Edith L. Hall, 71, St. Augustine, died June 29, 1998, at Flagler Hospital West. She was born in Fountain Head, Tenn., and she had resided here for the past eight years. She was retired from the food service industry, and she was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Mandarin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of God of Prophecy, with Pastor Larry Lowry officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte White, Deborah Hall, a son, Ronald Hall, all of St. Augustine; one brother, Cecil Carter, Sikeston, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Francis Hawkes
Francis John Hawkes, 42, St. Augustine, died June 25, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Mineola, N.Y.

Berla Hubbard
Berla S. Hubbard, St. Augustine, died June 30, 1998, at her home on Tremerton Place. She moved to St. Augustine from DeFuniak Springs in 1932, and she was married to Harold Hubbard in 1935. She was a graduate of Palmer College and Florida State University. She taught for many years at Fullerwood School, and she was a member of the Woman's Exchange, the Cherokee Garden Club and the Rod and Gun Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Augustine Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. L.H. Kirkwood officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors include her husband, Harold ``Happy'' Hubbard; one niece, Elizabeth Roydhouse; and two nephews, L.H. Kirkwood and E. Cameron Hubbard.

Virginia Manucy
Virginia ``Nicky'' Christine Myers Hasselman Manucy died June 29, 1998, at the Hadlow Center, Jacksonville. She was a native of St. Augustine, attended local schools and graduated from Salem High School, Salem, N.J. After attending the Julliard School of Music, she sang with the San Francisco Opera Company, and while employed by Standard Oil of California, she served as Miss Standard Oil.
After returning to St. Augustine, she spearheaded the founding of the St. Augustine Taxpayers Association and was instrumental in the development of the national tissue matching network for vital organ transplants.
She was a lifelong Episcopalian.
Survivors include sons, David Werner Hasselman Jr., Fort Lauderdale, the Rev. Kurt Worley Hasselman, Marmara, N.J.; daughters, Juliana Maria Olsson, Alexandra Virginia Susanna Claudia O'Brien, both of St. Augustine; a brother, Barry Westcott Myers, one sister, Mary Susanna Myers, both of St. Augustine; six grandchildren and other relatives.

Betty Wilson Power, 63, St. Augustine, died June 30, 1998, at her home. Arrangements will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.
Alan Pritchard
Alan Pritchard, 28, 421 Orchis Road, St. Augustine, died at his home Nov. 16, 1997. He was born in Palatka, and he lived his entire life in St. Augustine.
He was cremated in Jacksonville, and his ashes were scattered in the bay in St. Augustine.
Friday, family members and friends are invited to a memorial service at 421 Orchis Road, from 1-4 p.m.
Survivors include a sister, Cathy O'Steen.
Udo Peter Weiss
Udo Peter Weiss, 28, St. Augustine, died June 24, 1998, in New York. He was born in Bad Nauheim, Germany.

Thomas ``Ti'' Gwin, 47, Melbourne, died June 30, 1998, at his home. He was born in Clearfield, Pa., and he was a former assistant store manager for Publix Supermarkets, having opened new stores in Charleston, Hilton Head and Summerville, S.C. He also worked in stores in St. Augustine, having resided here for more than three years; Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach. He was a graduate of Eau Gallie High School, Class of 1969, and he earned a B.A. degree in advertising in 1976 from the University of Florida. He was of the Methodist faith.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davis Funeral Home, Melbourne.

Ardis Jannasch MacKinnon, 56, Tampa, died July 1, 1998, at her home. She was born in St. Joseph, Mich., and she had resided in the Tampa area since 1981, moving there from Doylestown, Pa. She had served as vice president of advertising for Yale Industrial Trucks, and she was a newspaper columnist, a member of the Hillsborough River Basin Board, served on the board of the Brandon Center Place - Fine Arts and Civic Association; ECHO (Emergency Care Help Organization), the American Cancer Society and Brandon Crisis Pregnancy Center. She was immediate past president of the CFWC Service League, and she received the Brandon Chamber Key Citizen Award, the Alice B. Thompkins Community Service Award and the Spud Clements Award for outstanding service to Center Place. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, A.D. ``Sandy'' MacKinnon III, Tampa; a son, Alex D. MacKinnon IV, Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Darcy Davis, St. Augustine, Katherine Hill, Tampa; a sister, Marcia Coman, Prescott, Ariz.; one brother, Karl Jannasch, Nashville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

William Arthur Knight, 71, St. Augustine, died July 2, 1998, at his home. He was born in Battle Creek, Mich., and he had lived in St. Augustine for most of his life. He was a mortgage broker. He served in the U.S. Army, and he was a member of the Ponce de Leon Country Club.

John McCloskey, 60, St. Augustine, died July 3, 1998, at the St. Augustine Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He moved to St. Augustine from Trenton, N.J., in 1978. He worked as a machinist for VAW and Tensolite, and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
