Lola Elizabeth Wood, 56, of Bonifay died June 3 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 23, 1950, in Ocala and spent most of her life in Okeechobee. She moved to Bonifay in 1993.
Wood was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Wilber Mills, and two daughters, Tammy Jackson and Candy Jackson.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Levi and Julie Jackson; her mother, Mary E. Bellomy; two sisters, Evelyn Carter and Era Mae Groover, and three grandchildren, all of Bonifay, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held June 7 at the Carter Family Cemetery in Esto. The Rev. Ronnie Wright officiated.
Williams Funeral Home of Graceville was in charge of arrangements.
Austin Larry Pafford
Austin Larry Pafford, 59, of Vernon died June 6 at his home. He was born March 11, 1948, in Pavo, Ga., to James Austin and Thelma Gladys Hogan Pafford.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Anita Clark Pafford, and two sons, Scott Pafford and Stephen Pafford, all of Vernon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deonna and Brett Wilson of Bonifay, Becky and Tim Hadley of Tallahassee; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Walter and Sindi Pafford of Waynesville, N.C., Allen and D.J. Pafford of Lumberton, Texas, Tommy and Joyce Pafford of Woodville, Bill and Tracey Pafford of Tallahassee and Bob Pafford of Crestview; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Larry Bishop, Wanda and Glenn Barr, all of Woodville, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was held June 9 at Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle with the Rev. Larry Willoughby and Walter Pafford officiating.
Burial was in New Bethany Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral home of Bonifay directing.
Rory Allen Croft
Rory Allen Croft, 44, died June 10 at his home in Chipley. He was born Nov. 8, 1962, in Panama City to Daniel Calvin Croft Jr. and Elvie Jean (Park) Croft.
He was a member of the Oakie Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Daniel Wade Croft of Rogersville, Tenn., and a sister, Candace Croft of Chipley, several aunts and uncles, two nieces and cousins.
Funeral was held June 13 at Oakie Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Hardesty officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
Eugene O. Strickland
Eugene Oliver “Gene” Strickland, 82, of Bonifay died June 11 at his home. He was born March 28, 1925, in Geneva, Ala., son of the late Z.Y. and Cavie Rae Owens Strickland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary May, and a stepson, Michael Haygens.
Survivors include his wife, Eleonore Schmitt Strickland of Bonifay; a son, Dennis Strickland of Wauchula; two stepsons, Robert Haygens and wife, Bobbie Sue, and Eddie Haygens, all of Opp, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Pam Albritton and husband, Glenn, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jeanette Odom and husband, Mark, of Andalusia, Ala., and Debbie Powell of Dothan, Ala.; five brothers, James Strickland and wife, Linda, of Black, Ala., Kulon Strickland and wife, Jo, of Geneva, Billy Strickland and wife, Sue, of Lake City, Jerry Strickland, Terrell Strickland and wife, Linda, of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Patty Shiver and husband, Ted, of Boca Raton; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was held June 13 at Pleasant Home Freewill Baptist Church in Geneva with the Rev. Jerry McAdams officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.

Edna Gertrude Carnley
Edna Gertrude Carnley, 88, of Bonifay died June 10 at her home.
She is survived by two sons, James Benjamin Carnley of Bonifay and Jimmy Carnley of Bainbridge, Ga.; three daughters, Joyce Vines and Janet Worthy, of Bonifay and Joan Mixon of Donaldsonville, Ga.; three sisters, Gladys Galloway, Vitina Cooper and Lettie Collins, all of Vernon; three brothers, Leroy Cooper, Clinton Cooper and Leon Cooper, all of Vernon; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 13 in the funeral home chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Mashburn and Mitchell Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Bonifay Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home directing.
Hilda S. Bevis
Hilda S. Bevis, 84, of Lovedale died, June 14, in Graceville. She lived most of her life in Jackson County. She was a home maker and a member of the Lovedale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Russell Bevis and a son, Michael T. Bevis.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen R. Bevis and wife, Marsha of Gulf Breeze; James R. Bevis and wife, Debbie of Ozark, Ala.; one daughter, Vicki Willliams, of Panama City; one brother, Alva Stephenson and wife, Maris, of McAllen, Texas; two sisters, Fay Chandler and husband, Harvel, and Shirley Tompkins and husband, Bud, all of Bascom; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, June 18, at Lovedale Baptist Church with Revs. Eric Durham, Ottis Mann and Brent Vickery officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

Ruby Lee Cox
Ruby Lee Wells Cox, 89, died Oct. 13. She was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Newville, Ala., to Wicks and Viola Bowen Wells.
Cox had lived in Graceville and Milton. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 245, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Graceville for more than 50 years, until her health failed.
She also had attended First United Methodist Church in Milton. She was retired as department manager from Gayfers in Tallahassee.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Frank Woodfin Cox, and three brothers.
Survivors include a son, Woodfin D. Cox and wife, Hilda, of Milton; two granddaughters, and two great-granddaughters.
Services were held Oct. 15 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gerald Shelton officiating.
Burial was in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing.
