Irene Middleton
Irene Middleton, 79, Tallahassee, died June 9, 1997 in Tallahassee. She was born in Burlington, Vt., and she had resided in Tallahassee since 1945. She served under eight governors of the state as an administrative assistant in the office of the governor for Florida; and she also served n the Women's Army Air Corps during World War II at Eglin Air Force Base. She was a member of the Seminole Baptist Church, and she also held membership in the Professional Secretaries Association of Tallahassee.
Graveside services were to be held at 3 p.m. today at Culley's Meadow Wood Memorial Park, Tallahassee.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, 32308.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Alvin Middleton, Tallahassee; two daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Wharton, Thomasville, Ga., Susan Harrison, St. Augustine; two brothers, Stewart Tucker, Schenectady, N.Y., Charles Middleton, Tallahassee; and a sister, Dorothy Ann Middleton, Tallahassee. Five grandchildren also survive.

Charles Moore
Charles Eugene Moore, 50, St. Augustine, died June 9, 1997, at his home. He was a native of St. Augustine, and he was an educator and administrator for the St. Johns County public school system for 24 years.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Edward Booth officiating. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ann Moore, St. Augustine; daughters, Jenny Marie Moore, Gainesville, Molly Tonia Moore, St. Augustine; a son, Joseph Martin Moore, St. Augustine; his father and stepmother, William and Ivy Moore, St. Augustine; one sister, Carroll Dorothy Brown, and a brother, Glenn Earl Moore, both of St. Augustine.

Lawrence Summerall
Lawrence "Penny-Boy" Summerall, 31, died June 8, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, following a long illness. He attended Hastings High School and did farm work.
He was the father of the late Joycelen Summerall.
Survivors include three daughters, Sha-kia Willis, East Palatka, La'tisha and Lawrencia Summerall, both of Hastings; his parents, Willard Summerall Sr., Martha Summerall, Hastings; two sisters, Martha Verdell, Flagler Estates, Felica Summerall, Hastings; and four brothers, Willard Summerall Jr., Armstrong, Rodney, Eddie and Clarence Summerall, all of Hastings.
Arrangements will be announced by Coleman's Mortuary.

Inez Urban
Inez Urban, 61, died June 9, 1997, at the Ponce de Leon Care Center, following a long illness. She was a homemaker, and of the Catholic faith.
Services were held at 9 a.m. today at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Those wishing may make a donation, in her memory, to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Urban, one daughter, Donna Mace, both of Flagler Estates; and two sons, Joseph Urban, North Carolina, Louis Urban, Fort Lauderdale.
Coleman's Mortuary, Hastings, is in charge.

Cora Baldwin
Cora Lee Baldwin, 89, 1052 W. King St., died June 4, 1997, at her home. She was born in Elba, Ala., and she had resided here since 1954. She was a member of St. Luke Alpha and Omega Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the E.A. Kelley Sr. Memorial Church of God in Christ, with Elder J.W. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, and at the church from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include four daughters, Minnie Kelley, Edna Fay Knighton, St. Augustine, May Foy Forster, Naomi Works, Greenville, Ala.; four sons, Donzell Baldwin, St. Augustine, Edward Baldwin, Omaha, Neb., Azzie Baldwin, Chicago, Carlice Baldwin, East Orange, N.J.; a sister, Tura Kennedy, Jacksonville; 52 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Graveside services for Orrella Lillian Dowling, 65, St. Augustine, who died June 10, 1997, at her home, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at San Lorenzo Cemetery.

David Hyland
David J. Hyland, 84, 992 Dorado Drive, St. Augustine Shores, died June 10, 1997, at his home. He was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, and he came to St. Augustine in 1979 from Cheshire, Conn. He was a retired comptroller for the Duracell Battery Company, Waterbury, Conn., and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and of the St. Augustine Shores Country Club.
Services and burial will be in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Hwy., Suite A, St. Augustine, 32086.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Chappell, Gaithersburg, Md., Teri Kennelly, Cheshire; a sister, Mary Downing, Tarrytown, N.Y.; and two grandsons.

