Frances M. Dean, 80, St. Augustine, died Feb. 20, 2000, at her home. A gathering of friends is planned from 5-7 p.m. today at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Private burial services will take place at a later date.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a donation, in her memory, to Community Hospice Northeast, 1955 U.S. 1 South, Suite D3, St. Augustine, 32086.

Evelena Martin
Evelena Edith Martin, 61, 695 Julia St., died Feb. 17, 2000, at Flagler Hospital, following an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, and she was a member of St. Luke AME Church. She attended local schools, and she was employed at the former Fullerwood Elementary School as a food server for more than five years.
Her father, Joseph Martin, and mother, Retha ``Honey'' Martin, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke AME Church, 694 Pearl St., with the Rev. James McGriff, pastor, and Elder Early Brown, eulogist, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, following the family hour at 4 p.m. Calling hours at the church, Saturday, are from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
The family will assemble at 520 Brevard St., Saturday.
Survivors include daughters, Debra O. Martin, Jacksonville, Forrest Ann Martin, St. Augustine; son, Carleton V. Martin, Eagan, Minn.; a sister, Joycelyn Martin, St. Augustine; brothers, Theodore, Eddie Lee, Harold Lee Martin, all of St. Augustine; Andre L. Martin, Jacksonville; five grandchildren and other relatives.

Curtis Morris
Curtis Morris, 66, St. Augustine, died Feb. 19, 2000, at his home. A gathering of friends is planned from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Private burial services will be held at a later date.

Judith Richmond
Judith Laura Lyden Richmond, 60, St. Augustine, died Feb. 18, 2000, at Flagler Hospital. She had resided here since 1976, moving to St. Augustine from Connecticut. She was extremely active in Special Olympics and Catholic Charities, and she was a member of Cathedral Parish.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Lyden II.
Survivors include a son, William F. Lyden III, St. Augustine; a daughter, Kathy Gauthier, Hyde Park, Mass.; her mother, Helen M. Thompson, St. Augustine; two brothers, Paul V. Hunt Jr., Bedford, N.H., John J. Norton Jr., Beverly, Mass.; a sister, Kathleen Moore, St. Augustine; three grandchildren and other relatives.
Croyle Funeral Home is in charge.

Willie Spates
Willie Spates, 78, 21 Lovett St., died Feb. 15, 2000, at Flagler Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born in Orlando, and he had resided in St. Augustine for the past 17 years. He was of the Baptist faith, and he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by a son, Otis Spates.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. John D. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, and from 9 a.m. Friday until the hour of services.
Friends and family will assemble at 21 Lovett St. Friday morning.
Survivors include one son, Robert Spates, Orlando; a godson, Samuel V. Preston, St. Augustine; and other relatives.

Danny P. Fraser
Lt. Col. Danny P. Fraser, 71, St. Augustine, senior ROTC instructor at St. Augustine High School for 18 years, died April 23, 2000, at Ponce de Leon Care Center. Born in Brownsville, Texas, he was a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and played varsity football there for four years, participating in the Sun Bowl two consecutive years. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and he was designated a Distinguished Military Graduate of the ROTC program there and commissioned a second lieutenant in the Tank Corps in 1951.
He was also a graduate of the Advanced Armored Officers Course and the U.S. Command and General Staff College, and he served in Austria, Korea, Vietnam and various stateside assignments. His military command time included commanding five tank companies, two battalions, and he was deputy commander of the Lightning Brigade. Among his decorations and awards were the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He also received the Patrick Henry Medallion for Patriotic Achievement from the Military Order of World Wars and the Minute Man Award from the National Guard for dedicated service from 1976-94.
Completing 25 years of active duty, he retired at Fort Knox, Ky., in 1976. When he retired from St. Augustine High School, the school system named the ROTC complex in his honor.
A resident of St. Augustine for 25 years, he was active in Elks Lodge No. 829, and he was a member of the American Legion, USO and MOWW. He was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Parish.
In recognition of his service to the community, he was knighted some years ago by the Easter Festival.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Batkin, rector of Trinity Episcopal Parish, officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5-8 p.m., today, and Elks services will be held there at 7 p.m. today.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to the Council on Aging, 11 Old Mission Ave., St. Augustine, 32084, or to Community Hospice Northeast, 1955 U.S. 1 South, Suite D-3, St. Augustine 32086.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Patricia Ann Daley; three children, Susan Sanford, Radcliff, Ky., Daniel Fraser, Tish McMahon, both of St. Augustine; and two grandchildren, Daniel McMahon, St. Augustine, and Sarah Sanford, Radcliff.

Joseph Hiers
A memorial mass for Joseph P. Hiers, 71, St. Augustine, who died April 20, 2000, at his home, will be held at 9 a.m. today at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with the Rev. William C. Mooney, pastor, officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to VFW No. 2391 building fund, 6184 U.S. 1 South, St. Augustine, 32086.

Thomas Lynch Jr.
Funeral services for Thomas Joseph Lynch Jr., 83, St. Augustine, who died April 20, 2000, at Flagler Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.

