Minnie B. Staley, 70, 146 Twine St., died June 6, 1998, at her home. She was born in Aiken, S.C., and she had resided here since early childhood. She was of the Baptist faith, and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. A. Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Chase and Son Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and at the church from noon Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include one son, Charles Staley, St. Augustine; daughters, Annette S. Rivers, Philadelphia, Pa., Vera S. Lewis, St. Augustine; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Maurice Frankel
Maurice James Frankel, 75, St. Augustine, died May 24, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Boston, Mass., and he had resided here since 1984. He was a graduate of Northeastern University, Boston, and he was retired from the State of Massachusetts, having worked in the welfare department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II, and he was a former member of the St. Augustine Shores Riverview Club and former president of NARFE Chapter 33.
Private services were held with Rabbi Samuel Cywiak, Congregation Sons of Israel, officiating. Burial was in St. Augustine Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Frankel, St. Augustine; two stepsons, George Lonquist, Saddle River, N.J., Richard Lonquist, Coventry, R.I.; and four grandchildren.

Robert Osborne
Memorial services and disposition of the cremated remains of Robert Harry Osborne, 81, St. Augustine, who died Jan. 29, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East, were recently held. He was born in Landis, N.C., and he was a veteran.
Survivors include a sister, Wincie Howell; and two grandchildren, Steven Osborne and Sandra Lewis.

John Oakes
John Joseph Oakes, 84, St. Augustine, died June 13, 1998, at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and he had resided here since 1977. He was retired from C. Lloyd Johnson Company, where he worked as vice president of sales and marketing, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a member of Cathedral Parish, and he also held membership in First Florida Council No. 611, Knights of Columbus, the St. Augustine Rotary Club, the Officers Club, and he was the former executive director of United Way in St. Johns County.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the family home, 935 Lew Blvd., and friends may call at the home from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Alice Bryant, 67, St. Augustine, died June 15, 1998, in Tallahassee. She was born in Wakulla County, and she was of the Baptist faith. She was owner of Bryant's Fill Dirt.

Donald White, 78, St. Augustine, died June 16, 1998, at his home. He was born in Whitesville, N.J., and he had resided in St. Augustine since 1960. He was a retired building contractor, and he was a member of the VFW.

Hayward Lovell
Hayward Lovell, 84, Crescent City, died June 15, 1998, at his home, following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Crescent City, and he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Union Bethel AME Church, serving on the choir and on the steward board, and he was a former member of New Moon Lodge No. 32, F&AM. He was a self-employed citrus contractor for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jethro First Baptist Church, Crescent City, with the Rev. Clinton Murvin, pastor of Union Bethel AME Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
Friends may call at the Jethro First Baptist Church from 6 to 9 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Mr. Lovell was preceded in death by his wife, Jemmie Scott Lovell, and by a son, Charles Lovell.

May Adell Taylor, 64, St. Augustine, died June 17, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. She was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, and she was the manager of the Sandpiper Snack Bar at Marineland, having been employed by Marineland of Florida for 23 years. She was of the Catholic faith.