John Sanders Sr.
John Henry Sanders Sr., 70, Penney Farms, died June 4, 1997, at Orange Park Medical Center. He was born in Monticello, and he had resided in the Green Cove Springs area for 69 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Penney Farms.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Haymon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs. Friends may call at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, and at the church from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include a son, John H. Sanders Jr., Penney Farms; his father, Manuel Sanders Sr., Penney Farms; brothers, Leroy Sanders, Manuel Sanders Sr., Green Cove Springs; one sister, Dorothy S. Coleman, Pier Station; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Allen Frazier Jr.
Allen J. Frazier Jr., 52, Irvington, N.J., died June 10, 1997, at his home. He was born in St. Augustine, and he had resided in Irvington for more than 30 years. He was a 1962 graduate of Richard J. Murray High School, and he was a self-employed master electrician. He was a former member of Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Frazier, St. Augustine; a daughter, ShaRhonda Frazier, Irvington; sisters, Barbara Hudson, Morganville, N.J., Ruby L. Lee, Green Cove Springs, Betty Street, Jacksonville, Joyce Lewis, Houston, Texas, Gloria Gatewood, St. Augustine; brothers, Clarence and Frank Frazier, St. Augustine, Willie Frazier, Orange, N.J.; two grandchildren and other relatives.
Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Clarence Odom
Clarence Abraham Odom, 74, 96 Keith St., died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in Backville, S.C., and he had resided here since 1981. He was a member of St. Mary's Baptist Church, and he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, having served for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Clarence Odom, Sarasota; a sister, Dorothy Ford, St. Augustine; one brother, Hammond Odom, St. Augustine; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and other relatives.
Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Helen Ownes
Helen Josephine Le Bon Ownes, 80, St. Augustine, died June 12, 1997, at the St. Augustine Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Trenton, N.J., the daughter of the late Marvin and Julia Le Bon, and she worked for the city of Trenton for 30 years. She resided in Yardville, N.J., until moving to St. Augustine in July 1995 to live with her daughter. She was a member of the Be-Bop Cruiser Car Club, Freehold, N.J., and St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at Buklad-Yardville Funeral Home, Yardville, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in St. Augustine.
Mrs. Ownes was the wife of the late Trenton Police Lt. Henry ``Hank" Ownes.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Patterson, St. Augustine; one sister, Lois Lidicker, Yardville; two brothers, Kenneth Le Bon, Hamilton Square, N.J., Marvin Le Bon, New London, N.H.; and one grandson.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

John Sanders Sr.

Funeral services for Lawrence ``Penny-Boy" Summerall, 31, who died June 8, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, following a long illness, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Hastings, with the Rev. Jeremiah Steward officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at Coleman's Mortuary Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., today, and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.

Minnie Williams
Minnie Marguerite Williams, 87, St. Augustine, died June 12, 1997, at the St. Augustine Health Care and Rehabilitative Center. She was born in Freemont, Ohio, and she had resided here since 1920. She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Arlington Cemetery, Jacksonville, with the Rev. Bill German, pastor of Freedom Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Williams, St. Augustine; three sons, Roger P. Hicks, Jacksonville, A. Delano Hicks, Miami, Carolcq Hicks, St. Augustine; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Cora Baldwin

William Browning
William Tripp Browning, 72, Elkton, died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Libertyville, Ill., and had resided in Elkton since 1932. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was involved in the Easter Festival and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Elkton, with Father Patrick Doody officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ambrose Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5-8 p.m. Sunday; prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to a favorite charity.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Sanchez Browning; two daughters, Dr. Ahn Briwhihg Masrers .1and Cecile Broqning Nssbaul, both of St. Augustine; twi sohs, 5Gerald W. Browning, Cocoa, and 5James E. Browning, Ponte Vedra; two brothers, Louis Browning, Alpha, Ill., and Millard Browning, Elkton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John Gedris
John Joseph Gedris, 78, St. Augustine, died June 13, 1997, at Ponce de Leon Care Center. He was born in Baltimore, Md., and was the manager of a stock brokerage billing department. He was of the Catholic faith.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Craig Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ed Booth, Cathedral Parish, officiating. Friends may call at Craig from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. A private burial will be held in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
Survivors include his wife, Anna, one son, Barry J. Gedris, both of St. Augustine; three grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

James Godman
Memorial services for James Norvin "Jim" Godman, 81, St. Augustine, who died June 8, 1997, at Hospice Northeast Earl B. Hadlow Center, Jacksonville, following a long illness, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Acacia Park Cemetery, Birmingham, Mich.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a donation, in his memory, to Hospice Northeast Earl B. Hadlow Center, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, 32257.

Ruby Harden
Graveside memorial services for Ruby Wicker Harden, 85, who died May 24, 1997, in a Jacksonville hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Cemetery, 505 Rodriquez St. Mrs. Harden was born in Tuscaloosa County, Ala., and she had resided in St. Augustine since 1957. She was a longtime employee of McCartney's Drug Store.
Survivors include a son, James Harden; two sisters, Nina Ortagus, St. Augustine, Edna Sanford, Northport, Ala.; and two grandsons.

Buron Kline
Buron "Smokey" Kline, 84, Elkton, died June 13, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He moved to the area from Miami in 1973. He was a master welder and a teacher in Dade County. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, the Elks Lodge and Drift Around Squares Squaredancers.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Cemetery with Father Patrick Carroll officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to St. Joseph Academy.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Kline, Elkton; a son, Bill Kline, Elkton; two daughters, Rebecca Kline, Miami, and Betty Bergen, Fort Lauderdale; and four grandchildren.
