Funeral services for Nancy Marie Cothron, 74, St. Augustine, who died Sept. 13, 1997, at her home, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Jeremiah Lambe officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, and friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to Hospice Northeast, 1400 Old Dixie Highway, Suite A, St. Augustine 32086.
Mrs. Cothron was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine. She was a very active member of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, where she was a member of the choir. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, and she attended the University of Miami Conservatory and the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Md. She was a member of the Friendship Club, was a founding member of the St. Augustine Ballroom Dance Association, and she was a member of the St. Augustine Recreation Club.
Survivors include her husband, William; three daughters, Laverne Smith, Sequin, Texas, Mary Mills, St. Augustine, Christine Yatrousis, Miami; four sons, William Cothron Jr., Alvord, Texas, Joseph, James and Laurence Cothron, all of St. Augustine; sisters, Marion St. Petery and Laverne Alexander, St. Augustine; a brother, Matthew Powers; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Hubert Wood
Hubert J. Wood, 67, St. Augustine, died Sept. 15, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in Hamilton, Ala., and he had resided here for the past 13 years. He was a retired supervisor for the Ford Motor Company, and he was a member of Anastasia Baptist Church. He also held membership in Gideons and the Men's Sunday School Class at Anastasia Baptist.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Anastasia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ron Moore, pastor, officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a donation, in his memory, to the Anastasia Baptist Church building fund, 1650 A1A South, St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Wood, St. Augustine; a daughter, Carol Ann Smedley, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sons, Kenneth Joseph Wood, Jacksonville, Gary David Wood, Ashland City, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Thompson, Tuscumbia, Ala., Pat Gerdes, Dearborn, Mich.; one brother, Phillip D. Lee Matthews
Lee Carolyn Matthews, born June 30, 1920, in Port Washington, L.I., N.Y., passed away Sept. 15, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was a resident of St. Augustine since 1933, and she was retired from Woolworth where she worked as the stock room manager. She was a volunteer at Crookshank Elementary for over 10 years where she was a member of the 200 club, and for a number of years was a top volunteer in the county. She was of the Catholic faith.
Following a private memorial service, the family will receive friends at 6:30 p.m. today at the home of Jan Long, 4792 Avenue D, St. Augustine. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the Humane Society, 1665 Old Moultrie Road, St. Augustine, 32086, or to a favorite charity.
The family that survives her celebrates her life. They are her husband, Henry Matthews; four daughters, Sandra Usina and her husband, Jeepee; Carol Grubbs, Linda Brooks, Jan Long and her husband, George, all of St. Augustine; grandchildren Eric Usina and his wife, Rhonda; Renee Pedersen and her husband, Keith; Katherine Green, Shelly Grubbs, Chuckie Woods, Pam Woods, Donnie Brooks and his wife, Rhonda; Kenny Brooks, Christopher Long and his wife, Cortney; Carrie Horn and her husband, Michael; Micki Gandy and her husband, Phillip; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jodi, Russell, Dylan, Anastasia, Amanda, Michael, Angela, Tiffany, Phillip and Lea.

Erline Edwards
Erline (Georgia) Edwards, St. Augustine, died Sept. 17, 1997, at her home. She was born in Andalusia, Ala., and she had resided here for the past 50 years. She was a retired school teacher, having served in the St. Johns County public schools, and she was a member of Anastasia Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Anastasia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ron Moore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Johnson, St. Augustine; a sister, Sue Helms, Auburn, Ala.; and one grandson, Grant Kephart, St. Augustine.

Tanya King
Tanya Rochelle King, 16, St. Augustine, died Sept. 16, 1997. She was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, and she was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Tom Adams, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating, assisted by Pastor Lois Turner, Pentecostal Revival Center. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include her mother, Debora King, Sarasota; her father, Randall J. King Sr., St. Augustine; paternal grandmother, Joan King, maternal grandmother, Janice Thompson, a sister, Randi G. King, all of St. Augustine; two brothers, Silas L. King, St. Augustine, Randall J. King Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.; and other relatives.

William Miller
William C. Miller, 74, St. Augustine, died Sept. 16, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in New York City, and he had resided here since 1978, having moved here from Shrewsbury, Mass. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II, and he was a life member of Matthew Whittall Masonic Lodge.
Private family services were held today at the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Miller, St. Augustine; two daughters, Suzanne Brewer, Shrewsbury, Christine Arnold, St. Augustine; four sons, William S. Miller, Savannah, Ga., Robert C. Miller, Earlville, N.Y., Jeffrey McDonald, Jackson Hole, Wyo., Gregory McDonald, Davidson, N.C.; one sister, Maude K. Dumper, Leicester, Mass.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Rev. Mason Smith
The Rev. Mason Lonnie Smith, 82, St. Augustine, died Sept. 16, 1997, at his home. He was born in Shinnston, W.Va., and he had resided here since 1990. He was a minister of the Baptist faith, and he was a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, the Northern Baptist Seminary, Chicago, and Bradley University, Peoria, Ill. He was the assistant pastor of the Liden Baptist Church, Chicago, and he served as pastor of Cain Baptist Church, Cain, Ill.; the Second Baptist Church, Peoria; Farmersville Baptist Church, Farmersville, N.Y.; Wilson Baptist Church, Wilson, N.Y.; and he built the Community Baptist Church in Cheektowaga, N.Y., where he was the pastor for 11 years until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the New York Church Extension Committee under the Home Mission of the American Baptist Association.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ancient City Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Northcutt, pastor, officiating. Committal services follow at St. Augustine Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call at Ancient City Baptist Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia K. Smith, St. Augustine; two daughters, Sharon Knerr, Norman, Okla., Andrea Davidson, Aurora, Col.; and three grandchildren.

