Funeral services for Deacon James Carl Walker, 75, 954 Pearl St., who died April 16, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Ormond, will be held at 1 p.m. today at New St. James Baptist Church, with the Rev. Marjorie Leisinger
Marjorie Hughes Leisinger, formerly of Mandarin, wife of the late Lewis M. Leisinger and mother of Barbara Milks of St. Augustine, passed away on Monday, April 20. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Lynne Chubb and Barbara Milks; by her five grandchildren, John, Chris and David Chubb and Rebekah and Bryn Milks; her sonin-law, John Chubb; and many friends. Marjorie was a member of the Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, San Jose Country Club and several community organizations. She will be remembered also for her fine art work and contributions to the art community. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at the Center for Positive Living, 69 S. Dixie Highway, St. Augustine, with a reception following at the home of Barbara Milks. For information call 471-6220.

Memorial services for Diane Marion Booth Seaman, 40, St. Augustine, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Booth, associate pastor at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, officiating.

Mercedes Floyd, 70, 137 S. Oneida St., died April 24, 1998 in Flagler Hospital East.

Denzie Menser
Denzie ``Red'' Menser, 76, St. Augustine, died unexpectedly April 26, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. He was born in St. Charles, Ky., the son of the late Thomas Dinsmore and Ella Alsbrook Menser. He served as a fireman for the city of St. Augustine for 34 years, attaining the rank of captain, and he worked at the Western Auto Store on St. George Street for 17 years. Mr. Menser served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was a life member of Ashlar Lodge No. 98, F&AM, and a member of the St. Augustine Shrine Club.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Burial will be at a later date at the Christian Privilege Cemetery, St. Charles.

He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Margaret Menser, St. Charles; his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bill Heggar, Racine, Wis.; beloved grandchildren, Catherine and Michael Maher, Ashley Ford and Will Bremio, Elizabeth Elrod, Charlotte and Jimmy Harris and Paul and Jacob Bradley.

Garnett Taylor
Garnett Sanford Taylor, 77, St. Augustine, died April 25, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East, following a short illness. He had resided in St. Augustine since 1990. Known locally as ``Mr. Wal-Mart,'' he was the ribbon cutter at both of the Wal-Mart grand openings. Heavily decorated as a World War II veteran, he was in most battles in Europe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma, to whom he was married for 56 years.
Originally from Keystone, W.Va., he lived in Florida since 1959.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Bill German, pastor of Freedom Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include three sons, Sanford Wayne Taylor, Thomas Allen Taylor, Roger Lee Taylor, all of St. Augustine; five grandchildren, Roger Lee Taylor Jr., Ronnie Wayne Taylor, Mark Allen Taylor, Tammy Ann Taylor Looney, Melody Liane Taylor; and four great-grandchildren, Kaly Marie Taylor, Sumer Lee Taylor, Khase Skylor Taylor, Kristen Leann Looney.
Euclide Le Blanc
Euclide Joseph Le Blanc, 75, Hastings, died April 26, 1998, at Flagler Hospital West. He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and he had resided here since 1987. He was a former receptionist with the Bethune-Cookman College, Hastings. He was of the Catholic faith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine, with the Rev. Jeremiah Lambe, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Lynn, Mass.
Survivors include two sisters, Yolande Le Blanc, St. Augustine, and Theresa Turcotte, Hudson.
Kenneth McKinnon
Kenneth R. McKinnon, 74, died April 24, 1998, at the Cathedral Gerontology Center, Jacksonville. He moved to St. Augustine in 1986 from Boston, Mass. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II, and he was a retired salesman for International Harvester in Boston.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Rodriguez, St. Augustine; one son, Scott McKinnon, Hastings; and three grandchildren.

Helen Pellerin
Helen Pellerin, 81, St. Augustine, died April 27, 1998, at her home. She was born in Adams, Mass., and she had resided here for the past three years. During World War II, she had worked as an inspector for Sprague Electric Company. She was a member of the Hastings Council on Aging, and she was of the Episcopal faith.
Burial will be in North Adams, Mass.
Survivors include one son, Howard P. Pellerin, St. Augustine; and one brother, Howard N. Houser, Adams, Mass.

