William M. Joyner, 84, Lake City, died Nov. 26, 1997, at the VA Hospital, Lake City. He was born in Russell, Fla., and he had resided in St. Augustine prior to moving to Lake City. He was a retired ordained minister, and he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Warren Frederick, pastor of McDowell Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Harold Tucker Sr.
Harold Lacy Tucker Sr., 80, St. Augustine, died Nov. 27, 1997, at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born in Ocilla, Ga., and had lived in St. Augustine since 1983. He was a retired truck driver, a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and he attended Riverside Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist Church under the direction of Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla Ga. Burial will be in Brushy Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel here Saturday, 2-4 p.m., and at Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla, Ga., Sunday, 2-4 p.m.
He is survived by his son, Harold L. Tucker Jr., St. Augustine, one brother, Elliotte S. Tucker, Ocilla, Ga.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Daniel Francis Mickler
Daniel Francis Mickler, 93, of St. Augustine, died Nov. 26, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East. He was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine. He was a retired building contractor. He served 24 years as a St. Johns County Commissioner during which time he was instrumental in creating the Anastasia Mosquito Control District. He served as the first president of the Council on Aging. He was very active with the Samantha Wilson Senior Citizens Home. He received the Florida Wildlife Federation Governor's Award. The Mickler O'Connell Bridge was named for him. He was very active in the Old County Courthouse, and was often referred to as "Mr. St. Johns County." He spent a great deal of his time giving to the beautification of the San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral Basilica with Rev. Father Seamus O'Flynn, Pastor of St. Anastasia Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in the San Lorenzo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Craig Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Craig Funeral Home.

Young and his wife, Angela, Carolyn Shoals, Franklin B. Shoals, Kimberly S. Head and her husband David and Danielle J. Mangrum, five great grandchildren: Jeremy J. Young, M. Corey Young, Tiffany Griffey, George Dwelle and Ariel Head.

Alphonso Tynes
Alphonso "Vic" Tynes, 68, formerly of St. Augustine, died Nov. 24, 1997, at his home in New York City. A graduate of Excelsior High School here, he had lived in New York City for 17 years. He was a member of Convent Avenue Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. He was a manager of the Drake Hotel in New York City.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chase Memorial Chapel, with his brother-in-law, the Rev. Dr. Jesse Jackson, officiating, and his nephew, the Rev. Calvin Jackson, serving as eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
He is survived by a son, Vincent Tynes, New York City; sisters Nora Lee Bess, St. Augustine, the Rev. Mildred Jackson, Jersey City, N.J.; a brother, Joseph Tynes, St. Augustine; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Jackie Follweiler
Jackie S. Follweiler, 46, of Cocoa Beach died Nov. 28, 1997, in Cape Canaveral Hospital, Cocoa Beach. She was a native of St. Augustine and was proud of her Minorcan heritage, being a Florida native of many generations from St. Augustine.
She was a 1970 graduate of St. Augustine High School where she was active in school clubs and a varsity cheerleader. She attended the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine and had worked with her husband as a secretary at Craig Funeral Home. She had formerly lived in Palatka and Titusville before moving to Cocoa Beach 12 years ago. In Titusville she worked for the McDonnell Douglas Tomahawk plant as a secretary in government properties until 1988, when she became manager of the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She then became co-manager of the Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. She was a member of the Cocoa Beach Boating Club, Port Canaveral Navy League and had recently joined the Ladies of the Nile.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Our Savior Catholic Church, Cocoa Beach, with the Rev. Father Tobin officiating. Visitation will be held 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ollie Follweiler; her son, Chad Follweiler, both of Cocoa Beach; her father, Gerald Skinner, St. Augustine; her mother, Donna Skinner, Stanley, N.D,; brothers, Barney Skinner, Titusville, and Kenney Skinner, St. Augustine; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Webster Hamilton Challacombe, 78, St. Augustine, who died Nov. 25, 1997, at his home, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Barefoot Trace Condominium, 6240 A1A South.
Mr. Challacombe was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and he had resided in St. Augustine since 1980. He was a retired airline machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Doral Kent; a son, Wesley D. Challacombe, Miami; one stepdaughter, Lorraine Borin, Fremount, N.H.; and one brother, Jack Challacombe, Oregon.

Marilyn E. Haxton
Marilyn E. Haxton, 69, Greensboro, N.C., died Nov. 27, 1997, while attending a family reunion in Charlotte, N.C. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., and she had resided in many different countries while her husband, David, served with the United Nations. Those countries included Peru, Colombia, Indonesia, Brazil and India. In each, she took an active role as a volunteer - in Colombia, reading to the blind; in Indonesia, in support of early childhood learning; in Brazil with handicapped children; in India with Mother Teresa's centers and with a U.N. Women's Association kindergarten.
Funeral services were held at noon Monday at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Greensboro. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Louis.

Frank Hoover
Frank Hernandez Hoover, 101, 400 N. McLaughlin St., died Nov. 30, 1997, at the Samantha Wilson Home for Senior Citizens. He was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine. He was a member of St. Luke AME Church, and he was a veteran of World War I.
He was also a charter member of the Alton Green American Legion Post 194; he served on both the trustee and steward boards of his church, he was a member of the choir and former director; and he was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was also a member of the choir guild, and was a well-known trumpet player.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Myrick Hoover, St. Augustine; daughters, Mrs. Willie (Marian) Kingwood, Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Ralph (Frances) Smith, Tallahassee; a sister, Catherine Hoover, St. Augustine; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.
