Wilson Ray Williams of Anchorage, Alaska, died July 28 at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. He was a former resident of Bonifay.
Survivors include his wife, Faye (Rutlidge) Williams; two sons, Brian Williams and Troy Williams, and a daughter, Kylee Hickcoff, all of Anchorage; and two brothers, Lee Williams of Dothan, Ala., and Ralph E. Williams of Bonifay, and an aunt, Dura Williams of Bonifay.
Graveside service was held Aug. 12 in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Lee Williams officiating, and Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Wilford Anderson, 71
Wilford Ray Anderson of Bonifay died Aug. 18 at his home there. He was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Geneva County, Ala., to the late Connie Ray and Mary Etta Miller Anderson.
He was a lifelong resident of north Holmes County where he and his family lived on the old homestead and farmed. He attended Smith Chapel Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sonia Leavins Anderson; one son and daughter-in-law, Ray Gene and Olena S. Anderson; three brothers, Frazier Anderson of Bonifay, Rex Anderson and wife, Fay, of Geneva , and Low Max Anderson and wife, Judy, of Westville, one granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Funeral was Aug. 20 at Smith Chapel Assembly of God church in Holmes County with the Revs. George Stafford, Franklin D. Penny and Paul Carnley officiating.
Burial followed in Whitewater Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Joshua R. Driggers, 15
Joshua Randolph Driggers of Westville died Aug. 15 at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Fla. He was born June 21, 1991, in Panama City to Timothy and Sarah Driggers of Westville.
He was a sophomore at Ponce de Leon High School.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are four brothers, Tim Driggers, David Driggers, John Driggers and Steven Driggers, all of Westville; a sister, Angel Driggers of Plant City; paternal grandparents, Sammy and Rachel Ann Driggers, also of Plant City; maternal grandmother, Delores Lee Sasnet of Westville.
Funeral was Aug. 19 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Sasnett officiating.
Burial was in Westville Community Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Jeremiah Clegg, 17
Jeremiah Douglas Clegg of Fountain died Sept. 22 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born in Key West Feb. 17, 1989, and had lived in Fountain most of his life. Jeremy was a senior at Blountstown High School where he was president of the Vica Club. He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his father, Douglas Clegg of Fountain and his fiancee, Grace E. Crow of Chipley; mother, Donna Jones of Phoeniz, Ariz.; two brothers, Joseph Allen Clegg of Old Bridge, N.J., and Michael Thomas Clegg of Montrose, Colo.; two sisters, Tamara J. Fierra of New Jersey and Dena Marie Seymour of Panama City; paternal grandparents, Merle H. Clegg and Carlos M. Gonzalez, both of Panama City; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Jenny Willie of Phoenix, Ariz.
Funeral was Sept. 28 in the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel of Blountstown with Marlon Peavy directing.
Lottie Carswell, 79
Lottie E. Carswell of Palm Bay died Sept. 24.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Doc and Tessie Peters of Graceville, and three brothers, Dewitt, Himmel and Lowell Peters.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Marvin T. Carswell; a son, Donald T. Carswell of Wetumpka, Ala.; three daughters, Jeanette Carswell Ford of Birmingham, Ala., Christine Carswell Leggett of Robersonville, N.C., and Gerrie Carswell Vernon of Palm Bay; four brothers, Aubie (Buck) Peters of Clearwater, William B. (Billy) Peters of Dunedin, Capt. Benjamin F. Peters Jr. of Lynn Haven; three sisters, Amy Chestnut of Graceville, Nellie Stokes of Phenix City, Ala., and Mary Bedgood of Columbus, Ga., seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was held Sept. 22 at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home in Palm Bay. Burial was in Fountainhead Memorial Park.
Albert Miles, 64
Albert Doyle (A.D.) Miles of Marianna died Sept. 23 at Campbellton-Graceville Hospital in Graceville. He was born in Wauchula but had lived and worked most of his life in Jackson County.
Miles was retired from Sprint Telephone Company after more than 30 years of service.
Survivors include a son, Colin Miles of Marianna; daughter, Alana Ball and husband, Matt, of Cottondale; three brothers, Wesley Charles Miles and Charles Wesley Davis, both of Cottondale, and Don Miles of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Martha Miles of Marianna, Bonnie Mears of Malone, and Agnes Twakins of Dothan, and two granddaughters.
Funeral was held Sept. 27 at Maddox Chapel with the Revs. Lavon Pettis and Stephen Potter officiating.
Burial followed in Poplar Springs Baptist Cemetery near Graceville with James & Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel, directing.
James H. Harris, 43
James Hurtis Harris of Bonifay died Sept. 25 at his home. He was the son of the late James Monroe and Nola Marie Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Carol Smith Harris of Bonifay; a son, Josh Harris of Bonifay; three stepsons, B.J. Gainey of Slocomb, Ala., Chris Gainey and Michael Gainey, both of Bonifay; three daughters, Amanda Harris and Tasha Harris, both of Bonifay, and Joann Coleman of Graceville; two stepdaughters, Michelle Gainey and Crystal Gainey, both of Bonifay; three brothers, Greg Harris, Craig Harris and Wendom Harris, all of Bonifay; and a sister, Cindy Harris of Bonifay.
Memorialization was by cremation with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay in charge of arrangements.
