Ann Nina Leone, 70, St. Augustine Beach, died early today at her home.
Mrs. Leone was the daughter of the late George and Fannie Leone. She was preceded in death by one son, Frank G. Leone.
Survivors include her husband, Frank J. Leone, St. Augustine Beach; one daughter, Debra Ann Kresge, a son, Ronald J. Leone, both of St. Augustine; a sister, Catherine Pica, Arlington, Texas; four brothers, George Leone, Fort Worth, Texas, John Leone, Warnerville, N.Y., Gerard Leone, Deerfield Beach, Richard Leone, East Chesterfield, N.Y.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Joseph Francis Murphy, 74, St. Augustine, died Oct. 7, 1997, at St. Luke's Hospital, Jacksonville. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and he had resided here since 1990. He was a veteran having serving in World War II as a paratrooper, and he was a former owner and operator of a flower shop. He was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church.

Sophie Samoluk Rakowski, 77, St. Augustine, died Oct. 7, 1997, at her home. She was born in Florence, N.J., and she had resided in St. Augustine since 1982. She was a member of the St. Johns County Council on Aging, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Polish-American Post No. 3257 Ladies Auxiliary, and she was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Rakowski, and a son, Joseph Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Sibert, St. Augustine, Doris Dill, Warwick, Md.; a son, Paul Rakowski, St. Augustine; one brother, John Samoluk, Bear, Del.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Shellie LaPradd Jr.
Shellie Wendell LaPradd Jr., 76, a former St. Augustine resident, died Oct. 2, 1997, in Dade County. Born in St. Charles, Ky., he moved to St. Augustine with his family, but left here at age 15 to join President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Civilian Conservation Corps. He was sent to Nevada, where he helped build the Hoover Dam. Later he was transferred to Ocala, where he helped plant the Ocala National Forest. At age 17, he returned to St. Augustine and graduated from Ketterlinus High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and he also worked for Suburban Gas Company in St. Augustine for 10 years, while playing minor league football for the Blackhawks. He moved to Miami in 1959 and began working for Tropigas, a propane company. He is best known today in South Dade for converting gasoline pump engines to liquid propane. He also helped farmers with frost protection. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, helping build the church and serving for many years as a deacon. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Homestead, a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church, 14401 Old Cutler Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, in his memory, to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 3443 N.W. 55th St., Building 7, Fort Lauderdale, 33309.
