Funeral services for Vernon L. Reynolds, 37, State Road 13 North, who died Nov. 4, 1999, in Clay County, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial follows in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Orangedale. The Rev. Johnny Bryant is Mt. Olive pastor, and he will assist the Rev. G. Gary Smith, who will officiate. Friends may call at the church from noon today until the hour of services.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Reynolds; his father, Whitt Reynolds, Orangedale; a son, Vernon Reynolds; one daughter, Sharnise Stephens; five sisters, Rosalind Johnson, Dinetha Reese, Angela Cotton, Valerie Reynolds, Michelle Reynolds; three brothers, Whitt Jr., Reginald and Keith Reynolds; and other relatives.

Jennie Shaw
Jennie L. (Brooks) Shaw, 88, Hampton, N.H., died Nov. 11, 1999, in Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, Canada, and she was the wife of the late Harold M. Shaw. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, North Hampton, and she belonged to the Ladies Union and the North Hampton Woman's Club. For many years, she wintered in St. Augustine, where she attended Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Circle 2 of the United Methodist Women.
She and her husband worked in a printing business in Arlington, Mass., and in North Hampton until her husband's death in 1979.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Remick and Gendron Funeral Home, 8112 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial follows in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Mass.
Those wishing may make a donation, in her memory, to the Portsmouth Regional Home Care and Hospice, 95 Albany St., Portsmouth, N.H.
Survivors include a daughter, A. Lorraine Blake, Stratham, N.H.; two sisters, Audrey Holt and Clare Chase, Lexington, Mass.; and one granddaughter.

Melanie Stewart
Melanie M. Stewart, 94, St. Augustine, died Nov. 11, 1999, at Flagler Hospital. She was a native of St. Augustine, and she was one of 10 children born to Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Mickler. She was a 1923 graduate of St. Joseph Academy and a 1926 graduate of St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing, Jacksonville.
She and her late husband, W.G. Stewart, lived in Washington, D.C., and Castleberry, before returning to St. Augustine in 1986. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Seamus O'Flynn, pastor of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 5 p.m. Monday at Craig chapel, and friends may call at Craig chapel until 8 p.m.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 2131 Mango Place, Jacksonville, 32207.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret Pichard, Tallahassee; and a brother, Florence ``Gator'' Mickler, St. Augustine. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.
James Warner
Funeral services for James Warner, 77, Akins Street, who died Nov. 4, 1999, at his home, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Elmancie Kelley of the St. Augustine Church of God in Christ officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from noon today until the hour of services.

Margaret Bruyn
Margaret Leslie Bruyn, 84, of St. Augustine, died Nov. 26, 1999. Born in Whitestone, N.Y., and having moved to St. Augustine six years ago from Kissimmee, she was a hooked rug designer and homemaker. Her friends knew her as a self-taught scholar. She spent many years of her life working with the Division of Blind Services, serving as the VIP chairperson.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
She is survived by two sons, Steven D. Bruyn and David B. Bruyn, both of St. Augustine.

Robert James
Robert Roosevelt James, 93, of 70 Palmer St., St. Augustine, died Nov. 27, 1999, at Community Hospice Northeast Florida in Jacksonville. He was a local businessman. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.
Cathlene Denny
Cathlene Susan Denny, 49, died at her home at Vilano Beach, Florida, on Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, following a seven-year battle with breast cancer. Cathy was the daughter of Donald Dorsey and Della Francis Hackney Denny of Dayton, Ohio, where she was born on Oct. 19, 1950.
She received a B.A. in English from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, in 1972, and an M.Ed. in reading from the University of Florida in 1977. She had lived in Florida for the past 25 years and had taught in the Alachua County School System at Valencia Community College and most recently served for more than 10 years as a professor of reading and communications at St. Johns River Community College in Palatka and St. Augustine.
She was a member of the Florida Developmental Education Association (FDEA), the Florida Association of Community Colleges and the American Cancer Society. She co-founded the Breast Cancer Support Group in St. Augustine. She also served as the advisor for the Viking Horn and a chairman for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. She received the 1999 FDEA Outstanding Florida Educator Award.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Dorsey Denny; a brother, Robert Edward Denny; and a niece, Kirsten Kumler.
Survivors are her husband, Larry Clark, St. Augustine; her mother, Della Francis Hackney Denny, Dayton, Ohio; three brothers and their wives, Ron and Kay Denny; Byron and Cory Denny; Alan and Lisa Denny; and two sisters, Judy Kumler, and Peggy and Milo Nobel, all of the greater Dayton area; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Rheba Clark of Cincinnati; her brother-in-law and wife, Donald and Mary Clark of New Mexico; and her sister-in-law and husband, Roberta and Mike Hoffman of New Jersey; and 13 nieces and nephews, Mark and Brigid Kumler, Benjamin and William Kumler, Andrea and Bob Denny, Sean and Alex Denny, Kelly and Zach Noble, Adam and Amanda Clark and Olivia Hoffman; and in her own words, ``the best friends in the world.''
Memorial services will be held at Castle Otttis on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Arrangements will be handled by Craig Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring in St. Augustine (824-3735) or the St. Johns River Community College Foundation for the Cathlene S. Denny Writing Awards (904-312-4102).
Dennis Mullane
Dennis ``Denny'' Joseph Mullane Jr. died Nov. 25, 1999. He was born in Staten Island, N.Y., on Aug. 8, 1925, and had lived in Jacksonville since 1977. Mr. Mullane served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, and he had retired from a career in sales. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie E. Mullane. Survivors include his sons, Dennis J. Mullane III (Brooks), Greensboro, N.C.; Kevin M. Mullane (Wanda), Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Elias Mullane (Kristin), Elizabeth, Madeline and Emily Mullane, Dana Miller, Jason Connell, Jennifer Hooks; great-grandsons, Scott and Alex Miller; brothers, Joseph Mullane (Ann), of New Jersey; and his twin brother, Harold W. Mullane Sr. (Helen) and their son, Harvey Mullane, St. Augustine; and mother-in-law, Anna Madeline Hall, Virginia Beach, Va. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at 9:30 a.m. in the Old St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Fr. Daniel Cody, celebrant. Interment will be in Westminster Gardens Cemetery, Greensboro, N.C. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Naugle Funeral Home, 1203 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville.

Funeral services for Sylvia Lee Jackson, 84, Jacksonville, who died Dec. 29, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendly Baptist Church, 1721 W. 19th St., Jacksonville, with the Rev. Larry W. Monor, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m,. today, and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Sister St. Mark
Funeral services for Sister St. Mark Klieber, SSJ, who celebrated her 100th birthday Dec. 19 and who died Dec. 30, 1998, at Lourdes Hall, home for the infirmed and retired Sisters of St. Joseph, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel of St. Joseph Convent. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. A vigil prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Convent chapel.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the Sisters of St. Joseph Development Fund, to be used for the needs of the retirement home and the ministries of the Sisters.
