Irene Middleton, 79, Tallahassee, died June 9, 1997 in Tallahassee. She was born in Burlington, Vt., and she had resided in Tallahassee since 1945. She served under eight governors of the state as an administrative assistant in the office of the governor for Florida; and she also served n the Women's Army Air Corps during World War II at Eglin Air Force Base. She was a member of the Seminole Baptist Church, and she also held membership in the Professional Secretaries Association of Tallahassee.
Graveside services were to be held at 3 p.m. today at Culley's Meadow Wood Memorial Park, Tallahassee.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, 32308.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Alvin Middleton, Tallahassee; two daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Wharton, Thomasville, Ga., Susan Harrison, St. Augustine; two brothers, Stewart Tucker, Schenectady, N.Y., Charles Middleton, Tallahassee; and a sister, Dorothy Ann Middleton, Tallahassee. Five grandchildren also survive.
Charles Moore
Charles Eugene Moore, 50, St. Augustine, died June 9, 1997, at his home. He was a native of St. Augustine, and he was an educator and administrator for the St. Johns County public school system for 24 years.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Edward Booth officiating. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ann Moore, St. Augustine; daughters, Jenny Marie Moore, Gainesville, Molly Tonia Moore, St. Augustine; a son, Joseph Martin Moore, St. Augustine; his father and stepmother, William and Ivy Moore, St. Augustine; one sister, Carroll Dorothy Brown, and a brother, Glenn Earl Moore, both of St. Augustine.
Lawrence Summerall
Lawrence "Penny-Boy" Summerall, 31, died June 8, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, following a long illness. He attended Hastings High School and did farm work.
He was the father of the late Joycelen Summerall.
Survivors include three daughters, Sha-kia Willis, East Palatka, La'tisha and Lawrencia Summerall, both of Hastings; his parents, Willard Summerall Sr., Martha Summerall, Hastings; two sisters, Martha Verdell, Flagler Estates, Felica Summerall, Hastings; and four brothers, Willard Summerall Jr., Armstrong, Rodney, Eddie and Clarence Summerall, all of Hastings.
Arrangements will be announced by Coleman's Mortuary.
Inez Urban
Inez Urban, 61, died June 9, 1997, at the Ponce de Leon Care Center, following a long illness. She was a homemaker, and of the Catholic faith.
Services were held at 9 a.m. today at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Cora Lee Baldwin, 89, 1052 W. King St., died June 4, 1997, at her home. She was born in Elba, Ala., and she had resided here since 1954. She was a member of St. Luke Alpha and Omega Holiness Church.

David J. Hyland, 84, 992 Dorado Drive, St. Augustine Shores, died June 10, 1997, at his home. He was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, and he came to St. Augustine in 1979 from Cheshire, Conn. He was a retired comptroller for the Duracell Battery Company, Waterbury, Conn., and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and of the St. Augustine Shores Country Club.
Services and burial will be in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.

Allen J. Frazier Jr., 52, Irvington, N.J., died June 10, 1997, at his home. He was born in St. Augustine, and he had resided in Irvington for more than 30 years. He was a 1962 graduate of Richard J. Murray High School, and he was a self-employed master electrician. He was a former member of Zion Baptist Church.

Clarence Abraham Odom, 74, 96 Keith St., died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in Backville, S.C., and he had resided here since 1981. He was a member of St. Mary's Baptist Church, and he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, having served for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Clarence Odom, Sarasota; a sister, Dorothy Ford, St. Augustine; one brother, Hammond Odom, St. Augustine; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and other relatives.

Helen Ownes
Helen Josephine Le Bon Ownes, 80, St. Augustine, died June 12, 1997, at the St. Augustine Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Trenton, N.J., the daughter of the late Marvin and Julia Le Bon, and she worked for the city of Trenton for 30 years. She resided in Yardville, N.J., until moving to St. Augustine in July 1995 to live with her daughter. She was a member of the Be-Bop Cruiser Car Club, Freehold, N.J., and St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at Buklad-Yardville Funeral Home, Yardville, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in St. Augustine.
Mrs. Ownes was the wife of the late Trenton Police Lt. Henry ``Hank" Ownes.

William Tripp Browning, 72, Elkton, died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Libertyville, Ill., and had resided in Elkton since 1932. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was involved in the Easter Festival and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Buron Kline
Buron "Smokey" Kline, 84, Elkton, died June 13, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He moved to the area from Miami in 1973. He was a master welder and a teacher in Dade County. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, the Elks Lodge and Drift Around Squares Squaredancers.
