Sidney Gary Peacock of Marianna died Sept. 18.
He was a native of Altha but had lived most of his life in Jackson County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marianna. He was the owner/broker of Peacock Real Estate for more than 23 years. He owned and operated Westside Dairies in Marianna for over 20 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club for more than 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Seay Peacock of Marianna; two sons, Sidney Gary Peacock Jr. and wife, Lori, of Atlanta, Christopher Seay Peacock and wife, Ellen, of Orlando; three brothers, Drew Peacock and John K. (Sonny) Peacock, both of Altha, Wallace Peacock of Chattahoochee; two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey of Altha, Evelyn Gainey of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey of Altha, Evelyn Gainey of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 20 at the First Baptist Church in Marianna with Rev. Michael Petty officiating. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. James & James Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel of Marianna was in charge.
Millard Hayes, 83
Millard Hayes of Bonifay died Sept. 15 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Hayes; a daughter, Janice Hayes Forehand; and a great-grandson, Justin Hayes.
Survivors include one son, Hubert Hayes and wife, Ebbie Jan, of Bonifay; two grandsons, Timothy Hayes of Marianna, Phillip Hayes of Bonifay.
Funeral services were held Sept. 18 at Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Roy Douglas and Juno Douglas officiating. Burial followed in Poplar Head Church Cemetery in Washington County.
Richard A. Church, 67
Richard Allen Church of Hazel Park, Michigan, died Sept. 18 at the home of a sister in Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mildred Hott Church of Jacksonville; one brother, Delbert Church of Warren, MI; one sister, Gloria C. Wells of Jacksonville.
Funeral services were held Sept. 20 at Peel Funeral Home Chapel, Vernon, with Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating. Burial followed in Vernon City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
J.B. Gay, 74
J.B. Gay of Capitola died Sept. 19 at his residence.
A native of Washington County, he lived most of his life in Capitola. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a member of Lloyd Baptist Church, and worked part-time with Quest Diagnostics.
He was preceded in death by one son, George Randell of Chipley; his mother, Rea Riley and step-father, Hosea Riley of Wausau.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Gay of Capitola; one son, John Gay and wife, Peggy, of Chipley; one daughter, Brenda Bonnet and husband, Ronnie Bonnet of Floral City; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sept. 22 at Beggs Funeral Home Apalachee Chapel in Tallahassee. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley.
Ernest Walsingham, 83
Ernest Walsingham of Perry died Sept. 20 at the Lafayette Medical Health Care of Mayo.
He had resided in Perry for the past 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Perry.
Survivors include Clara Mae Walsingham of Wausau; three sons, John Henry Walsingham of Perry, Billy Joe Walsingham of Clearwater, Danny Walsingham of New Port Richey; one daughter, Linda Faircloth of Perry; one sister, Lillie Bell Walsingham of Marianna; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 23 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Lee Walsingham officiating. Burial followed in Wausau Memorial Gardens with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
William L. Lathan, 62
William L. Lathan of Wausau died Sept. 20 in Panama City.
He had resided in Wausau for the past 15 years, moving there from Alabama. He was of the Assembly of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Magaline J. Lathan; and grandparents, Ivy and Maggie Jordan.
Survivors include his father, Herman Lathan of Jackson, Miss.; his wife, Grace Lathan of Wausau; three sons, William E. Lathan of Kynesville, Ivy Lathan of Jersey Shores, Pennsylvania, DeWayne Carter of Wausau; two daughters, Julie Obert of Cottondale, Mellissa Tharp of Vernon; step-father, Fred J. Jordan of Waynesboro, Mississippi; step-mother-in-law, Ollie Carter Toole of Chipley; three brothers, David Johnson and wife, Ruthie Jane of Chatom, Ala., Frank Johnson and wife, Susan, of Malery, Ala., Wayne Lathan of Jackson, Ala.; three sisters, Carolyn Rogers and husband, George, of Wausau, Gennie Wood and husband, Kenny, of Waynesboro, Angeline Shirley of Waynesboro; one brother-in-law, Leon Carter and wife, Faye, of Bayou George; two grandchildren and two god-grandchildren.

Thelma E. Nichols, 90
Thelma Eugene Nichols of Washington County died Nov. 29 at Grandview Assisted Living Home.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Oakie Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Lucille Nelson of Port St. Joe.
Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at Wachob Chapel with Rev. Alcus Brock officiating. Burial followed in Oakie Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
