Funeral services for Lawrence "Penny-Boy" Summerall, 31, who died June 8, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, following a long illness, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Hastings, with the Rev. Jeremiah Steward officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. today until the hour of services.

Joyce Blemaster
Joyce Estelle Blemaster, 72, St. Augustine, died June 13, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Plainwell, Mich., and she had lived here since 1973. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of God. She was the widow of the late Gale ``Pappy'' Blemaster, who died earlier this year.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Craig Funeral Home, with the Rev. LaVoy Newton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
She is survived by six daughters, Gail Rackliff, St. Augustine, Penny Ward, Potterville, Mich., Susan Jolls, Grand Ledge, Mich., Sandra Hall, Holt, Mich., Linda Underwood, Grand Ledge, Mich., and Darla Miloszewski, Key West; five sons, Gary Blemaster, Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert Blemaster, Ovid, Mich., Karl Blemaster, Maple Rapids, Mich., Ken Gardner, Phenix City, Ala.; Frank Schmidt, Jacksonville; five sisters, Clara Belle Spoto, Tampa, Mary Lou Hill and Violet Evans, Eaton Rapids, Mich., Shirley McKenna, Arkansas, and Vivian St. John, Potterville, Mich.; two brothers, Daniel Shinaver, Arizona, and Ralph Shinaver, Dewitt, Mich.; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

William Browning
Funeral services for William Tripp Browning, 72, Elkton, who died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Elkton, with Father Patrick Doody officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ambrose Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5-8 p.m. today; prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today.

Memorial services for James Norvin ``Jim'' Godman, 81, St. Augustine, who died June 8, 1997, at Hospice Northeast Earl B. George Stover
George Edward Stover, 73, St. Augustine, died June 12, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. He was born in North Grafton, Mass., and had lived here since 1941. He was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired refrigeration businessman and the former owner of Stover Refrigeration.
A funeral Mass was will Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Jerry Lambe Officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to the St. Johns Parents Help Association or to the St. Gerard House.
He is survived by his wife, Mary T. Stover; three sons, Michael Edward, David Paul and Raymond Earl Stover; three daughters, Georgia Masters, Linda Newell and Michelle S. Burgess, all from St. Augustine; a brother, Bobby, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Willie Mae Bell
Willie Mae Bell, 67, Orlando, died June 12, 1997, at her home. She was born in Alma, Ga., and she had resided in Orlando since 1939. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Stafford presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Survivors include a daughter, Veronica Johnson, Orlando; one aunt, Lucy Wilson, a sister-in-law, Katherine Twine, both of St. Augustine; an uncle, George Wimbush, Freeport, Texas; and other relatives.

Allen Frazier Jr.
Funeral services for Allen J. Frazier Jr., 52, Irvington, N.J., a former St. Augustine resident who died June 10, 1997, at his home, were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.J. Bryant officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Funeral services for Clarence Abraham Odom, 74, 96 Keith St., who died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Baptist Church, with the Rev. Isaac Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and at the church from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of services.

John Stahl
John A. Stahl, 76, St. Augustine, died June 12, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in New York City, and he had resided here for the past 21 years. He was retired from the New York City police department, having worked as a detective, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during World War II. He was a member of the St. Augustine Shores Country Club, and he was of the Catholic faith.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Long Island, N.Y.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Stahl, St. Augustine; a son, Mark Stahl, New York City; three sisters, Charlotte Corentz, Eleanor Durney, Georgianna Stahl, all of Long Island; and four grandchildren.

Doris Haynie
Doris A. Haynie, 63, died June 15, 1997, in Jacksonville, where, due to illness, she had been residing with her daughter. She was a 25-year resident of St. Augustine.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick T. and Michael E. Smith; a daughter, Barbara Eady; one sister, Virginia Gibson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Philomenia Chiappetta
Philomenia "Phyllis" M. Chiappetta, 68, 203 Argus Road, died June 12, 1997, in Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Stamford, Conn., and she had resided in St. Augustine since 1983. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had graduated from hair dressing school and lived in Darien, Conn., prior to moving to St. Augustine.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, Kings Estate Road, with Elder De Mickler officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur A. Chiappetta Sr., St. Augustine; a son, Arthur ``Chip'' Chiappetta Jr., St. Augustine; one daughter, Sharon Mitchell, Stamford; a sister, Mary Mix, Norwalk, Conn.; and three grandchildren, Christine and Kathy Mitchell, both of Stamford; and Amanda Chiappetta, Fort Lauderdale.
American Family Cremation Society is in charge.