Hazel Blackwell
Hazel Masters Blackwell, 89, Elkton, died Sept. 18, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was a lifelong resident of St. Johns County, and she was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Survivors include one son, Bernard Blackwell, Elkton.

Betty Causey
St. Augustine, died Sept. 20, 1997, at St. Augustine Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She moved here from Washington, D.C., and had been a long-time resident. She was a cartographic engineer for the U.S. government, and she was a member of Independent Bible Church.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Chuck Lichtenberger officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Independent Bible Church on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to Missionary Nancy Snell through Independent Bible Church, 3150 U.S. 1 South, St. Augustine, Fla. 32086.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel R. Causey Jr., St. Augustine; a son, Samuel E. Causey Sr., Birmingham, Ala.; a grandson and a great-grandson.

A.W. Tindall
A.W. "Fritz" Tindall, 72, St. Augustine, died Sept. 20, 1997, at his home. He was born in Sunbeam, Fla., and was a life-long resident of St. Augustine. He was a retired self-employed fisherman, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a member of VFW #2391, and he was of the Catholic faith.
Private services are planned.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Tindall, St. Augustine; sisters, Patricia White, Augusta, Ga., and Charlotte Thompson, Orlando; and a brother, J.D. Tindall, St. Augustine.

Margaret Frances Smith, St. Augustine, died September 19 at Flagler Hospital West. She was native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine.

She is survived by her daughters: Rosalind Lundell, St. Augustine and Arden Jaudon, Boston, Kentucky. 3 Grandchildren.

Anabel Anthony
Anabel Anthony, 74, Keystone Heights, died Sept. 21, 1997, at her home, following a short illness. She was born in Perry, moving to Keystone Heights in 1946 from Gainesville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, having served as organist for 30 years and as a Sunday school teacher for 50 years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ray McKendree and the Rev. Buddy Friedlin officiating. Burial will be in Forest Meadows East, Gainesville. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home, 340 E. Walker Drive, Keystone Heights, from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a donation, in her memory, to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry, 550 E. Walker Drive, Keystone Heights, 32656.
Mrs. Anthony was the wife of the late A.E. "Bud" Anthony.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Meehan, Sherri A. Anthony, both of St. Augustine, Pamela A. Capos, Keystone Heights; and three grandchildren.

Lillian Rivers Dillhyon
Lillian Rivers "Sunny" Dillhyon, 91, St. Augustine, died Sept. 21, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was born in Leno, Fla., and she moved to Jacksonville in 1936 and to St. Augustine in 1962. She was a former member of the Mill Creek Homemakers Club and the Garden Club, and she was a member of Ancient City Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Carmichael officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Restlawn Cemetery, Jacksonville. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Arnold; one son, Lawrence Dillhyon, both of St. Augustine; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Katherine Hull
Katherine Webb Hull, 96, St. Augustine, died Sept. 21, 1997, at her home. She was born in Williamston, Mich., and she had resided here since 1939. She was a member of Trinity Chapel Ministries.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Michigan. Gorseline- Runciman Funeral Home is in charge.

Robert Smith Jr.
Robert Franklin Smith Jr., 71, Greensboro, N.C., died Sept. 21, 1997, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro. He was born in Halifax County, Va., and he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed contractor, and he was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harmony United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harvey Warnick officiating. Burial will be in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Alton, Va. Friends may call at Brooks Funeral Home, South Boston, Va., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.

He was the husband of the late Millicent Hall Smith.

Smith, Julian, N.C.; two daughters, Carolyn Smith Merritt, Mary Smith Johnson, both of Greensboro; a sister, Mae Smith Hennis, Orange, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mary Streeter
Mary Elizabeth Turner Streeter, 72, Crescent Beach, died Sept. 17, 1997, at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., and she was a retired school teacher and had resided in Crescent Beach since 1985, when she bought and restored the beach house of author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. She served on the board of trustees of the Whitney Marine Laboratory, and she was a member of the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Society, the Caldecott Society and Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a donation, in her memory, to Whitney Marine Laboratory, University of Florida, 9505 Ocean Shore Blvd., St. Augustine, 32086.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Berg Streeter, Carbondale, Ill., Ruth Rogers Streeter, M.D., Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Thomas Turner Streeter, M.D., Marion, Mass.; one brother, Walter Turner, Madison, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
