Rose Catherine Rogero, 80, Tampa, died Nov. 18, 1997, at the home of her niece, Carrell Jordan, Tampa. She was born in Loretto, but she had resided in St. Augustine all her life, moving to Tampa just recently. She was former co-owner of Rogero Auto Parts with her late husband, Jim Rogero. She was a former volunteer at the Cathedral Gift Shop, and she was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the First Florida Council No. 611, Knights of Columbus. She was a member of Cathedral Parish.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Katie Fehring
Katie Lee Fehring, 89, precious grandmother, went home to be with Jesus Nov. 19, 1997, at the Ponce de Leon Care Center. She was born in Taylor County, Ga., residing in Butler, Ga., most of her life until moving to St. Augustine in 1991. She was a member of the Butler United Methodist Church and a nurse for many years at the Montgomery Hospital.
Funeral services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Butler United Methodist Church, with interment in Crowell Baptist Church Cemetery, Reynolds, Ga. Friends may call at the Edwards Funeral Home chapel, 203 W. Main St., Butler, Ga., from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Flowers are accepted.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Debbie Christopher, Trish Wood, Karen Herring; three great-grandchildren, Julie Oliver, Bryan Wood, Logan Herring, all of St. Augustine; one brother, Bernard Fuller, Butler; and many nieces nad nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Betty Roche.

Funeral services for Arthur Lee Freeman, 53, 3 Nesmith St., who died Nov. 14, 1997, in St. Augustine, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. Louise King
Louise Leta King, 74, St. Augustine, died Nov. 19, 1997, at Flagler Hospital West. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., and she had resided here since 1960. She was a retired salesclerk, and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. J.O. McLeod officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include one daughter, June Perkowski, St. Augustine; a son, John H. King, Jacksonville; and six grandchildren.
John Wallace Jr.
Funeral services for John M. Wallace Jr., 87, St. Augustine, who died Nov. 17, 1997, at his home, will be held at Memorial Presbyterian Church Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial follows in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

John Winters
John Winston Winters, 86, St. Augustine, died Nov. 19, 1997, at Mariner Health Care Center. He was born in Tuxedo Park, N.Y., and he resided in Ithaca, N.Y., for many years before moving to St. Augustine to make his home. He attended Cornell University and was employed by Morse Chain Company as a mechanical services engineer and fire chief, retiring in 1970. He served in the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II.
Mr. Winters was the past chief of the Brooktondale, N.Y., Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Disabled American Veterans of America.
Family memorial services will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be sent to Friends of Karen, 118 Titicus Road, POB 190, Purdys, N.Y., 10578. This is a charity for ill children. It was founded by his daughter, the late Shelia Winters Petersen.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, St. Augustine; his son, John W. Winters and daughter-in-law, April Winters, Bridgeport, N.Y.; his son-in-law, Ken Petersen, Croton Falls, N.Y.; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, H. Gordon and Helen Wyllie, Miami; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Willis Cason
Willis S. Cason Sr., 82, died Nov. 6, 1997, in Jacksonville. He was born in Baxley, Ga., grew up in Savannah and had lived in Palm Valley for 50 years.
He graduated from Clemson University in 1939 with a degree in civil engineering. He served in Italy during World War II, receiving two purple hearts. He left the U.S. Army in 1946 with the rank of major. He was chief structural engineer with Owen Steel of Florida, retiring in 1977.
Funeral services were held Nov. 10, 1997, at Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Williams officiating. Burial with full military honors was Nov. 12 in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Alvera Ashe Cason; sons, Spencer and Stan Cason; daughters, Jennifer Combs, Peggy Harris, Joyce Patterson, Sharon Bradley and Wendy Hobaugh; a brother, Robert; sisters, Dottie Schell, Gerry Masters and Carol Horton; and 10 grandchildren.

Charles Solana
Charles A. "Skeets" Solana, 74, St. Augustine, died Nov. 21, 1997, at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a mechanic and former owner of Solana Phillips 66 Service Station, and he was currently employed by Leonard's Studio. He was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church, the Menorcan Cultural Society, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge and the Allied Gasoline Retailers Association.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at San Sebastian Catholic Church, with the Rev. Peter Colasurdo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Craig chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Andreu Solana, St. Augustine; two daughters, Carol Ann Solana, St. Augustine, Elizabeth M. Dorothy Byrd
Dorothy Louise Byrd, 92, Lakeland, died Nov. 21, 1997, at the Oakbridge Nursing Home in Lakeland. Born in St. Augustine, she lived here most of her life until moving to Lakeland in 1994. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Firestone Tire Co., which was owned and operated by her husband, William. She was of the Catholic faith.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sanchez, Lakeland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Isabelle Germain
Isabelle Marie Germain, 90, formerly of St. Augustine, died Nov. 22, 1997, in Gainesville. She was born in Chicago, Ill., and she was a resident of St. Augustine for many years before moving to Gainesville in 1994. She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Memorial Park.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Roberts, Gainesville, Nancy Hagar, St. Augustine; two sons, Richard and Donald Germain, both of St. Augustine; a sister, Catherine Chambers, St. Augustine; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Dr. Murray Sigman
Murray D. Sigman, M.D., 81, died Nov. 21, 1997, at Jupiter Medical Center
Born in St. Augustine, he graduated from the University of Florida in 1937 and Temple University School of Medicine in 1941. He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1942-46 as a battalion surgeon with the U.S. Army in North Africa, Anzio, Cassino, southern and northern France and Germany. He graduated from Temple University Hospital's residency program in obstetrics and gynecology in 1949, and he had lived in Palm Beach County since then.
He was a member of the American College of Surgeons, International College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association and the Palm Beach Medical Society.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Jupiter-Tequesta, 815 E. Indiantown Road, Jupiter. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach. Those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to the memorial funds of First United Methodist Church or Trinity United Methodist Church of Palm Beach Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rita Boutot Sigman, Tequesta; sons, Dr. M. Douglas Sigman Jr., West Palm Beach, Warren Robert Sigman, North Palm Beach, George L. Sigman, St. Augustine; daughters, Mrs. Wayne D. Smith, Hastings, Mrs. Ron L. Steedly, Jupiter, Mrs. Charles A. Schaming III, Stuart; a sister, Virginia Beals, St. Augustine; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Patricia Mae Hofmann, 69, St. Augustine and Brant Lake, N.Y., died Nov. 22, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in New Castle, Pa., and she was a winter resident of St. Augustine for the past 20 years. She was a member of the DAR in Pennsylvania.