Carl Robinson, 57, 874 W. 12th St., died April 27, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. He was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine.

Wilbur Bailey
Wilbur W. Bailey, 82, St. Augustine, died April 27, 1998, at the Earl B. Hadlow Center of Hospice Northeast, following a long illness. He was born in Omaha, Neb., and he had resided in St. Augustine since 1979. He served two terms as president of the St. Augustine Exchange Club and was an active member of the St. Augustine Officers Club, the Military Order of World Wars and the West Point Society of Jacksonville.
He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1939 and entered the service in the Army Signal Corps. He transferred to the Army Air Force in 1940 and served in World War II in the Southwest Pacific in the Philippines and Japanese occupation in 1945-47. He achieved the rank of colonel in the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and retired from active duty in July 1959.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.

Agnes Carter, 70, Hastings, died April 27, 1998, at her home. She had returned to Hastings in the early 1980s, after living in Fort Lauderdale.
Survivors include four daughters, Juanita Thomas, New Orleans, La., Barbra Oliver, Michelle Carter, both of Hastings, Renee Carter, East Palatka; five sons, Willie Smith, San Diego, Calif., Robert Carter, Armstrong, Alvin Carter, East Palatka, Bernard and Anthony Carter, both of Hastings; sisters, Mary Williams, Armstrong, Victoria Campbell, Garrisville; four brothers, James Campbell, Gainesville, Lawrence Campbell Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo., John Campbell, Hastings; and William Campbell, Fort Lauderdale.

Jeanette Miller
Jeanette Lennon Miller, 76, St. Augustine, died April 27, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. She was born in Joliet, Ill., and she had resided here for the past seven years. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Miller.
Survivors include her husband, John E. Marion Richard, 85, died April 28, 1998, at the home of her nephew, Gerald Riley. She moved here in 1994 from Ordham, Mass.

Ida Davis
Ida Ruth Brooks Davis, 71, devoted mother and friend to all, died Sunday, April 26, 1998, after being stricken suddenly by a cerebral aneurysm. Mrs. Davis, a resident of St. Augustine, lived in the Charlotte, N.C., area most of her life, before moving to Galax, Va., in 1973.
In 1991, she retired to St. Augustine. Here she became known for her efforts with the homeless, sick and elderly at St. Francis House and the Samantha Wilson/Bayview House, as well as other fund-raising activities.
Mrs. Davis' warm, continuous smile and deep compassion for all will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Phillips, Ponte Vedra, and her son, T. Whitfield Davis Jr., Galax, as well as by her sister, Helen Mathis, Cary, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at the First Christian Church, 1200 East Blvd., Charlotte, N.C., Thursday, April 30, beginning at noon, followed by a family visitation hour.
Graveside services will follow at 5:30 p.m. in Galax, at Felts Cemetery.

Delmar Stewart
Graveside services for Delmar R. Stewart, 77, St. Augustine resident, who died April 19, 1998, in Lake Worth, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Augustine National Cemetery, 104 Marine St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in his memory, to the American Heart Association, 5851 St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, 32207.
Mr. Stewart resided in St. Augustine for many years, serving as superintendent of the St. Augustine National Cemetery for over 30 years.
He was the husband of the late Isabelle Stewart, who died in 1980, and the father of the late Ron Stewart, who died in 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Stewart, St. Augustine, Mary (Donald) Chidsey, Lake Worth; a sister, Mary Hutchison, Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren, Candice Johnson, Cathy Cason, Tami Lacy, Renee Woods and Joe Stewart; and one great-grandchild, Skyler Woods.
Lawrence Carubia
Lawrence V. Carubia, 76, Crescent City, died April 25, 1998, at Ormond Beach Memorial Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a maintenance worker for the school system in Nassau County, N.Y., and he moved to Crescent City 30 years ago from Levittown, L.I., N.Y.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Carubia, Crescent City and St. Augustine; two sons, Charles Carubia, St. Augustine, Lawrence Carubia, Hastings; and two granddaughters.