George Stover
George Edward Stover, 73, St. Augustine, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. Mr. Stover was born in North Grafton, Mass., and had resided here since 1941. George was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church and served his country as a veteran in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired refrigeration businessman and former owner of Stover Refrigeration. In his spare time, he enjoyed the dog track and playing poker with his many friends.
He is survived by: his wife, Mary T. Stover; three sons, Michael Edward, David Paul, Raymond Earl Stover; three daughters, Georgia Masters, Linda Newell, Michelle S. Burgess, all of St. Augustine; a brother, Bobby, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 18, 10 a.m. at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Jeremiah Lambe officiating. The location where the family will receive friends will be announced following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in George's memory, to St. Johns Parents' Help Association or to the St. Gerard House.

Hattie Lee Bates, 77, 117 M.L. King Ave., died June 17, 1997, at the St. Augustine Geriatric Center. Arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Philomenia Chiappetta
Memorial services for Philomenia M. Chiappetta, 68, 203 Argus Road, who died June 12, 1997, in Flagler Hospital East, will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, Kings Estate Road.

Cordelia Irvin
Cordelia Martin Irvin, 91, Espanola, died June 16, 1997, at Memorial Flagler Hospital, Bunnell. She was born in Gay, Ga., and she had resided in Espanola since 1925. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ, and she was secretary of the church and mother of the church. She was secretary of the St. Augustine district and an evangelist of the Church of God in Christ Inc. She was a missionary and served on the missionary board, and she was Sunday School superintendent. She served for many years as a midwife in St. Johns, Flagler and other nearby counties.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of God in Christ, Bunnell. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, and from 1 p.m. Sunday until the hour of services.
Survivors include one daughter Queenie Jackson, Espanola; three sons, Saul Irvin, Espanola, Timothy Irvin, Miami, Walter Irvin, Gainesville; a brother, Columbus Martin, Fort Pierce; one sister, Katherine Baxley, Espanola; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Charles Ortagus
Charles Ignatius Ortagus, 89, St. Augustine, died June 17, 1997, at his home. He was born in Bayard, and he was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and he was a foreman for 15 years at Marineland of Florida. He was a member of Cathedral Parish.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Terry Smith, associate pastor of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, officiating. Burial will be in Sampson Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Ortagus; three daughters, Lorraine Clifton, Ormond Beach, Barbara ``Bobbi'' Hall, Betty Smith, both of St. Augustine; two sons, Ralph W. and Russell L. Ortagus, both of St. Augustine; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Hattie Lee Bates
Hattie Lee Bates, 77, 117 M.L. King Ave., died June 17, 1997, at the St. Augustine Geriatric Center. She was born in Blackville, S.C., and she had resided here since 1938. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Mozel K. Moore, Lucille Elmore, both of St. Augustine, Gwendolyn Y. Bates, Winter Park; four sons, Arthur, Larry and Carl Bates, all of St. Augustine, Frankie Bates, West Palm Beach; three brothers, Ernest Myers, Brooklyn, N.Y., Millard Odom Sr., Plant City, Arthur Odom, Pine Grove, Ky.; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Dr. John Cunio
Dr. John F. Cunio, 67, Coral Gables, a noted specialist in kidney diseases who developed many dialysis procedures and who is credited with founding the first dialysis center in St. Augustine in the mid 1980s, died June 15, 1997, at his home. He was a native of Miami, and he was also a team physician for the University of Miami Hurricanes and a physician, according to a story in The Miami Herald, ``who still made house calls.''
Dr. Cunio was named the UM football team specialist in internal medicine in 1983, under head coach Howard Schnellenberger, and remained with the team through the championship years of Jimmy Johnson, Dennis Erickson and current coach Butch Davis.
He was a graduate of Washington University, St. Louis, Mo., and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from the University of Miami Medical School in 1958, and did his internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He taught medicine at UM from 1967-75, was president of the medical staff at Jackson in 1970 and served as chief of nephrology at Mercy Hospital from 1987-89 and from 1994 to the present.
Memorial services are planned next week. Those wishing may make a donation, in his memory, to the Kidney Foundation of South Florida, 2645 SW 37th Ave., Miami 33133.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, Steve; his mother, Evelyn Cunio, all of Coral Gables; one daughter, Susan Cunio Salem, Boston, Mass.; a brother, Philip Cunio; and two grandchildren. St. Augustine survivors include two cousins, Bob and Earl Cunio.

Doris Haynie
