned another B.A. in 1984, at the age of 79. He remains Flagler College's oldest graduate.
In retirement he was a member of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John and Charles, and daughter, Prudy.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, St. Augustine; son, Guy III and his wife, Alison, Cambridge, England; sister, Calista Hughes, Humboldt; three granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Robert Baker, pastor of Christ the King Parish, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the family section of Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt, Neb. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 6 to 8 p.m., today, and prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at Craig chapel.
Flowers are gratefully declined.

Donald Jordan
Donald Jordan, RPA, 70, Switzerland, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, after a seven-months battle with a rare virus.
``He fought a good fight and his battle is won....''
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Hephzibah Cemetery, Dixie Union, Ga. The Rev. John W. Harrington and the Rev. Patrice Spencer will officiate.
His wife, Mary Lois Pagett, whom he wed Jan. 28, 1949, survives him.
Don was the baby of 13 children born to Alec Randel and Corean Boyette Jordan in Ware Co., Georgia.
Other survivors are two brothers, J. Foster Jordan (Dorothy) and A.R. Jordan (Hilda); two sisters, F. Lucille Davis (Thurman) and N. Laverne Patterson, all who reside in Dixie Union, Ga.
He has numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews in Jacksonville. Among them are M. Monroe Jordan (Evelyn), Lonnie E. Jordan (Christa), J.W. (Jim) Jordan (Tina), Kenneth M. Jordan, Ronnie R. Jordan (Sandi), Linda Faye Greene (David), DeAwna Wallace (Phil), William L. Purvis (Jacki), Evanell Turner, Okilee Killen.
Godsons: Matthew Jordan Barker, Thomas Cody Edenfield, Jason Sean Bogin, Timothy Brian Robertson, A.J. (Jerry) Edenfield, Philip B. Allen, R. Bradley Allen (Pam).
God daughters: Deborah Dawn Edenfield, Rene Sue DeGoursey Lown (Eric), Katherine Peabody DeGoursey (Mark).
Residing in White, Ga., are Dale B. Kissick (Kate), Jason W. Kissick and A. (Drew) R. Kissick.
Many other family members reside in the Dixie Union area.
Also surviving Don are the two ``other women'' in his life: Floe E. DeGoursey (Mrs. Leo R.) and Sandra L. Mixon (Mrs. J. Dallas.)
Pallbearers in Jacksonville will be his Godsons: Donald J. Mixon, J.D. (Jim) Mixon Jr., Mark A. DeGoursey, Gary L. DeGoursey and their fathers, J. Dallas Mixon Sr. and Leo R. DeGoursey.
Pallbearers in Dixie Union will be his nephews Larry W. Davis, Ronnie R. Davis, Wilbert J. Turner, Wayne Boland, Jerry Peace and J.W. (Jim) Jordan.
Don moved to Jacksonville in 1947 and worked for Adams Venetian Blind Company. He was drafted, but chose to join the Navy and served from 11/51-11/55. Last rate earned was AE1. He served in ATU501 at NAS, Corpus Christi, Texas.
When he and Mary returned to Jax, he went to work for Fairchild Aircraft in St. Augustine and then joined Prudential in Feb. '58 in the machine repair department.
He wore many hats in his 34-year Pru career. Don was the first fire marshal for SCHO and scripted the first fire safety rules for the building. He also created the first Van Pool Program. He was in charge of security. When he retired in Feb. '92, he was the leasing consultant for both the Pru home office buildings.
Immediately after retirement, Don threw his hat in the political ring and was elected county commissioner, district one, St. Johns County, in Nov. '92. He had an outstanding four-year term and was instrumental in bringing the World Golf Village to St. Johns County. He started the work to secure a permanent home for the Switzerland Fire Department. He also began the plans to turn the old scallop plant in Orangedale into a recreation center for that area.
He was chairman of the Board of County Commissioners Nov. '95-'96.
He served on many projects between Duval and St. Johns counties, as he worked to bring the counties closer together. He served on Mayor John A. Delaney's Cecil Field Development Comm. in 1997. He served on the Jacksonville Southbank Redevelopment Association, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Citizens Advisory Commission for the replacement of the I.W. Acosta Bridge, the Fuller Warren Bridge and connecting roadways, and the widening of the Buckman Bridge.
He was a past member of the Jacksonville Trans. Authority (JTA). His latest position was properties manager for the Mandarin United Methodist Church.
Don was active in his church, the chamber of commerce, Republican Party of St. Johns County, past president of the Friends of the Library and past president of the Switzerland Community Association and president emeritus of the Switzerland/Grove Bluff Neighborhood Association.
He was on the board of Hospice Northeast. Don was a founding member of the Society of Real Property Administrations when he earned his designation of RPA in 1977 from BOMA - Building Owners and Managers Association. He graduated from Jacksonville University in '73 with a B.S. degree, major in management. He also held a degree in electronics engineering.
Don served as a volunteer fireman with the Hogan Springs-Glen Station for many years. He received the Mimi and Lee Adams Environmental Award and also was awarded the first Prudential Orville E. Beale award for community leadership in 1977. He was a charter member of the Top of the Rock Toastmasters Club of Pru. He also had been a 20-year member of the Duval County Sheriff's Speakers Bureau.
Don's family will receive friends today and Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd. No viewing at the church. Interment services in Georgia will be handled by the Music Funeral Home, Waycross, Ga.
Lunch will be provided in Georgia for those who attend the interment service.
Flowers will be well received. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Capitol Fund of the Mandarin United Methodist Church.
Food is gratefully declined.
Thank you so much for all the cards, calls, offers of help, visits, prayers, good deeds and food that have been received since Don's health problems began on Jan. 5, 1998.

