Robert Stanley Hess, 48, St. Augustine, died Nov. 24, 1998, at his home. Born in State Island, N.Y., he had lived in St. Augustine for six year, was a merchant seaman and was of the Catholic faith.

Ramoth Greer Roberts, 58, St. Augustine, died Nov. 27, 1998, at her home. Born in Union, S.C., she had lived in St. Augustine since 1980, and was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Women's Association.

Leonard Weaver
Leonard Benjamin Weaver, 53, of 692 W. King Street, St. Augustine, died Nov. 24, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. He was a member of the St. James Baptist Church, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Florida Education Association, Florida Teachers Association, Classroom Teachers Association. His last duty assignment was at Gamble Rogers Middle School.
Survivors include four daughters, Ella Johnson, Vickki Weaver, Lenora Weaver, all of Quincy, Fla., Lettia Henry, Jacksonville; three sisters, Barbara Haynes, Vonnie Weaver, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jacqueline Harris, St. Augustine; one granddaughter and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at St. James Baptist Church, with the Rev. Nathaniel Jackson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at Chase & Son Funeral Home.
Edward France
Edward Joseph France, 74, St. Augustine, Fla., died Nov. 25, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. He was born in Millvale, Pa., and had resided in St. Augustine for the past 15 years. He was retired from heavy equipment sales. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he was an usher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rene Robert officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Barbara Ann Nichols, 59, St. Augustine, died Nov. 26, 1998, at Shands Hospital, Gainesville. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and had lived in St. Augustine for the past 13 years. She was a retired bookkeeper.

Fredrick Thomas Hnatiw, 51, St. Augustine, died Nov. 26, 1998, at his home. He was born in Lansing, Mich., and had resided in St. Augustine since 1979. He was retired from the Anastasia Water Department, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Vietnam.
Private services are planned.
Survivors include his parents, John F. and Betty J. Hnatiw, St. Augustine, and one sister, Susan Hnatiw, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Robert Leak
Robert Edward Leak, 74, St. Augustine (Basshaven), died Nov. 28, 1998. A native of Lawtey, he was a member of St. Johns Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville and retired after 30 years with the Jacksonville Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, shrimping and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Trudie; his son, Robert E. Leak Jr., Hot Springs, Ark.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Helm Funeral Home with the Rev. S.E. O'Brian officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., at Helm Funeral Home, Green Cove Springs.
Martha Lucas
Martha Lucas, 82, of Union Town, Pa., died Nov. 25, 1998, in the University of Pittsburg Medical Center. She was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Saberton, W.Va., the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Gagrely Zozac.
She was a member of the Amalgamated Textile Union, a former employee as a seamstress for Michael Berkowitz and a member of the Amvets #103.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Lucas in 1993; two sisters, Julia Molnar and Perose Lampton.
She is survived her four children, Robert C. Lucas Jr., Mayfield Heights, Ohio, Judy M. Kiefer, Gettysburg, Pa., Paul C. Lucas, Union Town, Pa., and Martha R. Lucas, St. Augustine; a sister, Mrs. Sylvester Margaret Turner, Morgantown, W.Va.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the James D. Barnett Funeral Home, 196 W. Main St., Union Town, Pa., today 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 with the Rev. William Rodahaver officiating. Burial will be at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Toni Darden
Toni M. Darden, 99, Palatka, died Nov. 26, 1998, at Palatka Health Care Center, following a short illness. She was born in Belle Settlement, Fayette County, Texas, and she and her family moved to the Weigel Farm in Elkton, and in 1931, settled in Palatka where she soon became an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. During World War II, she served with the Ground Observer Corps as an aircraft observer, and she also was a volunteer with the Red Cross. She had worked at the election polls in Putnam County for over 40 years and was an honorary life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3349 and a member of Chapter No. 33, Order of Eastern Star. She was an avid bridge player and teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Darden Sr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Palatka, with the Rev. Bob Bronkema officiating. Burial was in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Hospice of North-Central Florida, 3204 Crill Ave.,, Palatka, 32177.
Survivors include two sons, William E. ``Bill'' Darden Jr., John D. ``Jack'' Darden, both of Palatka; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Kelly Sessions
Kelly Marie Sessions nee Stines, in an untimely departure on Nov. 27, has now joined her heavenly Fathers. Born on Oct. 31, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kelly spent the last 27 years in Jacksonville. Married to Kevin, she is survived by her son, Matthew Jonathon; her mother, Midge Stines; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Wendy Stines; devoted in-laws, Carson and John Sessions; and many loving family members.
With the loss of her big heart, even bigger smile, warm personality and quick wit, Kelly will leave a huge void in the lives of all those who knew her and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Although Kelly would certainly never say no to a good piece of jewelry, for she was the most precious jewel of all, the family welcomes flowers.
