Edna E. Jackson, 76, a life-long resident of Chipley died July 4 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. She was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Crestview to Leonard and Millie (Blocker) Fuqua.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew R. Jackson of Chipley; six sons, Robert Austin of Panama City, Andrew R. Jackson Jr. of Lafayette, La., Wayne Jackson and David Jackson, both of Birmingham, Ala., Mark Jackson of Ocala and Marty Moore; daughters, Sheila Whitney of Gordon, Ala., and Denise Freeman of Chipley; a sister, Lena P. Boutwell and husband, Freddie, of Graceville; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services were July 9 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Raymond Oquin officiating.
Burial was in Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
Emily Marie Walker
Emily Marie Walker, infant, died July 3 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna. She was born July 3 to Billy and Amanda Walker of Graceville, who survive.
Also surviving are a sister, Hailey Ann Walker of Graceville; maternal grandfather, Danny Pippins and Virginia Smith of Westville; maternal grandmother, Patricia Thomas and husband, Chuck, of Caryville; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Faye Walker of Graceville.
Graveside service was held July 6 in Bonifay City Cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Pennington officiating, and Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Linda Louise Roberts
Linda Louise Roberts, 62, of Vernon died June 21 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. She was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Houston, Texas, to Edger R. and Helen (Jones) Beadle.
Survivors include a son, Cory Roberts of Vernon; three sisters, Wendy Underwood of Palataka, Cindy Barnes of Dunellon and Randi Lemieux of Maine.
A memorial service was held June 25 at Vernon Evangelistic Church with the Rev. James Pate officiating.
Memorialization was by cremation with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of arrangements.
Gloria (Brock) Hendrix
Gloria (Brock) Hendrix, 55, a life-long resident of Chipley, died July 3 at her home. She was born Feb. 13, 1952, to Green and Nina J. (Watkins) Brock of Chipley.
Survivors include her mother, Nina Brock of Chipley; her husband, Sam Hendrix of Chipley; daughters, Hillary Allred of Westville; two brothers, Wesley Brock of Chipley and Billy Joe Brock of Marianna; sister, Peggy Jean Brock of Panama City, and one grandchild.
Memorial services were held July 7 in the funeral home chapel with Don Milton officiating.
Brown Funeral Home of Chipley was in charge of arrangements.
Lanola Rene Smith
Lanola Rene “Coonie” Smith, 88, of Caryville died July 5 at her home. She was born Jan. 28, 1919, in Ponce de Leon to the late William Henry and Annie Monk Padgett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerohn, Caswell and W.C. Padgett; and a sister, Lyndall Padgett Lee.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, William David and Opal McCraney of Fairburn, Ga., Dwight Lee and Cathy Perkins of Sterling, Mich.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Lou and Walt Tillis of Caryville, Margaret Ann and Kenneth French of Bonifay; two sisters, Juanice Stewart of Kinston, Ala., and Annie Sue Ward of Panama City, 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was July 8 at New Bethany Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Wesley Hall and Leon Jenkins officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
Betty Jane Davis
Betty Jane Davis, 83, of Bonifay died July 4 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay. She was born July 14, 1923, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lula Roe Bingham, and her husband, Earl Davis.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie and Elaine Pitts, Jimmy and Carolyn Pitts, all of Minerva, Ohio, Tommy and Connie Pitts of Portsmouth, Va.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Ron Dixon of Vernon, Carolyn Hyden of Nashville, Tenn., Molly Ousley of Evansville, Ind., Linda and Ronnie Short of Topeka, Ind.; a sister, Norma Akers of Polk City, 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay was in charge of arrangements.
Doris Louise Morrell
Doris Louise Morrell, 61, of Elba, Ala., died July 3 at her home.
She was born April 5, 1946, in Spartanburg, S.C., daughter of the late James and Lois Vearl Roberts Bright.
Survivors include her husband, Alton “Tony” Morrell of Elba; three daughters and a son-in-law, Laura Morrell of Babson Park, Shannon Morrell of Elba, Leigh Ann and Jason Huffaker of Ebro; a sister, Betty Littlejohn of Jackson, Miss., and five grandchildren.
Funeral was July 7 at Ebro Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jobi Kirkland officiating.
Burial was in Ebro Community Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