Willie Dunlap
Funeral services for Willie Dunlap, 87, 7185 CR 208, who died Nov. 10, 1998, at the St. Augustine Rehabilitation Center, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at at the church from 1 p.m. today until the hour of services.
The cortege will assembly at 936 W. King St.

Daniel Gillespie
Daniel F. Gillespie, 82, St. Augustine, died Nov. 12, 1998, at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and he moved to St. Augustine in 1979. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, and he was retired from the New York City Transit Authority. He was a founding member of the Little Neck-Douglaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and he was a lifetime honorary member of St. Augustine Volunteer Fire Station No. 5. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion, and a member of VFW, DAV, Third Degree Knight, Knights of Columbus; and a CCC Alumni, having served from 1937-40.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at San Sebastian Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Walsh officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.Friends may call at Croyle Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Gillespie, and one son, John Gillespie, both of St. Augustine.

Annie Holtz
Funeral services for Annie Mae Holtz, 79, Holtz Street, Hastings, who died Nov. 8, 1998, at Flagler Hospital, following a long illness, will be held at today at the Lord's Temple Church, Hastings, with the Rev. Jeremiah Steward Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. today until the hour of services.
Coleman's Mortuary is in charge.

Marvin Lewis
Funeral services for Marvin ``Banner'' Lewis, 49, Fort Lauderdale, who died Nov. 9, 1998, at his home,will be held at 1 p.m. today at New St. James Baptist Church, with Elder Frank Watkins delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will assemble at 50 N. Clay St.

Robert Neidhart
A memorial service for Robert Gerard Neidhart, 77, St. Augustine, who died Nov. 11, 1998, at his home, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with his brother, Father William Neidhart officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086.

Renzie Dillard
Renzie B. Dillard, 80, St. Augustine, formerly of Jacksonville and Hollywood, died Nov. 11, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. He was born in Scottsville, Ky., and he had resided in St. Augustine for a short time. He was a retired grocery store manager, and he was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. S. Dwight McQueen, pastor of the First United Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the American Cancer Society, POB 5355, St. Augustine, 32085.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; three daughters, Evelyn Rae Hord, St. Augustine, Edna Mae Deckard, Danville, Ind., Bonnie Sue Deckard, Jacksonville; two sons, Thomas Leroy Dillard, Greenwood, Ind., Richard Arvina Dillard, Janesville, Wis.; two sisters, Doris Ann Wise, Greenwood, Ind., Anna Clyo, Plainfield, Ind.; one brother, James Dillard, Barbersville, Ind.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Willie Dunlap, 87, 7185 CR 208, died Nov. 10, 1998, at the St. Augustine Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Barrets, Ga., and he had resided here for the past 60 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Picolata.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., today, and at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
The cortege will assembly at 936 W. King St.
Survivors include two brothers, Eddie Reed and Price Reed, St. Augustine; and other relatives.
