Marian Powers St. Petery, 78, Fort Pierce, died Aug. 29, 1998, in Raleigh, N.C. She was born in St. Augustine, and she was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1938, and St. Vincent's School of Nursing, 1941. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to St. Anastasia Building Fund, 5205 A1A South, St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include her husband, Louis B. St. Petery, Fort Pierce; a son, Dr. Louis B. St. Petery, Tallahassee; daughters, Patricia Schmidt, Silverton, Col., Peggy Moore, Raleigh; a sister, Laverne Alexander, St. Augustine; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Audrey Vickers
Audrey Vickers, 51, Elkton, died Sept. 13 1998, in Flagler Hospital East. Arrangements will be announced by Coleman's Mortuary, Hastings.

Linda Duhon
Linda Marie Duhon, 52, Newport News, Va., died Sept. 11, 1998. She was a native of St. Augustine, and she had resided in the peninsula area since 1994. She was a former employee of the Mercury Boulevard and Brentwood Farm Fresh stores, and, at the time of her death, she was a cashier at the Big Bethel Farm Fresh.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Peninsula Memorial Park, New Port News, with the Rev. Stanley S. Hicks Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the W.J. Smith and Son Funeral Home, Newport News.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Bruce Duhon; four daughters, Angela Marie Duhon, Phoenix, Ariz., Michele Danette Duhon, Julie Annette Duhon, both of Annapolis, Md., Amberly Deniece Duhon, Newport News; her mother, Marie McKinney, St. Augustine; stepfather, David McKinney, Tallahassee; a sister, Shirley Gower, Clayton, N.C.; one brother, David McKinney, Louisburg, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Marie Dulin
Marie J. Dulin, 72, St. Augustine, died Sept. 12, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. She was born in Frametown, W.Va., and she had resided in St. Augustine since 1980. She had been a computer programmer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons, Charles J. Dulin, Maryville, Tenn., Richard L. Dulin, Coleman, Texas; a sister, Grace Wright, Bristol, Va.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Thelma Dupont
Graveside services for Thelma Julia Dupont, 94, Palm Coast, who died Sept. 13, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pellicer Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Lucy Norton, retired Methodist pastor, officiating. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Frederick LeClaire
Funeral services for Frederick Jospeh LeClaire, 79, St. Augustine, who died Sept. 12, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cordell Holloway, Church of Christ pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home today from 5 to 8 p.m.

Sally Melcher
Sally Belle Melcher, St. Augustine, died Sept. 14, 1998, at the Samantha Wilson Care Center. She was born in Atlanta, Ga., and she had resided here since 1920. She taught piano for many years, and she played the organ at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Palatka; and also at Prince of Peace and St. Benedict Catholic churches in St. Augustine. She attended Flagler College, when she was in her mid-70s, studying advanced piano. She was a member of Cathedral Parish, serving as a sacristan at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to Lourdes Hall, POB 3506, St. Augustine, 32085.
Survivors include one daughter, Lucy Osgood, St. Augustine; a son, Arnold Cyril Melcher Jr., Tallahassee; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Arnold Cyril Melcher Sr.; two daughters, Agnes L. Ridge, Mary F. Farris; a son, Robert Charles Melcher; and two grandchildren, Donna Lynn Oakes and Billy Ridge Jr.

Randy Register
Randy Lamar Register, 47, St. Augustine, died Sept. 12, 1998, at his home, following a brief illness. He was born in Bostwick, and he had resided in St. Augustine for many years, moving here from Jacksonville. He was a welder with the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, and he was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bostwick Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Weeks and the Rev. John Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Bostwick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home, Palatka, from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Survivors include one son, Jack, a daughter, Chloe, both of St. Augustine; two brothers, Roy and Donald Register, both of Bostwick; and five sisters, Joyce Russell, Brenda Lewis, Sylvia Payne, all of Spokane, Wash., Betty Hurd, Jacksonville Beach, Donna Dosio, Middleburg.

Bevan Smith
Bevan George Smith, 37, 146 Phoenetia Drive, died Aug. 31, 1998. He was born in Clarendon, Jamaica, and he had resided here for three years. He was a member of the Church of God.
Memorial services will be held at noon Wednesday at St. Paul AME Church, with the Rev. F.D. Richardson Jr., pastor, officiating, and the Rev. R.F. Cleveland serving as eulogist.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Smith; two sons, Bevan G. Smith II, Jonathan A. Smith; a daughter, Christene Smith; two brothers, Vincent and Grantley Smith; three sisters, Danette Genus, Paulette and Maolyn Smith; and other relatives.

