Franklin W. Hunt, 84, formerly of St. Augustine, died June 3, 1997, at the home of his daughter in Atlanta. He was a civil engineer, and he was the former director of Public Works for St. Augustine from 1959-65. While residing in St. Augustine, the Hunts were members of Grace United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy, Atlanta; three sons, James M. Hunt, St. Augustine, David K. Hunt, Fort Myers, Franklin W. Hunt Jr., Sarasota; two daughters, Sandra Hunt Graham, Judy Marie Hunt, both of Atlanta; a brother, James Bernard Hunt, Bonifay; and four grandchildren.
The Cremation Society of the South is in charge.

Funeral services for Phyllis June Peterson, 72, St. Augustine, who died May 30, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Kerry G. Earl Eiserman
Earl Eiserman, 87, St. Augustine, died June 3, 1997, in Flagler Hospital, following an extended illness. He was a longtime resident of Glen St. Mary, and a member of Souls Harbor Church of God there.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; daughters, Shirley Nordan, Ethel Louise Eiserman; and sons, John Henry and John Edward Eiserman.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Souls Harbor Church of God, Glen St. Mary, with the Rev. Wilford Lyons and the Rev. James Scott officiating. Burial will be in Manntown Cemetery, Baker County.

Joseph Carinhas Sr.
Joseph E. Carinhas Sr., 60, Slidell, La., died June 4, 1997, at his home. He was born in St. Augustine.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Patterson, La. Burial follows in St. Joseph Cemetery, Patterson.
Mr. Carinhas was the son of the late John Santos Carinhas Sr. and Frances Tringali Carinhas.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Boynt Carinhas, Slidell; five sons, Michael E. Carinhas, Slidell, Joseph E. ``Jody'' Carinhas Jr., Morgan City, La., James P. Carinhas, Patterson, Timothy J. ``T.J.'' Carinhas, Charenton, La., John S. Carinhas III, Slidell; a daughter, Denise C. Carinhas, Lacombe, La.; two sisters, Anne C. Broussard, Patterson, Diane C. Austin, Albemarle, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.

Clifton Collier
Clifton Collier, 70, died June 2, 1997, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, following a long illness. He had worked as a mental health aide for many years before retirement, and he was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Jerusalem Baptist Church. Burial followed at Calvrine Cemetery.
He was the husband of the late Margaret Collier.
Survivors include two daughters, Myra Brown, Corman, N.Y., Carol Donaldson, Hastings; and two sons, Eric Brown, Corman, Lonnie Donaldson, St. Petersburg.

Dr. James Hodgins
Dr. James R. Hodgins, 77, Mt. Pleasant, Mich., died May 30, 1997, at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, Mich. He was born in Decatur, Ind., and he was an English professor emeritus at Central Michigan University. He was a graduate of CMU, and he was also a former high school and junior college teacher. He was associated with the CMU English department from 1938 until his retirement in 1981. After his retirement, he and his wife, Mary Jane ``Sally'' Hodgins, traveled extensively in Europe and spent winters in St. Augustine.
Memorial services were held Monday at Sacred Heart Church, Mt. Pleasant.
Those wishing may make a donation, in his memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Betty Post, St. Augustine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sister Marie Conroy
Sister Marie Antoinette Conroy, SSJ, 87, died June 6, 1997, at Lourdes Hall, home for the infirm and retired Sisters of St. Joseph. She was born in Butte, Mont., but moved to County Mayo, Ireland, at the age of 7. In 1925, she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in St. Augustine. She taught in elementary schools throughout the state of Florida, including St. Joseph Academy here. From 1965-1988 she taught at St. Theresa School in Coral Gables.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sisters of St. Joseph Convent, 241 St. George St. A vigil prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Convent. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to the Sisters of St. Joseph Development Fund, P.O. Box 3506, St. Augustine, Fla. 32085, to be used for the works of the sisters and the sisters in retirement.
Survivors include a cousin, Father Martin Cassidy, pastor of Assumption Catholic Church in Pompano Beach.

Thomas Kinton
Thomas Owen Kinton, 55, Riverchase, Ala., died June 3, 1997, in Helena, Ala. He was the former manager of the J.C. Penney Company in St. Augustine, and also served with Penney's in High Point, N.C., and Birmingham, Ala., and he was the charter president of the Sertoma Club of St. Augustine.
He was a member of Riverchase United Methodist Church, he was an active supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, the Emory Alumni Association and Phi Delta Theta.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Riverchase United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Kinton; a daughter, Allison Kinton, Riverchase; one son, Damon Everette Kinton, Seattle, Wash.; his father and stepmother, Ralph Everette and Helen Kinton, St. Petersburg; and a brother, Kyle K. Kenton, Atlanta, Ga.

Lawrence Summerall, 31, died June 8, 1997, at Flagler Hospital, following a long illness.

Earl Mally Sr.
Earl B. Mally Sr., 85, St. Augustine, passed away June 6, 1997. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of 27 years. He served during World War II and was on the U.S.S. Enterprise and the U.S.S. Brooklyn. He was also a civil servant at NAS JAX, where he retired after 44 years of combined service.
He was a member of the Riverside Masonic Lodge No. 266, a 50-year member of Scottish Rite of Free Masonry; a 33rd degree Mason, a member of the Morocco Temple and a life member of the Morocco Wrecking Crew. He belonged to American Legion Post No. 137, Voyageur 215, 40&8, the Fleet Reserve Association and the Orange Park Elks Lodge No. 2605 as a charter member, past trustee and honorary life member.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie E. Mally.
Survivors include two sons, Earl B. (Claudia) Mally Jr., Martin I. (Pattie) Mally, all of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Travis B., Marta L. and Melissa F. Mally; and one great-grandchild, Kameron L. Mally.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 1997, at Rivermead Funeral Home, 950 Park Ave., Orange Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Orange Park Elks Lodge No. 2605 building fund, 5920 Collins Road, Jacksonville. 32244.
Francis Conley
Francis G. Conley, 80, 1121 Dorado Drive, St. Augustine Shores, died June 8, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Lewiston, Maine, where he was owner of Conley Funeral Home for many years. He came to St. Augustine in 1980 from Lewiston. He was a member of the Riverview Club.

James Norvin "Jim" Godman, 81, St. Augustine, died June 8, 1997, at Hospice Northeast Earl B. Hadlow Center, Jacksonville, following a long illness. He was born in Sanders, Ky., and he had lived in Warren, Mich., for 49 years before moving to St. Augustine in 1991. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, and he was a lifetime member of the Metropolitan Detroit Masonic Lodge No. 519.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Acacia Park Cemetery, Birmingham, Mich.

Orrella Lillian Dowling, 65, St. Augustine, died June 10, 1997, at her home. She was born in Whitefish, Mont., and she had resided here for the past 30 years.
She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and she was of the Catholic faith.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeannie Fagans, a son, Robert O. Dowling, both of St. Augustine; one sister, Dorothy Lozier, Mariposa, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
