Clayton Myers
Clayton Edward Myers, 66, Jacksonville, died Nov. 1, 1997, at his home. He was born in Walker County, Ala., and he was a retired brick mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Augustine Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Zane Stephens officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Alabama.
Friends may call at the church from noon Tuesday until the hour of services.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Stephens, St. Augustine; two sons, Edward Myers, Deerfield Beach, Marc Myers, Pompano; two sisters, Catherine and Ellen; three brothers, Wayne, Bobby and F.D. Myers; and six grandchildren.

Clement E. Solano, 69, Elkton, died Nov. 2, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He was a lifelong resident of Elkton, and he owned Solano Creek Aviary. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Carroll, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Church. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include one brother, James M. Solano, Elkton; a niece, Mrs. Joseph (Jackie) Shugart, St. Augustine; and one nephew, Donnie G. Solano, Coventry, Ga.

Leacy Euland Atkins, 77, 106 Lincoln St., died Oct. 31, 1997, at her home. She was born in Manassa, Ga., and she had returned to St. Augustine 10 years ago from New York City. She was a retired supervisor in a button factor in New York City, and she had attended St. Augustine schools. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul AME Church, with the Rev. F.D. Richardson Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the hour of services.

Fred Banks
Fred Howard Banks, 73, Palatka, died Nov. 1, 1997, at his home. He was born in Lumpkin, Ga., and he moved to Florida in 1935. He was a retired carpenter, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving in World War II.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Memorial Park, with the Rev. Wayne Bush officiating.
Mr. Banks was preceded in death by a son, Walter Howard Banks.
Survivors include three children, Fredna Swofford, Guy ``Gator'' Banks, Betty Bush; two stepsons, Tommy and Eddie Rake; an adopted son, Henry Starling; two brothers, Floyd and Charles Banks; three sisters, Martha Rexroad, Mary Carter, Betty Bennett; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Gertrude Free
Gertrude Free, 88, St. Augustine, died Nov. 2, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was born in Lexington, Ky., and she had resided here for the past two months. She was a retired foreman, and she was of the Pentecostal faith.
Services and burial will be held at a later date in Kentucky.
Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Osiborski, one son, Charles Free, both of St. Augustine; a sister, Ruby Hatcher, Lexington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Ann Wright, 72, St. Augustine Beach, died Nov. 2, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was born in Burbank, Calif., and she had resided here since 1986. She was a retired executive secretary, having worked for the California Highway Patrol as well as the U.S. Forest Service. She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Memorial Park, with the Rev. Michael Mott, Moultrie Baptist Church pastor, officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Lea Moullin, St. Augustine; one sister, Marjorie Havis, San Jose, Calif.; and two nieces.

Henry Lee Sams, 51, St. Augustine, died Nov. 3, 1997, at his home. He was born in Reynolds, Ga., and he had resided here for the past 28 years. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, earning a BBA degree. He was an active member of Memorial Lutheran Church, and he was the owner of The Nautilus at the Beach.

Lucy Crichton
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lucy Parker Crichton will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra. Mrs. Crichton died Nov. 3. She was born in Pelham, Ga., and she lived in Milwaukee, Wis., for many years before moving to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1979. She was a longtime member of Christ Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in her honor, to Christ Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra Beach.

He was a retired bus operator, and he served as a union representative for the bus operators' union. He was past grand knight of Knights of Columbus, First Florida Council No. 611, and he was a member of Cathedral Parish.

She was a secretary for McGraw Hill Publishers in New York City for many years, and she attended Florida State University and the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