Fred Dreyer
Fred C. Dreyer Sr., 92, St. Augustine, died Sept. 6, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and had resided in St. Augustine for 25 years. He was retired from Ford Motor Co., where he worked as a receiving inspector, and he also retired from General Electric, where he worked in quality control. He was a member of the Ancient City Coin Club and was a member of the Cathedral Parish.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, at the Cathedral Basilica the with Rev. Terry Morgan, pastor, officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
Survivors include his wife, Martha M. Dreyer, St. Augustine; one daughter, Barbara Bardon, Hilton Head, S.C.; three sons, Fred C. Dreyer Jr., Berkeley, Mass., Charles Dreyer, Maine, Bill Dreyer, Swarthmore, Pa.; one brother, Edward Dreyer, Baltimore, Md.; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Ann Phillips
Ann Marie Phillips, 80, St. Augustine, died Sept. 6, 1998, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and she had resided here for the past seven years. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Garry Martin, pastor of Heritage Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the Heritage Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1480 Wildwood Drive, St. Augustine, 32086.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Ann Corrente, Mobile, Ala., Lynn M. Catuto, St. Augustine, Jane Crovo, Daytona Beach; one son, Gary L. Phillips, Honolulu, Hawaii; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Thomas Sawyer
Thomas Edward Sawyer, 55, St. Augustine, died Sept. 6, 1998, at Mariner Health Care. He was born in Tampa.
Survivors include one aunt, Ethel Jones, DeLand.
Arrangements will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.

Marion Horst
Marion L. Horst, 83, St. Augustine, died Sept. 6, 1998, at her home. She was born in Belleville, N.J., and she had resided in St. Augustine for the past four years, moving to St. Augustine from Jupiter. She was a lifelong avid gardener, and for many years, she was very active with various garden club activities. She loved nature and enjoyed many happy days working in her garden.
No services are planned.
She leaves two children, Ronald Horst and his wife, Brenda, South Ponte Vedra Beach; and Marianne Feland and her husband, Michael, of Miami; three sisters, Agnes Siegel, Lakeland, Eleanor Orson, Anne Gonnelli, both of Clifton, N.J.; two brothers, Frank Lukowiak, Ocala, Lawrence Lukowiak, Mt. Pocono, Pa.; two granddaughters, Erika Valenti and her husband, James, Jupiter; Kristina Horst, Atlanta; one grandson, Jonathan Feland, Miami; and one great-granddaughter, Caroline Valenti, Jupiter.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge.

Elna Vanderbent
Funeral services for Elna Marie ``Ellie'' Vanderbent, 63, St. Augustine, who died Aug. 28, 1998, at Orange Park Medical Center, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home with the Rev. Deena Galantowicz, associate rector, Trinity Episcopal Parish, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Hattie Bennett
Funeral services for Hattie L. Bennett, 132 M.L. King Ave., who died Sept. 6, 1998, at the Samantha Wilson Care Center, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. F.D. Richardson Jr., pastor of St. Paul AME Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase chapel from 5 to 9 p.m., today.

Gladys Campbell
Gladys Holley Campbell, De Funiak Springs, died Sept. 8, 1998, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola. She was born in St. Augustine, the daughter of the late John T. and Floria Holley. From early childhood, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, here, and she was a graduate of Excelsior High School and earned a degree in education from FAMC, now FAMU. She taught for many years in Alabama and Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, Ponce de Leon, Fla., with the Rev. Charlie Grant officiating. Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.
Survivors include her husband, Hubbard Campbell; a son, Corrigan Campbell; two brothers, Joe Holley, Miami, John T. Holley, Yuba City, Calif.; and one grandson. Also surviving are other relatives, including nieces, nephews and cousins.
A sister, Lois Holley Chatwell, preceded her in death.
Park Funeral Home, 76 Park St., De Funiak Springs, is in charge.

Al Carter
Funeral services for Al Vernon Carter, 71, St. Augustine, who died Sept. 9, 1998, at the St. Johns Health Care Center, will be held at 6 p.m., today at Craig Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. LaVoy Newton Jr., pastor of Lighthouse Church of God, officiating. Friends may call at Craig chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Mr. Carter was born in Kentucky, and he had resided in St. Augustine for the past 26 years. He was a retired truck driver for the St. Johns County Road and Bridge Department, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was the father of the late Russell Carter.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; three daughters, Carla Lang, Cindy Carter, both of St. Augustine, Carol Dubose, Palm Coast; three sons, Timothy, Steven and Allen; one brother, Charles Carter, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.

Bayard Wharton
Memorial services for Bayard Wharton, 71, St. Augustine, who died Sept. 6, 1998, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Jeff Batkin, rector, officiating.

Margaret Wilson
Margaret Grimes Wilson, 93, St. Augustine, died Sept. 10, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East. Arrangements will be announced by Craig Funeral Home.

Charles Arzonetti
Charles J. Arzonetti, 85, Marsh Creek, died Sept. 9, 1998, at Flagler Hospital. He was born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and he moved to St. Augustine from Scarsdale, N.Y. In Scarsdale, he was owner and operator of Garth Custom Kitchens, Inc., a design and kitchen remodeling firm, and he was a member of the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church. In St. Augustine, he was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, and he also held membership in Marsh Creek Country Club.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Presbyterian Church. Those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to the American Diabetes Association, 4492 Southside Blvd., Suite 101, Jacksonville, 32216, or to Memorial Presbyterian Church, 36 Sevilla St., St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; a daughter, Ruth, Washington, D.C.; one son, Walter, Palm Coast; two brothers, George and Joseph Rimm, both of Merritt Island; two grandchildren, Stefani HIte, Ambler, Pa., Samantha McClure, Austin, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Madison and Ian McClure and Corinne Hite.

Charles Arzonetti
