Memorial services for Diane Marion Booth Seaman, 40, St. Augustine, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Booth, associate pastor at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, officiating.

Ms. Seaman was born in Jacksonville, and she had resided in St. Augustine all her life. She worked as a hostess and waitress with Shoney's at I-95 and SR 16.
Survivors include her parents, Donald L. Sr. and Marion Booth, St. Augustine; one brother, Donald L. Booth Jr., St. Augustine; and her paternal grandmother, Lucille Booth, Hastings.

David Baker Jr.
David Lee Baker Jr., 41, South Ponte Vedra Beach, died April 13, 1998, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in St. Augustine. He was owner and operator of the Banana Head's Bar and Grill on Anastasia Boulevard. Born in Providence, R.I., the son of Bertrice L. (Waterman) Baker of North Scituate, R.I., and David Lee Baker Sr., Brooksville, he lived in Florida for 13 years, previously living in North Kingstown and North Scituate, R.I.
He previously was an air conditioning technician for nine years for the Crowley Corp., Jacksonville, and a diesel mechanic for Colony Ford, Warwick, R.I., and St. Johnsbury and Arrow Transportation, Pawtucket, R.I. He was a former member of the North Scituate Baptist Church. He was a 1974 graduate of Scituate High School and Coventry Vocational Technical School, and he had attended community college in Rhode Island.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church, 4510 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach.
Survivors include, in addition to his parents, a brother, Samuel S. Baker, Ohio; two sisters, Bertrice I. Wood, Harmony, R.I., Susan C. Baker, Ponte Vedra; and three nephews.
Ernest Mathies
Ernest George Mathies, 87, 2391 U.S. 1 South, died April 20, 1998, at the St. Johns Health Care. He was born in Joplin, Mo., and he had resided here since 1967. He was of the Methodist faith.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at San Lorenzo Cemetery, with the Rev. Warren Frederick, pastor of McDowell Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call at Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Moore, St. Augustine; two sons, Robert Downing Sr., St. Augustine, William Downing, Louisville, Ky.; three grandsons, two granddaughters and other relatives.
Willard Motes
Willard Emerson Motes, 87, Palatka, died April 20, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. Born in Francis, he was a lifelong resident of Putnam County. He owned and operated Motes Grocery and Meat Store for 55 years, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palatka, where he served as a deacon. He had also served in the U.S. Navy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home, Palatka, with the Rev. Charles T. Rabun Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Jack Wallace
Jack Thomas Wallace, 76, St. Augustine, died April 21, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Deal, N.J., and he had resided here for the past 21 years. He was a retired lineman for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of Cathedral Parish, and he also held membership in Pioneers of America. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with Msgr. Harold F. Jordan officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Wallace, St. Augustine; five daughters, Lorraine Jones, Patricia O'Connell, Susan Durham, all of St. Augustine, Margaret Carlson, Barton, Vt., Joan Leblanc, Boynton Beach; two sons, John Wallace, Newport, Vt., Thomas Wallace, St. Augustine; one sister, Jean Walsh, Wayside, N.J.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Michael A. Hutchens
In loving memory of Michael A. Hutchens. Michael passed away at his home on 28 March 1998 in Groton, Conn. Michael was a nurse at Flagler Hospital and St. Augustine General Hospital for over seven years. He earned his LPN certificate at the St. Augustine Technical Center soon after his arrival at his home in the ``Shores.''
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980-87, attaining the rank of sergeant. Mike was involved in emergency medical care, hospice and home health care prior to joining the hospital.
Michael was close to completing his RN degree in Groton.
The immediate family of Michael consists of his wife, who is a nurse corps officer in the United States Navy in Groton; three children, Carman, Clayton and Christyn.
Michael Hutchens' military plaque has been placed in Fort Custer near his home in Michigan.
Flavian Mickler
Flavian Jacob Mickler, 74, Palm Valley, died April 21, 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Ponte Vedra Beach. Burial will be in Sampson Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at Eternity Funeral Home, 1650 Art Museum Drive, Suite 15, Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Baptist/St. Vincent's Hospice or Palmer Academy, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Faver Mickler; three daughters, Debby Bridges, Cathy Steward and Vicky Padgett. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Alfred Preston
Alfred D. "Al" Preston Sr., 82, died April 20, 1998, at Putnam Community Medical Center. He was born in Lochloosa and grew up in Micanopy, and he had resided in Palatka for the past 53 years, moving there from Micanopy. He and his late brother, Joe Preston, co-founded Preston Electric in Palatka in 1945. He retired several years ago. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Palatka, where he had served on the board of trustees and was a past president of the Methodist Men.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Palatka, with Pastor Tom Tenney, Pastor John Brabham and Pastor Gary Isner officiating. Burial will be in Paran Cemetery, Grandin. Friends may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Weseman Preston.

Delmar Stewart
Delmar R. Stewart, 77, Lake Worth, a former St. Augustine resident, died April 19, 1998. He recently moved to Lake Worth from Jacksonville. While residing in St. Augustine, he served as superintendent of the St. Augustine National Cemetery for more than 30 years.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. April 30 at the St. Augustine National Cemetery, 104 Marine St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in his memory, to the American Heart Association, 5851 St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, 32207.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle, who died in 1980; and a son, Ron, who died in 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Stewart, St. Augustine, Mary (Mrs. Donald) Chidsey, Lake Worth; a sister, Mary Hutchins, Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Deacon James Carl Walker, 75, 954 Pearl St., died April 16, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Ormond. He was born in Quincy, and he had resided here since 1960. He was on the board of deacons at New St. James Baptist Church, and he was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Loreen Sherman, 82, Hastings, died April 15, 1998, at Vencor Hospital, Green Cove Springs, following a long illness. She was born in Milan, Ga., to Joe and Florida Mae Tomblin, and she had lived in Hastings since the 1940s.

Arthur Belli, 78, St. Augustine, died April 24, 1998, at Mariner Health Care. He was born in New Kensington, Pa., and he was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Etheredge, St. Augustine; three grandchildren, Erin Etheredge, Jacksonville, and Mandi and Jason Etheredge, both of St. Augustine; and one great-grandchild.

Angel Chandler
Angel Chandler, infant daughter of Rebecca Chandler, Jacksonville, died April 22, 1998. She is also the granddaughter of Diana Edwards, who is employed at Flagler Hospital.
Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home, 1650 Art Museum Drive, Jacksonville.
She is also survived by a brother, Alex Robert Chandler, Jacksonville; grandfather, Richard E. Chandler Sr., Ohio; great-grandparents, Ruth Ann and Bill Carrero, Puerto Rico, and Robert and Shirley Evans, Ohio; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