Mario Miglietta
Mario Alfred Miglietta, 71, Elkton, died April 24, 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, with Msgr. Vincent Haut officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park.
Mr. Miglietta was predeceased by his son, James Miglietta, in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce A. Miglietta; a son, John P. Miglietta and his wife, Beth; three stepsons, Stephen Reinheimer and his wife, Linda; John H. Reinheimer and his wife, Denise; and Robert J. Reinheimer; stepdaughter, Kathy Gutierrez and her husband, Andy; two brothers, Louis Miglietta and his wife, Toni; Richard Miglietta and his wife, Margie; a brother-in-law, Michael Silvano and his wife, Lynn; an aunt, Ida Balducci; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many countless friends in the grocery business from New York and Florida.

Gladys Schill
Funeral services for Gladys E. Schill, 84, St. Augustine, who died April 20, 2000, at Flagler Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Kerry G. Hinkley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Memorial Lutheran Church building fund or to the music ministry, 3755 U.S. 1 South, St. Augustine, 32086.

Mary Vanderford
Mary Carlota Goode Vanderford died April 22, 2000, in Seattle, Wash. She was a native of St. Augustine, the daughter of Obe Byng Goode, and she was a member of the Sanchez family of St. Augustine. She graduated from the University of Florida, and she was active in the community and with her church. She worked in both Marietta, Ga., and in Seattle.
Funeral services are planned in Marietta.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Vanderford, a son, Scotty, Marietta; one daughter, Amy Ullom, Seattle; a sister, Jill Osborne, South Carolina; one brother, Byng Gilchrist Goode, Miami; five grandchildren and other relatives.

Emily Bush
Emily V. Bush, 84, St. Augustine, died May 1, 2000, at Flagler Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.

Barbara Drackett
Barbara Drackett, 79, Federal Point, died May 4, 2000, at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton. Arrangements will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.

Randolph Hampton Sr.
Randolph ``Mackie'' Hampton Sr., 64, St. Augustine, died May 1, 2000, at his home, following a brief illness. He was born in Green Cove Springs, and he had resided in St. Augustine since his early childhood and spent his early years here. He then moved to Fort Myers and returned to St. Augustine in 1977. He was a member of St. Mary's Baptist Church, serving on the usher board, and he was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 194. He was retired from Wise Potato Chips, Borden Snack.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Baptist Church, with the Rev. Isaac Davis, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, at 1 p.m. Monday, with full military honors at graveside.
Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m., today, and at the church from noon Saturday until the hour of services.
The family will assemble at 6255 Armstrong Road, Elkton, at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Hampton, Aliquippa, Pa.; two sons, Charles R. Hampton Jr., Armstrong, Randy Hampton, Bowie, Md.; his mother, Rosa Lee Jones, St. Augustine; brothers, Elmo Hampton Jr., Curtis Hampton, Gainesville; sisters, Dorothy Hampton Evans, Groveland, Lillie Dodson, Mary Moore, Elnora Hampton, Sharon Hampton, Gainesville, Rejoyce Hampton, Colorado Springs, Col.; eight grandchildren and other relatives.

Virginia Warner
Virginia Warner, 79, St. Augustine, died April 27, 2000, at Flagler Hospital. She was born in Camilla, Ga., and she was the wife of the late Deacon James Warner. He died Nov. 6, 1999. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and served on Usher Board No. 1 and the Missionary Society.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at the Church of God in Christ, with Elder E.A. Kelley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5-6:30 p.m today.
Survivors include three daughters, Margie Turner, Yvonne Warner, Janie Kelley; one brother, Robert Bennett; a sister, Johnnie Mae Glover; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. All reside in St. Augustine.

Sam Wolfe
Sam Henry Wolfe, 63, St. Augustine, died May 4, 2000, at his home. He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., and he had resided in St. Augustine since 1989. He was the founder and owner of Wholesale Carpet, better known as the purple building on San Marco Avenue, and he was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the St. Johns Golf Course.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with Johnny Clayton of the St. Augustine Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m., today.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to the St. Augustine Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Alene; a daughter, Kelly Brock, Joliet, Ill.; two sons, Patrick A. Wolfe, John R. Wolfe, both of St. Augustine; a daughter, Debra White, Cape Coral; two sons, Joe Holsonback, Atlanta, Ga., Derick Holsonback, Pensacola; 8 grandchildren: Chelsea and Ian Greenwalt, Joliet, Alexandra White, Cape Coral, Jennifer, Brittany, Stephanie Holsonback, all of Atlanta, Brandon and Heather Holsonback, both of Pensacola.

M. Elaine Martin, 73, Leesburg, died May 16, 2000. She was born in Peoria Heights, Ill., and she was a retired school bus driver. She had lived in Leesburg since 1961, and she was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a member of the Holiday Squares Square Dance Club.
Survivors include her husband, Dick Martin, Leesburg; daughters, Joyce Elaine Tubb, Lakeland, Christine A. Mikulas, Orlando, Deborah J. Knieriem, Fruitland Park, Colleen Rush, St. Augustine, Melissa Dettmering, Orlando; one brother, Ralph Hursey, Fruitland Park; two sisters, Jessie Dempsey, Tavares, Thelma Toliver, Idaho; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Christopher Washington, pastor of A-Level Christian Community Church. The infant died May 13, 2000, at Flagler Hospital.
